If You want bleeding Edge Builds alias Nightlies, just watch the Video for Beginners, or for the more advanced Users:
Decompress the Master Branch ZIP, Compress the Files inside the "gapps" folder to a ZIP and keep the Configs Folder where it is.
Go back to the Directory which contains META-INF and the other Files and compress the META-INF Folder to a ZIP.
The ZIP should include the META-INF Folder as Root Directory. If this is the Case can the ZIP be flashed!

Possible that it's unsupported since it's unofficial. Do You waited some time? Format Data could also help after installing ROM and GApps and before installing Magisk and the Module. Havoc works just fine here... Would be nice to hear again from You!

Miu

When a update comes out, only is a dirty flash? no need to make wipes?

Correct, another benefit over my last Patches. The next Update requires a deinstall with the actual Zip since I'm still translating from My last Patch and some rests are actually present in the actual Patch like the Module Prop which says FFUHD 8.0 (Last Patch before XASP). But after that can You just update without trouble!
I'm btw. the Maintainer for the Mix 2 besides doing the main Patch. If You face any Issues feel free to call Me on this Thread. I have also a Hangouts Group since some Years which will be soon added to the Patch, Threads, GitHub and the Website. It's easy to reach over the Web (Gmail or Hangouts Websites) or the App which will be also included next (As Support App since most People are using a Google Acc.).
Best Regards,
Miu

Extremely sorry for this Noob Question. But ...
What is this ??? I.e it's use, what does it do ???
Sorry but can you please explain about it ?

In simple words... It does configure and optimize what the Most OEMs and AOSP ROMs don't do. They only Care about the UI and useless Gimmicks while XASP goes under the Hood. Better Audio Quality (In and Output), 4K Resolution Playback, HDR Playback Support, Battery calibration, Rendering optimizations (ui and Apps), responsiveness in all conditions (Apps Speeds, Multitasking), UI function unlocks (Display Rotation, Serial Number visible in Settings etc.). The list is endless. You need to expierence it before You think i'm talking BS

So we cant use this on stock MIUI 10?

You can, but it's made for Android 9 and we are running 8.0.0 not even 8.1. So Problems may happen and i can't solve them without breaking the Android 9 Support...

So MIUI 10 is based on 8.0.0 ,there shouldnt be any problems?

I flashed this on POSP (9.0) and it booted. I did remove the many APKs from the zip, but it still seemed to work. It might have been placebo but it did seem a tad smoother.
MintyB said:
But it's also broken charging. Fast charging is broken. I left it on charge for 30 minutes and it charged -1%. It seems to be limited to 100-120mAh according to Ampere. Setting Magisk to Core Only mode also doesn't fix this, so I've had to revert to a backup as removing via magisk + core only mode were still limited to the low charge level. If this is a systemless mod, why has it affected my system after disabling it ?

So ignore the above, it was just a coincidence at after flashing the mod, my charger/cable decided that it was going to report as 100mAh max. Nothing to do with the mod, so I'll do some further testing

I can really recommend You UGreen Cables and Chargers. I bought some for My GF with QuickCharge and USB 3 and they are really durable, have great quality and they are cheap. I ordered directly from the Seller and got My Stuff pretty fast from China. I think they are even beyond the most Premium flagship Chargers and Cables...
But OT, thanks for Your Feedback. Can't wait for more! And You are maybe willed to check out GitHub to get Nighlies!? I changed a lot of stuff since i have My Mix 2 (Almost a Week or so) and till the next Monthly Release will be added a lot that's maybe worth a flash...
Bluetooth Audio and GMail Sync is still broken but i cleaned out some stuff and added a lot already. The Issues will be fixed till the Weekend (Hopefully).

Ah !!! Please don't take it wrong !! i'm really new to this stuff as i'm one of those who developed (i.e i did it two years ago) custom roms for devices.
Btw , what you said sounds really interesting !! I would love to assist you in this project. But, as i mentioned, i left it all two years ago, and need some guidance to restart the whole process. What do you think about it ?? ( it won't take much time to get back on track ).

