[APP][ROOT] Alternative to Viper4Android - Honor 10 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi, Guys.
This is just a heads up info just in case you, like myself, miss Viper4Android (V4A) which for the time being is incompatible with Huawei/Honor devices due to the lack of 64bit driver support. I assume you have experienced it before of course.
If you managed to root your device with Magisk, just flash these to get a similar experience:
Ainur Sauron
Ainur JamesDSP
Audio Modification Library
Tested on Honor 10 C636 Emui 9 .212, latest canary build of Magisk.
Cheers!

Hi what other modules do you use.

Oreo 8.1 audioserver dependencies

Hi guys,
Wondering does anyone know the file dependencies for system/bin/audioserver such as any lib*.so or hal files in Oreo 8.1. I'm trying to get axon 7s Dolby atmos to work on other ROMs aside from NOS.

i can get viper to work without issues on say liquid remix or aosip but every time installing the atmos, due to audioserver, it results in bootloop. atmos oreo only works on NOS and z-unleashed.

Viper for Android on rooted stock emui 8 with magisk

Hello guys,
I'm using the stock emui 8 rom on my honor 8 pro.
I have always intensively used viper for Android on my previous phones, and now I would like to have it in my honor 8 pro. I used to have resseruction remix as a custom ROM but it had too many bugs. Does anyone know how to get viper for Android working on a rooted stock ROM? Everytime I try installing the driver it says it was successfully but after each restart it asks again to install the driver. I have tried many things only APK install flashing v4a using twrp and using selinux changers and terminal commands but nothing seems to work.
Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help!
You have rooted it right...use the magisk v4a module...

I tried that keeps asking me to install v4a audio drivers
Viper4Android (32bit) is not compatible with EMUI8 audio driver (64bit)

Viper4android, dolby modules and others not working after updating to 3.1

Hey guys, I just want to ask you if you tried to use v4a or dual speaker& dolby magisk modules in a50 one ui 3.1. Mine is stuck in bootloop.
even if you use GSIs, it will still be stuck at bootloop
Do not flash module.
you have to use viper4android apk.
For more info join telegram group of viper.
I have same mobile and everything is working fine.

HowTo install Viper4Android

I struggled a while before getting V4A to work (I am using the latest ProjectX-ROM on my S20 FE 5G snap) so I'll post what worked for me.
Maybe it helps someone with similar problems.
In Magisk I installed ACP from here.
As the official V4A 2.7.2.1 didn't work for me, I used the "ViPER4AndroidFX-repackagedhoch25-1b03ff9.zip" version from here and it works like a charm.

No need for TWRP to root.
To adapt to your device.

Thanks, but my question was the inverse: I want to root, typically I did using TWRP and flashing magisk zip. I was guessing if Magisk supports Poco F5 already.

This method is not recommended due to A/B partitions and current TWRP development for A12/13.
And root for what?

I use root for two main purposes: ad blocker in hosts (as I also use VPN service, so I don't want to keep VPN busy with ad blocker) and removal of bloatware with magisk debloater.

Xiaomi.eu ROM for 12 Turbo / Poco F5 with root is great, because one can install among others ad-block apps such as AdAway and block all ads in apps (Youtube excluded). I rooted xiaomi.eu (via magisk and "boot.img") couple of days ago and it's working great. You're right, when you wouldn't recommend rooting via TWRP and flashing magisk.zip for the reasons you mentioned in post #4 above.
Have any of you tried installing viper4android magisk?
A lot of devices are being unable to install the old viper 4 android. I know there's a 64bit version now that usually works on devices that can't install the other one. It doesn't have all of the features it's missing headphones surround sound and gain increase. Which are the two best features of the whole vipers situation. So I want to purchase a Poco F5 or F5 pro. So I am wondering if viper is working?
You'll probably have to install magisk delta canary latest build because the new magisk v26.1 won't work with viper now either. It will work if you Install viper with magisk delta and then switch to magisk official v26.1.
Normally what you do is you install the busy box module, The James DSP 4.6 module, Selinux permissive module, audio modifications library 4.2 module and the viper for Android module finally. You don't have to use the James DSP but sometimes it corrects problems in the system to get viper to work. I'm not sure how much you guys are aware so I am trying to cover everything.
Pixel 6, 7 pro it won't work on. My tab S8 plus, S22 and S23 ultra it won't work on. Pixel 7 pro with AOSP roms make it work when those are available.
