I think it's beta 2 which brings dsds support to pixel 3. Moreover, even I want to know if anyone has updated to Q beta2 and tried if that works for pixel 2 XL as well or not?

Hello, first of all I would like to apologize for my English. I created this thread to know if it would be possible to bring the new features of the google pixel xl 2 cameras to our google pixel because according to google everything was done through software, would there be any way to bring it to our phone?
What features exactly? The DoF/Bokeh is not only software, it has to do with the dual pixel tech Pixel 2 has, it's hardware, even it's somehow implemented on Pixel 2016s it'll never be as good.
Don't know of any other strikingly different feature other than that.

There's an app somewhere on here that has the pixel 2 camera APK. If you're on the 8.1 DP 1, you have to clone the APK and install it to run alongside the stock camera, because it was originally made for 8.0.
I know there are minor improvements in the new DD View 2017 but i found the older version with a good offer. Will it work with my Pixel 2 XL ?

Hi there! Tomorrow I will receive a new pixel 3 XL, so it will be on Android 9. Now I have Pixel og on Nougat with well-working root etc, and I know that there are some difficulties when rooting Android 10. So I have a question: what Android version is better and well-optimised for Pixel 3 XL? I heard that 3 XL works worse on newer system versions because of Google in some reviews. Is this true? What about the battery life and camera quality? On what Android are they better?

I believe the Pixel 3 should be capable of running a Generic System Image, so it would be unnecessary to port the firmware. It doesn't look like a GSI is available for 14DP yet but I imagine you could potentially use the system.img out of the update package for a more recent Pixel.