I'll have a look at those chargers, I think I must have just knocked the cable/charger, it's a bit weird.
I flashed the github release yesterday since that was the most visible (I honestly couldn't find any other release, I've only just now been able to find it) and I haven't noticed any issues with GMail sync or the like. Battery usage seems a little lower than pre-flash, but that's not totally unusual.
Looking forward to see what other changes you make, keep up the good work :good:

It's all fine, i know that Questions already
I'm looking for since Years for someone who helps Me with AOSP (Making a own ROM based on AOSP (Actually a CAF GSI with own Vendors)) since People aren't taking My Work serious at all. I want to make a lot of Things different like with My Patches. If You're willed to help Me to realize My Visions feel free to PM Me!

Dangerous stuff!
Glad it works well for You. I'm actually uploading a experimental Set which breaks a lot of stuff but also adds a ton of things. Feel free to test it, it's always good to get feedback from other Devices/Systems. :highfive:

Doesn't work with RR. Somebody mentioned that it didn't work on AEX either. So maybe it's something specific to AndyYan' s build since he's the only one building these specific ROMs for Chiron. Or maybe what trees his builds are based on. But I have absolutely no clue about it. Maybe worth a look for ya...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Information
These are the monthly releases of CM with some modifications and touch ups that will be listed below, They are meant for users who want a stable ROM without the need to flash nightly releases and risking a Nandroid, anyone who has enjoyed the stability of my Google Edition ROM should give this a go
all builds have their core features tested (Camera, bluetooth, bluetooth audio, tethering, USB audio, Data, Voice calls etc), I also adb debug each release and look for any redflags, I then set up the phone and daily drive it with a few of my testers and once I deem the release stable it will be posted here.
Note: The CM camera works but it's not the best, SnapCam HDR (Paid app) from the market is much more stable and has a ton more features (these developers only focus on the 4.4 open source camera and making it better), I highly suggest doing what I do and removing the stock Camera and Gallery and using this awesome app which also includes a gallery with more features, myself and ktoonsez swear by it. The stock files are found in system/app.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features
-CM Stable branch based
-Updated and debloated gapps
- No rom branding - I don't flash my name around in the settings menu anywhere, keeping it stock AOSP.
-Stock CM kernel
-Nova launcher
-Improved CM Auto brightness values (Stock is way to Dim)
-Android L boot animation
-adb shell fixes
-Ext SD permissions added in platform
-Zip aligned
-No extra bloat
-Settings menu revamped and more organized
-Teleservice event notification options removed as they are not working
-Tested by an established developer and solid testers before release goes live to the public
-Enjoy!!

-edited another string in settings>security
-not much else, last build as I think this is way more stable then any other CM build out there.
*dirty flash if coming from previous release is fine, just wipe caches first, no need to flash gapps unless full wiping*
08/05/2014 stable 2
-Added Media_RW permissions to the permissions platform to add support for many third party apps (CM has yet to address this)
-CM OTA disabled
-Removed Calendar, grab it from the market so you can get updates via google
-Edited a few strings in English US and English GB

06/01/2014
I was VERY happy with how 5/31/2014 ran on my phone but noticed a few commits merged last night that were authored by bossman Cyanogen himself, so here is your changelog. I feel like the foundations of this ROM are set now which I knew would take a few builds
so if all goes well with this, I will start bi-weekly releases because I'm extremely sick of full wiping/testing/compiling, I just wanna use my phone as a phone!!
stagefright: yield callbackDispatcher to writer only for video
libstagefright: Fix to handle EAGAIN error on first read to source
audio: mute duration at the beginning of recording
Bluetooth: Fix for device gets stuck in pairing
Bluetooth: turn on lcd during Connection
camera: Disable extra HDR frame on QCOM_HARDWARE - HDR fix for third party apps
appops: Fix WIFI_SCAN AppOp permission index
nxp: Include support declaration for Mifare tags
Everything but the app ops commit was merged into the stable branch of CM 11, these were necessary changed to warrant an update
Enjoy!

