Though the Red and green are set to low and color to cool , the display is still warm ... And actually the color calibration is very narrow and doesn't change it much . Any solution ?

Brightenes Level App
I recommend "SwitchPro Widget", which is available from the Marketplace. It allows you to toggle the brightnees, even to levels lower than the automatic setting.
Hi, i dont want to change brightness manually, but want to change the default values which are used for automatic brightness. Is this possible?

Perhaps you could put some tinted glass/plastic over the sensor, so the phone thinks it's darker than it actually is and doesn't make the screen as bright?

good idea, but that's not the resolution, even in night it's very bright and for me even at manual 1% brightness it's a bit to bright for me...
would be awesome to have more possibilities to work with the amoled screen - by the way - for black it needs 0% energy so better to read white letters on black background
edit: me using "Quick Settings" to handle brightness etc.

I would like the automatic brightness to be just a bit more brighter when im outside. Would be great to be able to adjust it!!
If there was something like a -2 -1 0 +1 +2 way to adjust it!

I just tried the app called Dimmer.
It is perfect.
Goes to a very low setting and then switches back to whatever you had before.
I have the same problem with my Desire that the Auto Brightness doesn't go all the way down and the HTC Denmark support basically just said meh. And said they would report it as a wish for future updates.

I have my phone on autobacklight, but I find that in dark settings its too bright!!
This app does what I want with a simple click! Shame however that there's no way to reduce the lowest brightness on auto setting built into the OS.
Hello to all!!.. is possible to find an application to tweak the saturation of the SGS2 screen!!?... it has the worst color rendition I saw in a cellular screen, I work in photography I can not even show the pictures in my telephone!!... I like this phone but with the screen of the iphone, miles away better.

Thanks for your feedback, the only problem is the Saturation slider, it does not work on my SGS2 and that slider is the most important
Besides that, that application is not done in good way, the RGB sliders has to modify de levels of color not the levels of brightness as the application do.
Moving all the sliders to the left has to decrease saturation not brightness as it does in a wrong way.

I`m disappointed too with the screen colours.If I take a picture of white walls it seems to have a white-green colour.In my old HTC HD2 with HyperDroid-CM7-2.3.7,the white was brilliant white.If I put the same picture that I taked with the HTC in my SGSII,the white looks a lot greener.Is there a fix for that problem?

The colors of SGS2 are pure crap, I dont understand why there are lot of people interested in develop a firmware but they forget this part that is really important, you pay lot of money for a phone that gives you crap colors, totally biased and has no possibility to calibrate them.
Totally agree...My old HD2 with 5MP camera takes a lot better photos than SGSII.The problem is RGB calibration of the screen,not the camera.

Yes, I refer to the color rendition of the screen.
+1 for this... couldn't find any screen tuner/gamma adjuster/saturation adjuster or whatsoever for i9100 that work in ICS...
And my screen is way too blueish... and color is washed....

The gamma should not be modified, if some app is modifying the gamma is doing the wrong thing, it should modify RGB values or saturation remaining the brightness constant.
Hmmm, i thought it was gamma thing also... since I hate the blueish tint... I prefer warmer color.... >,<

What you are looking for is the Kelvin temperature to change, changing the gamma curve will change the behavior of brightness and color and that is not the way.
The controls that should have the telephone are real RGB controls without modifying the brightness, Temperature and Saturation, even better Contrast (but it should not change the colors), with that controls you could calibrate the screen the way best fit to you.
Maybe that's the control that included in CM9...

I don't think so... Kindle had issues and never got a utility to adjust it.
I checked my colors against my TV which is calibrated. Factory ROM gives a darn good picture, for such a device. Some overly reds but with proper brightness they are less noticeable. I don't know what setting you have the display on, I set mine for movie and leave it there. Dynamic and Standard is not good for Movies and Pictures. Though if you play games Dynamic may help. Standard is basic for reading and browsing.

I like having on the night light mode all the time. I don't like the blue color all phones have.
Same here and I also think it's a little bit cold. But having night mode on all the time? Way too warm for me....
I had this also and my colors here is somehow slightly warm compared to my xperia z lcd

You can set the intensity. It's better for your eyes (or that's what they say). And you get used to it in a few hours But it's personal preference.

How to set intensity?
Just go to settings/display/night light. There is a slider there.
I also placed a shortcut in the quick tiles so I can turn it off if I want to and get to the slider.
If you get root and Kernel Adiutor, (maybe necessary to flash new kernel), you can set through kernel native RGB, saturation options, etc. It's called KCAL color calibration. There are posts at xda with even different profiles (think like 'how to turn lcd into amoled'). I don't have the A2, but since reviews complain about blue tint and lack of display calibration as in MIUI I thought this could be the solution for AO.
I also complain from this ****, I compred color temperature to my friend's phone (with miui)
And I found a huge difference in color temperature!!
