Need Honor View 20 Camera Apk for interesting experiment. - Honor View 20 Questions & Answers

Hello, everyone. I am a Mate 20 X owner and I am trying an interesting experiment. The Honor View 20 has an interesting software trick that not even the Mate and P30-Series have. AI Ultra-clear mode takes several 48MP exposures into one high quality 48MP photo. In theory, the Mate 20 and P30 series should be better suited for AI Ultra-clear mode since the sensors are more powerful than the IXM586 on the Honor View 20 and 40MP photos should be a bit easier to process than the 48MP. The P30 Pro in particular should be well suited because its RYYB sensor collects 40% more light and is optically stabilized. The theory is to create photos with a quality that's higher than what is expected from a smartphone. Of course this could all fall flat and the app will crash upon launch. But this is XDA, nothing ventured, nothing gained!
I have looked all over the net, but I could not find a camera Apk for the Honor View 20. I am hoping that a Honor View 20 owner would be kind enough to send me the apk for this experiment. If it works, I would also like if some P30 Pro owners would join me in this experiment. Thanks so much!

Was looking for this aswell. P30 Pro owner here.

The SuperSpectrum sensor on your P30 Pro, in theory, should produce outstanding results. Hopefully someone would be able to help us out.

Thanks for the share. But without an experienced developer we will not be able to run it. For Huawei devices it is treated like an update to the existing camera app.
I tried it several times with App clone, and even made it to Install, but it crashes after wanting the permission for localisation. I guess someone would have to Mod it. I would If I could.

Not only camera you also need libraries inorder to get the camera working.
To find what libraries are missing run logcat while opening the camera.

Would be great if somebody with the ability could look into this!

[REQUEST] HDR photography

Is it possible to build HDR functionality into the camera settings of either sense or AOSP ROMS? I was thinking of something similar to or better than the iOS 4.1 update for the iphone 4.
HDR--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging[/URL]
HDR FTW
I would also be very interested in a possible solution to this request.

It's already happened. Camera 360 Pro in the market (by mAPPn, Inc.) has HDR functionality.
Is the iphone's hdr also a simulation or the real thing?

well, the iphones implementation of HDR is actually the real thing, the one I mentioned is a simulation. But it's a pretty decent simulation, and already available.

Rats. Came across a review on it a while ago that said it was supposed to be a pretty good simulation, but I haven't tried it myself. I just remembered the name of the app when I saw this thread, and thought it would be a workable solution. Oh well.
Sent from my blah blah blah blah
Thanks for the suggestion but I am looking for the real thing not simulated HDR. Actually I am just curious if its possible.
Best method is to get a stand or something to set your phone on. Turn exposure all the way down snap a shot to the middle snap a shot and all the way up. Then bring those images into photoshop or an hdr program and combine them. I think the IOS does this all automatically, but i suspect you would get a better hdr from doing it manually yourself.
I imagine someone could write something to automatically change exposures and snap another pic

Any Mi A2 Stock Camera w/ Long Exposure for Pie?

Hello, lads.
This is my very first post, so go easy on me.
I've bought, yesterday, a Mi A2 Lite and since then I am looking for some stuff to make me feel more comfortable with it. The Stock ROM is beyond acceptable, and having easy root with Magisk is amazing.
But the camera really bothers me, the stock app is boring and lacks features.
So then, I've start my adventure, looking for anything promising, I found a good Google Camera (6.1/5.1) mod, etc, today I found csabiii's thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/themes/mi-a2-camera-magisk-module-32sec-long-t3844208) about the Stock Mi A2 Camera, and its amazing features, such as Group Selfies, Multiple HDR modes, etc., but what caught my attention was the "32s Long Exposure", I tried it but it's outdated (Sep. 2018), probably for the early Oreo build, so I started to look for Pie versions but no luck.
I've seen something on Magisk's Repo that could function (MIUICamera v2 for whyred), but after softbricking my phone with Mi A2 Stock v4.5 module, I've given up.
So I came here, to ask you guys if anyone know about a functioning Mi A2 Stock Camera w/ Long Exposure, or a substitute that might do the job.
TL;DR: Any Mi Stock Camera that could/does work with Pie and has its Long Exposure. If not, could be just a normal Play Store app (paid or free), doesn't even has to be 32s exposure, 15 sec might do it.
Thanks in advance.
PS: Does anyone know if those ZommFix 3.1 zip change anything for Mi A2 Lite?

Yea, I was considering it. Is there too much quality difference? From GCam to OpenCam

Major difference if you know how to set up everything properly. Open Camera only "lacks" that fake bokeh effect.

I've tested it, many features indeed, I'll try to config it for better results. But I'm still looking for something "better".
About the Long Exposure, I've tried the Camera FV-5, but it kinda looks rubbish. Argh! Frustrating, tbqh.