Settings: Allow access for external apps to launch ThemeSettings Fragment directly
Mms: Clear notifications and mark messages read in certain situations
Calculator updated with many new features

Revert "Remove smiley support"
Revert "idmap: Don't log spam "CREATING STRING CACHE"
idmap: reduce CREATING STRING CACHE verbosity
Merged latest cLock widget
Added Stock MMS back in the build as it's theme friendly
Made number picker dialog in MMS and Contacts a neutral gray so no theme will make the txt invisible
Option to show missed notification count in Interface>Statusbar now works for Email/Gmail
Included Apollo in the build to play nice with lockscreen targets, feel free to remove yourself
Removed open music app on headset connect, does not work on most music apps including poweramp
Updated kernel, Init binary in the ramdisk is now the latest from CM
05/30/2014
Settings: Disable Battery status preference on ModLock.
Fix wallpapers not applying in full screen

more that I'm probably forgetting but this is the important stuff

SystemUI: Make wifi combo margin themable
wm: Underp menu key release processing (doesn't effect Titanium so don't ask, thats a TB bug)
Fix circle battery opaqueness for the low battery color
Reduce memory leaks by removing all views.
CMAccount: fix setup wizard crash
Themes: Add read/write permissions - 2 commits
Fix broken tags
Remove Status bar notification count checkbox preference <--- main reason for this update, I don't like broken toggles in my settings menus, no idea why CM just leaves them in there, it's rather annoying when there is ZERO java controlling them
every other commit is super minor but we are fully synced up to date with CM
05/26/2014
A2DP: Stop spamming log with buffer size
Make KeyguardMultiUserAvater fully themable
CMAccount: Remove "or" between account buttons

enjoy!
Thanks for this again Dan.
Just to let everyone know, Dan's CM rom is an absolute keeper. Been on his GE rom for many months now which has been brilliant, and i never thought i would come off it until i tried this rom.
Been on it for a couple of days now as Dan was kind enough to give me a test, and all i can say is up to now it is totally faultless! I don't even need to install Xposed/gb any more as this does pretty much everything you will ever need as standard.
Great work mate, and many thanks again

s-view cover calls are proprietary code from Samsung and will only work on touchwiz at the moment, I'm waiting to see if they implement it into 4.4.3 GE because they gave it the shaft in 4.4.2.
I too have been using your google rom for ages, time for a change :good:
ok, thanks.
in which case, would including this app within the rom run any differently than if i just install is the normal way?
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.durka.hallmonitor
have heard great reviews about your roms, as i've been looking for a fairly plain/clean rom that's totally bug free and good to go for my daily driver, but most things i've tried have had call issues or other sound bugs and random reboots. your rom's seem pretty stable by all accounts, but i really want s-view cover to work.
the hall monitor app is the best i;ve tried, but sometimes still a bit glitchy, so just wondered if it's any different including it in a rom compared to installing the apk (and then maybe using TB to convert to system app or soemthing like that?)

It's a later revision of 4.4.2, KVT49L. It also doesn't need gravitybox for the goodies, Everything works well, battery is good and it's just as fast. try for yourself mate, I'm enjoying it but that doesn't mean I plan to abandon my GPE ROM, It's just done it's development cycle and I'm waiting for 4.4.3 to do any further work on it. (next decade or century lol)
Some people might prefer google play edition because they want just a vanilla android experience with no extra features, as for this ROM nothing is reported broken, I'm getting better bluetooth performance as well! Camera is looking good, I have no problems with Instagram camera either using both front and back for video and pictures, it seems more and more apps are supporting open source drivers!
So yeah, the choice is yours mate, try it out and if you like it, stick with it, if not just use my GPE, you don't have to worry about it because I'll be supporting both for as long as I have this device (I don't ever plan on selling it if I get another phone, you will probably leave the S4 before I do) either way, I have ROM that makes my userbase happy so its down to whichever you prefer, userbase happy = Dan and ktoonsez happy

it performs very well mate, I'll need to go through a few cycles to know for sure but it's definitely not worse, it also depends on how you setup your kernel settings in ktweaker and what apps you use, some apps ppl need push notifcations wakelock in the background, the more of these you have the faster you will drain, but to answer the question in more detail, if you were to flash this and my GPE on 2 S4's and not install ANYTHING and keep both phones clean with no apps, I'm sure you will see very comparable results, Ktoonsez has been using CM for ages and he get's like 3 days on a single charge if not more... he's OCD with battery life

have heard great reviews about your roms, as i've been looking for a fairly plain/clean rom that's totally bug free and good to go for my daily driver, but most things i've tried have had call issues or other sound bugs and random reboots. your rom's seem pretty stable by all accounts, but i really want s-view cover to work.
the hall monitor app is the best i;ve tried, but sometimes still a bit glitchy, so just wondered if it's any different including it in a rom compared to installing the apk (and then maybe using TB to convert to system app or soemthing like that?)

