Air Command in Dex with a different note taking app - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Questions & Answers

I love Air Command, use it to jot a quick not, or capture part of a screen and take notes on it... but what I dont like..
As soon as you enter DEX mode (I have the samsung keyboard case) air command goes away... no partial screen captures.
My wish... Air command worked in Dex mode, and while I am at it, that samsung notes either sync'd across devices to my chromebook and PC, or if I could change system note taking to app to something that does like Google Keep on MS Onenote.
Anyone have any workarounds for these same problems?

S-Pen button doesn't toggle between inking/erasing anymore

In the old Note phones/tablets, the S-Pen button would toggle between inking and erasing in the S-Note app. I thought this was extremely useful.
In my Note 3, the button functionality is now overwritten with Air Command. It seems the toggling in S-Note can't happen anymore and I imagine the Note 10.1 2014 would be the same way. Can anyone else confirm?
It's similar to Note 3 behavior, button always opens Air Command, even in S Note.
And just to expand on the previous comment, on the Note 10.1, while you can change the click functionality, your only options are Air Command, a singe option from Air Command, and nothing. This is a macro function so I won't be surprised if they add stuff like this back in an update.

[Q] Disable screenshot function

When holding the pen's button and then touching the screen, a screenshot will be taken, followed by an editing window.
That itself might be a useful feature. But it regularly drives me nuts…
I'm using LectureNotes for handwriting and use the S-Pen's button to activate the eraser. But one must really take care not to touch the display - which regularly happens (especially when writing really fast).
Then it takes like forever till that editing window appears and is cancelled again.
I can't find any settings to deactivate that feature. Even deactivating 'automatic editing of screenshot' in the settings has absolutely no effect.
However: taking screenshots could still be possible with power+home. But since I rarely need screenshots at all I would be happy as well, if someone could tell how to deactivate screenshots completely.
I am stock rooted already - if that's necessary
Set the pen in Lecture notes to do it when you push the button . to take a screenshot you have to touch the screen and hold it in Lecture notes you shouldnt need to touch the screen at all to switch.............
Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think, it has nothing to do with LectureNotes, since with the pen you can take screenshots everywhere.
It just happens there unadvertent.

Pull S-Pen and s-note + air command open?

Hello,
When I take out my s-pen, not only does air command come on, but the s-note app also opens.
I went into the s-pen settings and ticked NONE. S-note still pops open...AND its only half there...
I only want air command to show. So, how do I tell my note 2 (L900/SynergyRom), to not open s-note?
Thx!

Spen Action Memo Not Working

Out of no where it stopped working,
I take out the spen and chose action memo it will open and it will close automatically by itself real quick every other thing with spen works except action memo
SNOTE does works but not action memo when i open it up from the spen pop up menu.
Anyone else?
Same here shortly after 5.1.1 update
I'm having the same issues, after I updated to 5.1.1 on my AT&T note 4, I factory reset and then a few days afterward I started noticing that the action memo, when minimized, would sometimes disappear within a popup window (calculator, for example) and wouldn't come back up until some time later when that app was open again, and not even consistently then. It's as if the phone forgot that it had a minimized action memo up, but wouldn't open it again because the system was registering that it already had an instance of that running. A restart fixes the problem but it shouldn't be necessary to reboot just so you can get a function working properly again. I use action memo almost every day, and although I have my doubts that it could be fixed (given that the AT&T note 4's are practically unrootable, eliminating the option of flashing a fix from here or another source), I'd looove a recommendation or potential remedy.

How to disable annoying photo voice control prompt

Can anyone suggest how to disable the annoying photo voice control prompt everytime i open the camera on my Note 10+?
I am sorry that Ican't help you, as that prompt has never appeared in my 4 monts old note 10+ !
go to settings, shooting methods, and enable (to stop the prompt). If disabled, it will continue to prompt.
This is quite idiotic of Samsung not to allow us to stop this prompt. I don't need my phone or bixby listening to anything I do.
The short of it is, i don't believe you can prevent the prompt.

Click to collapse
Firstly, i agree with @winol.
I have never seen/had such a prompt when using
camera.
I have had my Note 10 + since launch (last year)
I supect it is a Accessibility setting.. that you could have enabled.. by mistake? (Not sure)
Otherwise, it's maybe some other app or settings...
Bottom line
is that prompt appears , only for certain Regions/ CSC/devices etc ?
@wrecklesswun post #3 suggest that it could be
Camera settings /shooting methods ?
However, my Camera /Shootings methods only
covers instructions
eg Say "Smile Cheese, Capture" etc
Nothing, about " enhancements Talkback etc" as in your screenshot. .?
If i turn off this Shooting methods /Voice control, i get absolutely no "toast messages" or messages to enable it.
Good luck