Open Camera is as good as it can get with this device, it doesn't have great sensors to begin with.
I would suggest trying freedcam(after looking for many hours)

it has a lot of options

Remove "http://www." from the link (like dropbox.com instead of http://www.dropbox.com). If it also doesn't help, replace "." with "[dot]" (like dropbox[dot]com instead of dropbox.com). That way you can post a link.
It is simple limitation for new users on XDA. You can ask moderators (by reporting your own OP) by asking them to remove limitations for you to share links to be useful for users. If you use it badly (spamming and/or breaking any rule) you will get penalized.
There are some mods with autofocus working, but HDR doesnt work on them. An example, bsg_test_8.1, and if you try any configureable mod, setting as hdr model 'pixel HW YUV' and image output 'YUV' fixes autofocus but breaks HDR (some apks dont take the pic at all, some others take green pics like whatsapp cam, with no hdr processing. It seems like HDR is breaking focus.
The real problem is finding one with both, autofocus AND hdr working... But im losing all hope.
I haven't lost all hope just because new Xiaomi phones have the same problem. If someone fix the problem for the new models (like note 7) I think we might have a chance here.

stop give false illusions, it seems that autofocus issue is a kernel related bug, this app does the same as the others

Question Pixel 6 Pro gcam mod?

Whilst this may initially seem pointless, given we have the Pixel gcam of course, has anyone found/tried any gcam mods for our device? The reason I ask is I'd maybe be interested in adjusting some of the saturation/sharpness levels saved as a profile, to suit my personal preferences
I haven't seen any yet. I'm sure there will be in time.
I'm very keen on seeing this as well. Especially the ability to turn down sharpening and noise reduction (so that it can be done more elegantly in post).

If you are planning to go post, why not use the DNGs in the first place? They offer way more room for adjustment.
The main use I peronally got from the modded GCAM on my Pixel 3, was to get better JPEGs out of the box that retain the level of detail and natural sharpness off the DNGs. I so hope to be able to do this for my 6 soon. The DNGs are AWESOME, but the JPEGs are just weak.

I experimented a bit (since the new P6 GCam is oversaturating/HDR-ing the s*it out of every picture), and people had some discussion about this in the P6 Dev group - summary: Nope, previous mods/versions don't work properly, just sideloading them doesn't give good results.
We'll have to wait for "decent" custom GCam mods that are tuned for the P6. As far as I know, there are none (yet).

Well, by "post" I sometimes just mean sharpening a bit in Snapseed or Instagram; and adjusting levels. I like to set the jpegs to be slightly soft, with a bit more noise than most find acceptable, and with lower contrast. Frankly, once I had the modded GCam set up correctly, the 3XL did a great job with the rest of the parameters. You have to do a *lot* of work on a DNG just to bring it up to the level of Pixel's computational processing (once you've dialled down the overprocessing). After which, yeah, you have a 16-bit image with much more latitude, but that's not generally how I use my phone.
I try to do critical work with larger cameras. And on anything larger than a phone, I never shoot jpegs — only raw. Although even that may change if the big camera makers start getting serious about computational photography; Olympus is making noises in that direction. I'm old school, when it comes to working with unprocessed files, but there's a lot to be said for relying on the latest cameras' computational wizardry.
Anyway, I sense that we basically agree here.
Hmm ... I find, that mostly dialing down lighting and highlights as well as pushing saturation and vibrancy by about 10-20 in Lightroom mostly brings Pixel DNGs to a reasonable base, where editing them is not more work than touching up the JPEGs - albeit with much more latitude for edits. But I get, that everyone has their own workflow and baselines.
I just am glad, that we have these possibilities at all

Glad you found it. If you set your camera app to also take the RAW files, you can find them in the pictures -> RAW folder on your phone. Try it, it really is worth it. They look not that nice at the beginning. But turn down lighting and highlights a bit, push up saturation and vibrancy a notch and you will see, that the details are WAY better.
Free tools to do that on your device are Snapseed and Lightroom.
This mod works pretty good with p6p:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-MWP/
in Mod Settings -> Developer Settings : untick "segmenter_use_darwinn_tpu_delegate" to avoid app crash whenever you shoot a face.
out of this small but fixable bug, with this mods default settings, there are a lot more details vs the stock google camera app.
As always, more details = a bit more noise.
But noise is not a big problem when it's controlled, especially if you make prints.
The xhdr processing in settings increase the dynamic range further too.
Everything can be adjusted in the settings, this mod deserve to be known.
All of you concerned about the over-processing issue, please weigh in here, so that Google can see our complaints: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/208860802
The more people who post, the more likely the complaint will be noticed. (I posted this on similar threads. Apologies if this looks like spam — it's strategic.)

Question Modded GCam?

I want the ability to increase exposure times in astro mode, also want manual controls for shutter time etc in other spots.
I've looked and haven't found one that works perfectly with the Pixel 6 Pro. Has anyone found a good modded GCam yet??
I am using MWP gcam 8.3.253: it works rather well on the P6 pro (all lenses) and offers some manual tweaking (including for astro). It is still a beta version.
I'm not sure how this works, but will it be possible to have a mod that retains the precise version of GCam that's on the Pixel 6 Pro, but simply adds functionality? Eg. the ability to alter sharpness and noise settings? Or is it necessary that the mod replace the entire thing with a new version?
Oh, and would this require rooting the phone?

I only find here the 8.3.252 Version, not .353. Please share a link. Would be nice
Sorry: this is in fact : Gcam_8.3.252_V1b_MWP.apk (MWP, 2021-10-02, pixel)
(not 253: my mistake)
Thank you.
Working on my P6 Pro.
I just can't find a setting for 100% jpeg Quality.
This version brings back the AE/AF lock function (padlock icon) !!!
I use it a lot to keep the exposure consistent between frame to make large panoramas in Photoshop.
selfie cam not working properly in the modded one, and if you take 20x zoom is a lot worse with more noise than the stock 8.4.
i feel DR is worse too in the modded one