will perform the same I'd imagine, User app just needs you to confirm permissions, System app automatically approves the permissions, System app might be better for something always running in the background however

Hey guys,
will do a short introduction here due that we have especially on the One plus one a lot android newcomer. 3 weeks ago we got contacted by One plus if we want to be a recognized ROM for the 1+1. Of course it is a pleasure to support this awesome phone. So they send us the device and we worked on it the last 2 weeks.
Short note to SlimRoms as a whole....we are an AOSP based ROM. We are one of the rare roms which still develop a lot themselves. We have a user base around 1 million ppl. A lot in the custom rom scene already know and used a lot of our features on SlimKat as well on other roms. Even you guys on the CM11S stock firmware are already using 2 slim features (Privacy Guard Manager and forward/reverse lookup on the dialer and some other minor things). As well we use features from CM. Thats open source....we share our work and try to improve the things together. That being said, our main aim (and we are known) is to be as stable as possible. We have a clear vision of how our custom rom should be....and with a lot fun we try to achieve it to make us and a lot other ppl happy. We are always open for new suggestiongs or features....just raise them up and we can discuss them and see what we can do with it. But we are not a rom which kangs simply things from others. We basically want to have original ideas and with the ideas and the feedback of our users we will develop it then. So please do not start to we want to have this and that feature from this and that ROM.
SlimKat is in a lot parts pretty different then CM. Some features we do not have.....other features CM does not have. We have just two different ideas of an custom android OS. Both is good and fantastic....just different And this counts of course for every other original development rom like PA, Omni or AOKP.
Aside the original features mentioned in the first post....we have some other original features nowadays: SlimRecents, SlimPie, Slim heads up, Shake events, Chamber of Secret and a lot lot more.
A small word to myself...I am one of the main developers in SlimRoms and leading the development team we have. I like to have OT in my threads as well serious deep discussons about development (check the SlimKat hammerhead thread on xda....thats for me the perfect thread )
And now a last word to SlimKat
1. Read the above linked FAQ...as I said we are different....and this FAQ answers a lot questions. Especially the question about our lower default DPI (which can be changed of course) or that root is disabled by default.
2. Use and please only use our gapps (to get the google gapps like on stock) with SlimKat. On the website we have stable addons and beta addons (which are always on the bleeding edge). Basically both are stable.....so use the latest beta gapps.
3. Which leads me to the release schedule we do. We have every week a weekly. This are builds from latest source automatically builded. They can contain minor bugs but are known to be as stable as the stable build. Every 4-5 weeks we release a stable build for all supported devices. The difference is that they go to internal testing for some time so that our huge tester crew can give the OK that this build can be called as stable.
4. If you get a bug....please refer to the Bugreport section on the website. There it is exactly explained how to report a bug and how to do a bugreport. We have tools which will help you in this case. After that just report this on one of our official channels. We have a team off ppl who will either help you or recognize it as a bug and will throw it into our internal bug tracker.
5. Of course this device is pretty new.....slims code is in some parts pretty different to CM's....so I needed to adapt and change some stuff on CM's device tree to have it working with our source code. That beeing said the first build may have bugs we did not saw till now. We tested deeply everything and it seems to be all perfect...but that does not mean we know every device specific problem which may exist. Especially due that our tester team for bacon is at the moment not that big. But I hope that can change pretty fast
6. Which leads me to the known bugs: Till now only thing we know is that the mic level is a bit low on BT calls and with speaker phone. Headphones and normal phone mic level is completely ok.
7. Kernel....slim comes on most phones with an own kernel based on the stock kernel. Same here on bacon. Basic stuff I did this week on it. So give it a run and do not flash directly another one
8. And last one.....have fun....hoping for a nice thread here....as I said please always read the stuff on the website...FAQ, install instructions, change log etc etc etc
Thanks for your attention and lets slim up our bacon,
Lars
And third post for actual notes:
1. Currently I recommend Philz recovery. Seems to be the best working at the moment for the bacon
2. Do not forget to read the install instructions
:victory: Glad to see this here. Thanks!
Glad to see slim Kat, the more roms the merrier.

