Introduction
This ROM was created for personal use. It was compiled from last sources with some personal changes and bug fixes. It's based on Lord Boeffla's kernel for LineageOS 15.1 ROM with all Kali NetHunter features included. Unfortunately Lord Boeffla stopped developing for Android so it's possibly the last available kernel from him. This ROM was tested on OnePlus 3T LineageOS 15.1 clean installed ROM with NanoDroid microG and MagiskSU.

Boot to TWRP recovery.
Flash the nethunter-oneplus3T-los-oreo-kalifs-full.zip
Reboot to system.
Run NetHunter App and apply all requirements & give it root privileges.
Launch DB Feed in SearchSploit section to initialize the exploits db.
Launch Android Terminal & give it root privileges.
Run 'apt update && apt dist-upgrade -y' command to get the latest updates.
Launch other apps to set them up.
Special installation instructions
There are some "issues" I've discovered during the compiling and installation. I don't know if they are general or just specific one and depends on using NanoDroid microG and MagiskSU. But as it is.
1. All apps removes from /data/app/ after ROM installation complete and I have to manually install them to make everything works. So I've attached all apps in the Download section if anybody will face the same issue.
P.S. This issue was fixed in last commits from kali-nethunter git. So I've recompiled it from sources and added to nethunter installer. But haven't tested.
2. After the first clean installation of NetHunter with built in kernel Boeffla Config App can't sometimes to initialize the kernel. In this case you should boot to TWRP recovery and flash standalone kernel's zip. After that everything should work's great.

No. I was searching a lot of time for custom firmware with monitor mode and packet injection support for QCA6174 model but there is nothing at the moment. So you should use external adapters from recommendation list in official Kali wiki.

It would be pretty neat, if the rom would run on the Oneplus 3 as well... :x

I was thinking about 3 model in the beginning of developing but the thing is I can't publish untested roms. And I don't have a OnePlus 3 model to test everything by myself. But if you want I can compile it just for you. But I can't give you any guarantees.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could compile it for op3 pie, thanks anyway:good:

Take a look to ZaneZam's threads. I'm sure he's already made some builds. I've been using his kernels earlier and they were really great.

I would gladly be the tester if you don't mind the additional work.
We could talk this over Pm or another messaging app if you prefer.
Also congrats to the the successful implementation of your work in the Nethunter repository!

Installation Instructions:
NOTE: This release is also available as an OTA to existing users.
1) Make sure your device has the new partition layout needed for Android M and a custom recovery. Boot to Recovery, wipe cache, dalvik-cache, system and data. ( https://jrizzoli.github.io/dotfiles/ )
2) First install cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1K6-cancro.zip As your base ROM, and make sure it works well.
3) Then Install sailfishos-cancro-release-2.1.3.7-beta.zip on top of it. This will replace your boot image with sailfish boot image, and installs sailfish os to /data/.stowaways/sailfishos . The installation can take a little while, so be patient.
If you are already running, CM12.1 YOG7D/already have SailfishOS installed, you can simply flash the Sailfish OS without wiping flash/partition.

Hey, Nope. SFDroid support is on my TODO list for now.
It may take a while though. I need a Multirom working with CM13.0(which is my primary ROM), so I can safely port all the needed changes for SFDroid to my CM12.1 base without losing all my data. Any help welcome here!
Cheers

Great!
Right now i don't think it's ready for daily use yet, as sometimes my device's sensors and audio stop working randomly. Not sure if it is just my device though (because of some weird hacks I've been using).
I suspect this maybe because the CM 12.1 zip i was using to boot differs from the sources I've used to compile this rom. Once that issue is fixed, i think this will be usable for daily use. Camera works, Browser works, basic apps work.. And compiling that cm 12.1 means even sfdroid will work ...

Could be. Most bugs i had to fix last week were because of differing versions too. That's why I'm trying to compile a cm12.1 right now.
Also right now as I'm on CM13.0, i was just using a system.img from the CM12.1.zip.. And making sailfish loop Mount that as the actual /system/ . not sure if that's causing any issues.
Right now my options are port multirom to CM13.0 (having some weird errors there) or wipe my device clean and downgrade to CM12.1 (have been trying to avoid this for months now!).

