LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Recommended to clean flash always

Can GSIs be installed on top of this, or do I have to flash back to stock first? I was hoping to poke around at Q when an ARM A-only image pops up.

What's special about my build:
Sometimes I pick a few patches from the Lineage Gerrit before they are approved and merged into our trees.
The device trees will also be improved overtime with various improvements from mixed sources (for example better presets, different HAL solutions and so on).

If not then download & flash latest pie stable firmware first from here PIE_20190401_firmware.zip ( Thanks to @Subinsmani )
Installation:
Download & Place ROM & Gapps in your internal storage/virtual SD
Boot into TWRP
Wipe System, Data, Dalvik, Cache.

Reporting bugs:
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred (please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing).
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg (do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot, a logcat after a reboot is useless).
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log (only applies to SELinux enforcing builds).
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

How it is compared to other heavily loaded custom roms?
Is OTG working? How's the sound output via headphones and speakers?
And any other you want to mention?
Thanks.

I personally dont like bloated rom so im not try it, but compared to Official Oreo this seems to have same stability level. Sound with speaker is good, with headphone is acceptable but not great. Sadly i dont have any OTG to test. And google camera (GCam_6.2.024_N7P_test1.1) working greats! Photo sample from google camera & Battery performance attached below.
There's no update since last week, as there's no source or device changes..
Next update will be probably after any source / device side changes.
This Rom is enforcing or permissive?

anybody have a lte fix for boost mobile on this rom? im only getting 1x and 3g
i know this is only alpha build but has anyone tried it how stable is it
Tried in on rhannah.. out of curiosity
Although it is not listed under compatible devices, I was curious to see if it would work on the rhannah variant but it doesnt boot. Phone just stays on the black screen with the N/A on the top left corner.
I reverted back to this ROM under 15.1... waiting for it to be fully compatible to make the switch.

First I wanted to say thanks for the build it's amazing.....I wanted to ask if someone can tell me how to properly do a log cat? Hot spot doesn't work, I turn it on and it turns right back off, I know the rom still has a few things to be worked out so was trying to do a log cat and post it up to help get it fixed if possible. Once again thanks for the newest rom.

The build is stable enough to run.. I'm running it now, very smooth rom no issues other than hotspot and a couple other things but I'm pretty sure they'll be fixed soon
Edit: I see why a lot of the devs tell us to research because we can most likely find how to's on our own if we search enough....I found out how to get a log cat from my computer but also leaned how to get it from my phone now I just need to learn how to post it here.

Well, it used to work even in initial build I doubt at your APN
Man Android sure has changed. So I have the metro version. Rooted and decrypted. Few questions tho still kinda new to the custom rom flashing.
Will I need to decrypt again?
I assume the hannah_t is the software variation, unless I'm in the wrong place, just wanna make sure I have hannah_na tmo...nvm that's baseband lol.
When flashing it goes rom and gapps, I assume I can stack up the installation in twrp.
Lastly, sorry kinda answered myself when typing lol, if rom has issues and I revert, do I revert twrp back or will this updated version be ok to keep

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Is there any chance you could try and port Lineage 17 to the V20?
Why doesn't this work on the T-Mobile model, and is there any hope for owners of that model in terms of custom ROMs?
What partitions would I check on backup in TWRP if I was going to install Lineage 16 or 17?

Because T-Mobile wants to be different, if you try to unlock the bootloader the normal way you get a brick. If my memory is working correctly, Vlad has mentioned something about being able to unlock the bootloader but with soldering and opening the device itself.

Well first you would backup everything minus system.img and Vendor.img...on both slots just to make sure

The tmobile variants always have a different RSA key for their firmware -> the one from the other models wont work.
Kernel and so on would work fine (would just need different firmware files), but the issue is that you cant even unlock/root in the first place (to my knowledge)
Unbelievably great work guys!!!!! My upgrade is available next month but this really makes me think twice!
How does it run? Battery life any better on this? Sound? Thanks again!
I have it installed but keep losing my phone/data. It won't recognize my SIM card any suggestions?

working fine for me on sm-g981b, just no 5g, i dont really mind tho, it chugged battery anyway
By the way guys, the solution for fingerprint enrollment is to tap very quickly at first until you get to the next screen, and then scan as normal
Stuck in a boot loop / first boot taking painfully long, going on 6 hours.
Anyone else experience that too?