Well that is not so easy to answer....basically we have 3 parts
The base which is pure aosp and has nothing in common with cm.
Then there are hardware related repos. Due that opo is a qcom device it uses heavily caf based hardware repos (BTW aosp is doing this as well). But for opo we need to have some things which are ahead of current aosp source. Of course all ROMs share more or less the same caf code on this part.
Well and you have the device trees and kernel. Like on every device we try to use what the manufacture gives us. Just this time it is CM. But we are on the above mentioned hardware trees on some parts very different. Good example is the BT stack. We use for "caf" devices a completely other then cm which is more near to the aosp BT stack. Of course I needed to adapt this and changed the device trees accordingly. Other example is msim which we do not support at all. Needed to remove the tights to it and replace eg the location provider with the aosp one....etc etc.
To start to bring up a device tree from ground up would not make any sense....it is just double work and at the end you have the same. On Google devices eg we do not do this as well. We use what we get and then we start to change it for our needs and improve it. When you check SlimROMs github for the opo device trees you see that I changed quiet a lot already. Thing which still needs work is the kernel.
You can see here what is done till now:
https://github.com/SlimRoms/device_oneplus_bacon/commits/kk4.4
https://github.com/SlimRoms/device_oppo_msm8974-common/commits/kk4.4
https://github.com/SlimRoms/device_oppo_common/commits/kk4.4
And kernel which got most changes (4 or 5 pages of commits and fixes)
https://github.com/SlimRoms/kernel_oneplus_msm8974/commits/kk4.4
But yeah we will still work on the device tree and especially kernel. Want to change some things still.
Hope that answered your question

well I can answer it short.....no we do not track 50%-80% of CM repos like most other roms
BTW what I love most on this device is really the battery life.
Here from last 7h and still 50% left ... but without sim today and permanent wifi (with sim and full use I get 24h uptime and 7h SOT without a problem)

Honestly no idea due that I did not test it.
But the gallery is an app you can get on the play store...so no reason that it should not work.
Camera on opo does not have any real special tights into the framework which the other devices do not use as well....I assume it will work.
And audioFX absolutely no idea.

Helping one another is also encouraged! Please be respectful and you will always be treated the same way, we are all here for a good experience."
About:
The Pure Nexus Project aims to bring stability and features to your Nexus device, while keeping Google's vision in line and not straying too far away from that. If you are looking for a stable ROM with true tested features and minimal bugs, then this is the place to be.
Keep in mind, this is an unofficial build, all credit to PureNexus team and scanno + khaon for their hard work
Working:
* Display
* Wifi
* BT
* Audio (including mic)
* Vibrate
* youtube
* Selinux is enforced
* overclocking + other features (see khaon kernel for the full list)
* Storage
Etc
Not Working:
* Camera: so this is the deal, camera isn't working, I see cm is bringing up manta and perhaps there's a chance that they may fix camera but right now the exynos framework of the camera keeps crashing, draining a ton of battery and keeping the CPU awake. Also some apps, mainly youtube don't work because of it. So I have disabled the camera all together and now youtube works. I don't think its as important as camera phones since its a pretty crappy camera anyway but if its fixed ill add it.
* DRM blobs broken
* Small delay in click sounds in UI
* you tell me if anything else is broken
Instructions:
1. Wipe everything
2. Flash rom

Flashed fine, bootup took a few minutes as usual. Not a fan of the default tablet Navbar though, tried editing it through the Navbar tuner but can't get it looking like it does in marshmallow/lollipop.
Everything feels really smooth. This might just give new life to my Nexus! :good:
EDIT: Nevermind, got it looking like I wanted too. Added a few spacers.

Ya the default navbar is the new navbar, google decided that was better for some reason... not a fan either
My nexus seems to be draining battery incredibly quickly while charging when using this rom. The only apps I have installed are youtube, greenify and adaway. (Brightness is on minimum)
Apart from that, it runs great! Multitasking is incredibly smooth, everything just feels faster.