Due to legal reasons, Sailfish OS doesn't bundle the proprietary blobs(device drivers, system libraries etc..) provided by the phone vendors in it's zip.
As I have compiled Sailfish OS using sources from CM-12.1, it tries to access these proprietary files on your device via. CM-12.1 libraries. That's why you have to flash a CM-12.1 zip first, before flashing Sailfish OS. (i.e just clean flashing sailfish.zip won't work)
As of now, you don't have to flash gapps, as there is no way to use them from Sailfish OS. Once we get sfdroid running, we can run Android apps from within Sailfish OS, then you can flash gapps if you want.
Sailfish OS already comes with an su binary (accessed via. devel-su command) and full root access. So, you won't need Super SU.

You can use https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse-sailfishos app to install apps.. I will include this in the zip for the next build (Which will soon be available).
First enable installation of untrusted software in Settings, then download the latest rpm of that from your browser and install it.

[DISCONTINUED][MOD] Kali NetHunter for Honor 5x

What is Kali NetHunter? If you don't know what NetHunter is read this: https://www.kali.org/kali-linux-nethunter/
Q: Why don't I flash the original nethunter version by keeping my current kernel?
A: To get Nethunter fully work you need a kernel that supports its features, such as put a wireless adapter in monitor mode or perform a HID Keyboard attack
Special Patches included in this kernel:
mac80211 injection patch, to put wireless adapters in monitor mode; note that built-in wireless chipset doesn't support monitor mode and you have to use external wireless adapter (see supported wireless cards here)
HID patch, to perform HID keyboard attacks
CD-ROM patch, to emulate CD-ROMs in DriveDroid
Warning!!!:
This version is not tested by me (since I don't have a hono 5x ) but it's tested by another user that told me it works, so, if it doesn't blame him not me
Disclaimer:
Code:
I'm not responsable for bricked devices :( , dead phone chargers,
nuclear explosions or global warming.
Flash it at YOUR OWN RISK.
Required Downloads:
Download any CM based ROM
Download any custom recovery (like twrp)
Download my Nethunter "ROM" here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=118871 All future updates will be in that folder
How to Install (CM/RR):
Note: When you flash my zips, don't check "zip signature verification" box in TWRP recovery
1) Install TWRP
2) Enter in TWRP recovery
3) Flash any CM based (like cm, rr, aicp...) ROM
4) Optional: flash Google Apps after flashed a cm based recovery
5) Flash NetHunter zip
7) Reboot
8) Open Nethunter app and go to menu<chroot manager<install chroot and download the full chroot, for devices which have more storage available, or minimal chroot, for devices which have less space available
9) Close NetHunter app and reopen it to complete the installation
10) Enjoy
Important: I called NetHunter "ROM", but it isn't a ROM, so, you don't have to wipe system partition.
Note: report only bugs related to NetHunter and not to cm based roms

Kali Linux on Honor 5X! This is amazing!
Downloaded and flashed on KIW-L22 - On Tipsy OS - AOSP and AOKP (CM Based) - Initial boot took a while longer than normal, got a boot loop first, but it came back up after cache/dalvik wipe
Kali chroot manager stuck in "Checking" even after 10 minutes though
Edit: Lost root on installing this and didn't notice it, and busybox too.....reinstalling SuperSU through TWRP is not bringing it back root access either, so cannot install busybox too......nethunter app returned an error for not getting root access and no busybox installation!
PS: In love with the boot animation!!

1. On Tipsy OS - AOSP - working fine! Initial boot took a while longer than normal, got a boot loop first, but it came back up after cache/dalvik wipe
2. On AOKP (CM based) - Flash and wipe cache/dlavik, took a while longer but booted up normally, but I guess it will settle
Still trying to figure out how and what to use it for but just wanted to report back that the flashing process went well!!