Thanks for the tip! I think its best I revert this for now... since it really is annoying, maybe i'll bring it back if there is a demand for it on android 7.1
I'll upload a build later since there are a couple more selinux denial I addressed that help stability

Not sure what you mean.. in any case I had no idea, this version has youtube, selinux and uses khaon's kernel updated by me.
You can feel free to keep updating it and folks who want the basic omni kernel can use yours. just an idea
@voidz777 @sooti
The community is about helping each other. I am happy to see that the start I made with android 7 on manta means that other people are using that base to go further. @sooti made already changes that I might cherry pick into omni (selinux) to enable enforced selinux.
The more people work on the same device, the more chances that everything will work.
So help each other

There appears to be a weird bug where played media zooms into the top left corner and stays there. I'm not really sure how to explain it. It happens in both YouTube and Crunchyroll so I assume the same problem happens with all played video. I'll try and add some photos tomorrow as its quite late where I am.
EDIT:
Here's the best I could explain it:
http://imgur.com/a/awBBp
Google doesn't come up with anything, and the same problem occurs after a reinstall of the rom.

Hmmm... no idea but i'm uploading a new build that addresses more selinux denials, your issue could be caused by them... try that build, if it still happens, attache the logcat or i can't help
also i'm working on building 7.1 for you all
EDIT: i see the issue, its when we use 1440p... i think i can fix it
EDIT2: Temp fix for the issue: if you see the issue, press home then back to youtube, it will be corrected. for some reason when we raise the resolution the aspect ratio is not fixed, maybe @scanno has an idea how to fix this? in any case ill keep an eye out for solutions
Just wanted to see thank you for making this... works amazingly well Only issue i have noticed is that it doesn't detect headphones plugged in but i am sure you already knew that.. thanks again

Hi,
I'm having trouble with the AOSP keyboard. Seems to crash just as I boot up. No keyboard, so no Wi-Fi and hence no alternate.
I'm not sure if this is an isolated issue, but will flash again.
Thanks for your hard with.
Hi! Thank you! ROM works very well!
I have noticed is that batterey percent switch does not work. The percentage of the battery charge is not displayed at the taskbar.
@sooti
Thanks a lot for this smooth rom, great job!
Flashed latest 10/22 with open gapps nano and I don't have any problems with youtube - works very well for me. I don't miss the camera as I don't take pictures with a tablet. Also percentage inside battery icon are shown for me in statusbar. :good:
The only niggle for me is audio focus...when unplugging the headphone the focus won't change back to speakers - a reboot fixes it.
Looking forward to your 7.1 build.

Is the link in the OP still the latest build? Since you said yesterday you were uploading a new build, i was expecting something with a later date than 10/22 on the linked page.

For your information:
LineageOS 14.1 is a distribution of Android 7.1.2 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
What is different?
The builds provided in this thread are based on the previously mentioned LineageOS, all credit for such work belongs entirely to the LineageOS team.
There are four differences betweet this build and the official one:
1 - Debloated, a lot of the apps bundled by default on LineageOS were disabled on build time. This reduces the .zip file in around 25MB and saves some more on your userdata partition since no dalvik cache is generated for those apps.
I only left the very few core apps required to be able to use all the hardware on your phone. This is the list of stuff I removed:
/system/app/BasicDreams *Screensaver*
/system/app/BookmarkProvider
/system/app/CtsShimPrebuilt *Used for certain software upgrade scenarios*
/system/app/Development *Certain tools for app developers*
/system/app/EasterEgg *The easter egg that corresponds to Nougat*
/system/app/Eleven *Music player*
/system/app/Email *Email client (Gmail will still work)*
/system/app/Exchange2 *Used to connect to certain email accounts*
/system/app/FMRadio
/system/app/Gallery2 *Picture gallery*
/system/app/HTMLViewer
/system/app/Jelly *Web Browser*
/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker *Used to apply Live Wallpapers*
/system/app/PhotoTable *Screensaver*
/system/app/PicoTts *AOSP text-to-speech service*
/system/app/Stk *Sim Toolkit*
/system/app/Terminal *Terminal emulator*
/system/app/TimeService *Proprietary app found in stock rom, makes no difference in my experience*
/system/app/WallpaperBackup
/system/priv-app/AudioFX *Modifies the behavious of the sound*
/system/priv-app(CMActions *Includes some gestures*
/system/priv-app/CMAudioService
/system/priv-app/CMUpdater *Notifies you of the official LineageOS updates*
/system/priv-app/CtsShimPrivPrebuilt *Used for certain software upgrade scenarios*
/system/priv-app/LiveLockScreenService
/system/priv-app/Recorder *To record audio and video*
/system/priv-app/WeatherManagerService
/system/priv-app/WeatherProvider
/system/priv-app/qcrilmsgtunnel *Proprietary qcom dialer app found in stock rom, makes no difference in my experience*
2 - Changed DPI from 480 to 400. By default build.prop sets UI density to 480 (maybe to give it a more phone-like feeling rather than a tablet, but the our screen has a real density of 400 and working at that settings feels amazing.
3 - Undervolted kernel, this patch is applied on many of the kernels avalaible for Moto X Play, reduces heat generated from the phone.
4 - Enabled doze mode even if Google Play Services are not avalaible and regardless of motion sensor reports. LineageOS team intentionally disabled doze mode if there's no possible tickle to wake up the phone in case of notifications. This indeed only affected users not running Google's proprietary framework.
If you expect this ROM to increase the performance because is debloated I feel like you are going to get mostly placebo. The patches applied on this build were stuff I made for myself in order to keep my phone clean of bloat I don't need, and stuff I have preferred third party alternatives to. In general it's meant to get more freedom/control on what is installed in my phone. The result of this was nice so I wanted to share it with anyone willing to try it.
Hopefully I'll be updating the builds once a month after every major security update happens.

I don't know if official LineageOS supports or not it but it will be the same on this builds since I didn't changed anything that could fix/break it.
Hi #Eskuero
Thanks for building this ROM. This is exactly what I was looking for and I am really impressed with the low heating and extended battery life(when lying idle).
I have been using your ROM for past two days and I loved the font resolution and other tweaks (like removal of default apps) that you have done with this ROM. Please don't abandon this project, I really really love this ROM.
Once in a while their is a hang with an app.... for me it was Amazon prime video.... rest everything worked perfectly fine.
Question?
Exactly which kernel you used it for this ROM.
Best Regards

Hi!
In fact I just build the ROM again to include all upstream changes and a few dirty but cool hacks by myself so expect it to be uploaded in a few hours. I plan to update the ROM at least once a month when the security patches are published so don't worry.
I used the same default kernel that comes with LineageOS, all I did was to apply the undervolting patch that other kernels such as squid's or Optimus already feature.
Thanks a lot for your words, they mean a lot to me.
I pushed a new build, this one, the older, and probably the next ones will appear on Android File Host and it looks better than Mediafire.
New changes in 20170808 in comparisson with the old 20170709 build:
- Applied all upstream changes from LineageOS
- Updated to August security patch
- Removed CMActions which is not needed for basic functionality (s just responsible for certain system-wide gestures).
- Force the phone to go into deep doze mode regardless of our lack of motion sensor *Read more about the implications at the end of the post*
You can get the new build from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=205174
Notice that both are uploaded today, but one is the old build from last month and the other one is the new. Check the name for the date to make sure you get the correct one.
About Doze mode:
I hardcoded in an ugly but effective way the doze checks in framework to always ignore sensor reports and let the phone go into deep doze.
Until now we only had working light doze, also known as doze on the go, by default this mode kicks in after five minutes with the screen off and applies network and jobs restrictions even when you're carrying your phone in your pocket.
On the other side deep doze applies restrictions on alarms and wakelocks as well, thus saving a lot more of juice, but only gets applied if the phone has been stationary for 30 minutes. The only way the phone could know about this is by using a motion sensor that our X Plays sadly lacks of. So I simply made the system ignore the lack of this and continue behaving as it was there.
This is the same that some apps like Naptime and ForceDoze do but integrated in the system in a bulletproof way.
I recommend tweaking the Doze Settings with this Doze Settings Editor if you want your phone to go sooner or later into doze mode. GeraldRudi profile make the phone to go directly into deep doze (without going first through light doze) after 30 seconds of screen off.
Hi Eskuero,
Thanks for the new build. Everything is working perfectly fine with this build except the moto display. Phone doesn't wakes up on movement or by wave.

Yeah I'll try to update at least everytime the security patches are released. This is between the first and 10th day of every month.

System partition is always protected from editing unless you have rooted the ROM and you use a file explorer that supports root.
The other option is to copy the .apk inside recovery

Flashing over the old version should be safe but I myself never got to do that because I test several different stuff so I like to refresh the ROM once a month to make sure nothing stays broken.

If the official builds of LineageOS works for you on double sim versions this ones should work as well. But I can't confirme it myself because I don't own a device to test that.