Anyway i will upload the zip with full chroot once i finish my cm14 port for a5

I even tried the alfa rtl8187l chipset without any result,
The problem is the low current for the adapter from the phone,
The usb hub with an external power supply maybe solves the problem, but it is not practical for a displacement

Hello everyone, first of all, great work @Android-Andi thank you to take the time to support our old device !
And then sorry for my noob questions but :
- I didn't quite understand the difference between device specific and unified builds and I don't want to make a mistake flashing the wrong one.
- What is the main difference between Omni 4.4, Omni 6.0 or Slim 6.0? I want to use one of those but I don't know which one I think Omni 4.4 is the closest from what I had with the official Jelly Bean ROM and the 2 others are optimized version of Marshmallow. And is Slim 6.0 faster than Omni 6.0?
Thank you again

Unified builts are for all types of tuna: Maguro, Toro, Toro+. When booting only the needed (device specific) drivers are loaded, but the drivers fir all supported devices are on board...
Unified works on all tuna variants: maguro, toro and toroplus at same time. It detects your variant on first boot and places needed files. That's the one I'll compile in future too.
Which rom is the best? Use the power of your TWRP and try it out. Test one, check if it fits your needs. If not, make a backup and try a different rom.

I can ask you a different question With all the new ROMs, I don't know which ROM you would like to receive bug reports from. Crash logs, etc. I know there is no point giving you CM12.1 crash logs. Which ROM would you like us testing and reporting bugs from?
Thank you for providing this ROM! I finally found a ROM with a working camera for the Gnex with security patches (from 2017-07).

@Android-Andi is it possible to use this ROM with F2FS file system? Which DDK version is included in this ROM? Thank you for your contribution.
Those who are on 4.4:
AOSP Browser was removed for security reasons. Most lightweight Browser use KitKats webview which isn't up to date any more and there's ATM no proper way to update it.
You should use a browser which has its own webview implementation like Chrome, Firefox or Chromium.
From what I have tested Chromium seems to be a good solution. Here's my self compiled Chromium:
https://github.com/andi34/prebuilt_chromium/raw/master/ChromePublic.apk
(It's only missing h264 encoder for legal reasons...H.264 is not a free codec and I don't have the license for distributing)
For Android 5+
https://github.com/andi34/prebuilt_chromium/raw/master/ChromeModernPublic.apk
For Android 7+
https://github.com/andi34/prebuilt_chromium/raw/master/MonochromePublic.apk
New builds are up.
Switched to default libion, thx to @Ziyan and @amaces !
Note: don't flash any custom kernel on this build (also AnyKernel isn't compatible ATM)!
I've been away from the scene for a while so please catch me up. Does this rom bypass carrier limitations when using usb tether?

March update is online. Enjoy!
Dear developer,
firstable many thanks for your Rom
I was using OMNI 4.4.4 dated 2015 but I was living issue with GMAIL, HANGOUT and GDRIVE
Today I discovered your product and Installed it on my MAGURO with a clean installation
Unfortunately after few hours I am suffering reboot
The system boots well but after few seconds it reboots itself ... continuosly ...
I am using omni_tuna-4.4.4-20180311-1556
I used GAPPS open_gapps-arm-4.4-pico-20180427
I rooted with SUperSU 2.82 R5
I tried to wipe cache, dalvik-cache, system and reinstall the rom and the gapps wo success
I tried to remove root wo success
HAve you some idea to help me ?
Thanks
Paolo
[EDIT]
I wiped all (clean installation) and installed the older version of rom (omni_tuna-4.4.4-20180128-0005)
[I noted that this version is bigger than the newer of around 30MB ...)
Same GAPPS af above
Same root of above
It runs well now ... cross the fingers and stay tuned
People having issues on latest build could try https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76429699&postcount=188
The request from root was one of my suspect
Do you suggest to flash new kernel after last updated ROM, gapps and root and so before the first boot ?
Do you confirm that this workaround is not necessary with the previous version ?
Are you able to identify which version needs and which didn't ?
For instance I am using the January version .... Did I need to flash new kernel ?

It could be it's needed on all KK roms since end of last year. But only works for latest builds using default libion.

[ROM][Mi5][7.1.2][EAS] JDC Nougat Revived

Hey there,
good news for everyone who is missing the great JDC Nougat!
With smeroni68's authorization I'm offering you the latest version of the ROM, built from source, with some changes to keeping it up to date and maintained.
These changes are:
Latest security bulletins and changes from AOSPKernel upstreams from Linux StableUpdates from Code Aurora Forum (CAF)Some smallish modifications of standard apps or behavior
All credit goes to the JDC team!
(Check attachment for a list of team members).
They are the geniuses behind this awesome ROM and kernel, and I'm only making basic and minor modifications to it.
Besides a huge thanks to each member of the JDC team, thanks to Google, Lineage, Linux, CAF, Github & everyone else involved!
And many thanks also to DennySPB who helped me a lot with all the building stuff!
Have fun and enjoy!

Recommended firmware
Last and latest Oreo firmware for our Mi 5:
8.11.22
ROM installation
Install latest TWRP
Make backups and store them externally
Wipe dalvik, cache, system, vendor, data
When coming from any android version other than Nougat 7.1.2:
Make external backups of your internal storage content
Format data (type "yes" way)
Reboot to recovery to access the data partition correctly again
Flash adequate firmware
No reboot in between the following and the optional steps
Flash ROM
Optionally:
Flash Gapps for 7.1.x arm64. I recommend OpenGapps Pico with additions (1) OR Stock with gapps-config.txt file (2):
(1) Flash Gapps additions (for example these by @Deltadroid)
(2) Check post_#128
Flash ThemeReady GApps package for Nougat arm64 (I don't)
Flash root (Latest Magisk is working fine for me)
After the first boot
Follow the gapps assistant (in case you installed gapps)
Wait 2 - 5 minutes to let everything settle in
Reboot to system
Kernel installation
You'll only wanna install the kernel separately when there's a kernel-only update later than the last ROM version!
Wipe dalvik and cache
Flash the kernel zip-file
Optionally: Re-flash root (if you were rooted before or now wanna be rooted)

Use the recommended firmware (Oreo 8.11.22).
If that doesn't help, here is a fix that I used once successfully when I had the same problem.
Thanks to Mi5 Arsenal!:
flash zcx twrp
make a backup of your persist partition (let's call that x)
store x externally in case the fix shouldn't work or make anything worse (which I don't believe, but still)
download this zip file and place it where x had been stored (replace x with it)
hit restore in twrp, and select the new backup file you just put in place where x was
reboot to system
You can switch to official twrp afterwards without any problem!

Just so you could flash back stock kernel separately.
Nothing you need for the ROM installation.
Thanks for this great work! Can I dirty flash it on latest original JDC nougat? And can I flash B-B Kernel or better not to do this?

You should be able to dirty flash, although I think that a clean flash is advisable.
B-B-kernel should be working, but keep in mind that I am gonna keep updating the stock kernel and the B-B one is getting more and more outdated.
Edit:
This info is outdated!
B--B-kernel is even built into the ROM now!

I would suggest Nougat-based firmware, but maybe on Oreo-based everything is working as well - can't say.
You need to try that out (on your own risk).
Thanks very much @Phil_Smith
Finally.. must try this one.. thanks @Phil_Smith
I can't believe this is perfect.
Can you add more status bar customizations?

3. Flash latest Magisk
4. Install busybox can be one from Magisk repository
5. Install Magisk Nethunter module from repository it have all apps which are needed to get fully working Nethunter (Another version of Nethunter apk link)
6. Install kalifs-armhf-*.tar.xz by Nethunter manager
7. Extract Nethunter_Binaries.7z and binaries to folders:
Firmwares: system/etc/firmware and give permissions to every file rw-r--r--
hid-keyboard binary: system/xbin/ and give permissions to it rwxr-xr-x

DriveDroid without bugs made by disabling HID Patch:
To disable HID Patch: use this command in terminal: "echo Y > /sys/module/g_android/parameters/hid_disable"
Changing mode isn't instant after changing module status. Use DriveDroid (mount iso -> dismount) to active hid_disable.
To enable HID Patch: "echo N > /sys/module/g_android/parameters/hid_disable" and use DriveDroid like with disabling HID Patch.
HIDPatchSwitch this is simple script which can switch between HID enabled and disabled and show changed status.
If you need LineageOS 15.1 kernel version is too available as version 0.1 in downloads.

No is not possible to enable monitor mode with bcm4359 on Lineage 16, only with compatible usb cards. In LineageOS 14 is that possible because of modded wifi driver. This driver works only with LineageOS 14 but it is bugged. If you capture packets with this driver all of they are malformed and unusable for further testing, only packet injection works fine.
You can try Dualboot patcher and have two version of LineageOS.
Ah, ok, thx