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag aim towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small project we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). After having a couple of iterations, we still intend to stick to our roots, and keep refining what we have. With Android 12, Stag would still be aiming at an elegantly beautiful close to stock experience, that satisfies just the features and customisations you'd crave for (nothing more, nothing less), at the same time being blazing fast and silky smooth. You'll have to try it to believe it .

Changelog - 08/09/2022
Hey everyone, this update took a bit longer. I have been super busy with life. I'll keep changelog this time short and concise.
1. OOS Cam is finally here, everything works.
2. A Resolution changer (in Horns > System), use it for saving battery when needed, It is a work in progress feature and hence fingerprint is unusable when you change resolution.
3. Build is based on August Patch
4. Added volte icon
5. And some stability fixes .
Hope you enjoy this release, this will be the final A12 release for OP9 series, see you in A13
Changelog - 20/07/2022
Hola, We're here quicker then before. This stag build is a simple elegant build that has some beautiful additions. Firstly the build is updated to July Security Patch. Up to date AF.
I'll directly jump on to changelog:
1. Now you have multiple options in alert slider, it's a waste just using alert slider for silent, sound and vibrate. Let's use it for a lot more than that. We call it the Awesome Alert Slider.
2. Added option for higher touch sampling rate.
3. We have an OOS style clear all icon in notifications, it's boring to see clear all text.
4. Now you can flaunt android 12L in your version hehe.
5. We have a screen off fod now, you can use fingerprint when screen is off. You can find the option in Settings > System > Gestures.
6. And many crashes fixed internally )
Changelog - 23/06/2022
Guys this is a small hot fix build that ensures that sensors are fixed. The older update had a bug due to which all sensors stopped working
Changelog - 21/06/2022 - Sensors Broken
Hiya, This time the changelog might turn out pretty long, so yup stay tuned. Before anything else, Yes I realise the time between updates is kinda long, honestly I really try had to get it to you guys much sooner, but this is the best I can do. Another factor that comes in is, every time I add a new feature or fix a bug, I feel like there's something else that can be better, and I go on to fix/work on that, this cycle keeps happening because come on guys, I want to ship out nothing but the absolute best for you guys to use.
And this time with the OOS 12 base, a lot of things broke, and I had to work on fixing things from around up, so without further ado I'll jump right into the changelog. As always, will start with what's bad
Assuming not everyone will read through, please follow the install instructions carefully, as mentioned in OP. else you might end up in brick
So there are two known bugs which I really couldn't fix at this point:
1. Low mic volume in recording apps, calls are perfectly fine (some reported that if you turn on speaker in call once after every reboot, the mic seemingly becomes better)
2. Speaker starts crackling in specific audio (only on max volume) otherwise it's absolutely fine as long as you don't hit the absolulte max.
Ok that aside, now let's get into the good news, the juicy part :
Device Specific:
1. Ok the biggest change, Now the builds are going to be OOS 12 based, partly the reason why there was an even bigger delay, but man o man, the build just flies, you'll forget using any other OS.
2. Biggest challenge was to get the haptics right, the vibrations you feel when you touch your keyboard, or the the haptics when there's a notification, OOS 12 base created a huge mess with them but guess what, you'll not have to worry about them because the haptics are much much better than ever, you'll just fall in love with how your phone vibes (literally hehe).
3. On a few requests, I've decided not to include Gcam in this build, whoever wants are free to install whichever version you want to go with .
4. Verizon sims should finally work, Had multiple tests this time so you should have it working for sure, here's to everyone waiting with a Verizon sim.
5. And everything else that yo love and remember from previous version exactly as they were, if not better
Rom Side:
So here's a lot more magic this time, about time I felt the need of a few essential and good to have feature additions without in the slightest compromising how the usability feels.
1. We now have a working GameSpace dashboard, like for every gaming enthusiasts, finally you can game with the full power without any disturbance of notification.
2. Again for all the gamers out there, we have added some props to allow a game to unlock the maximum FPS possible, for more info:
Spoiler: Click Here
* Free Fire - Spoof Asus ROG Phone 1 will unlock 90 FPS
* COD Mobile - Spoof Xperia 5 || will unlock 120 FPS (only on multiplayer mode)
* PUBG Mobile - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
* Wild Rift - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 120 FPS
* Cyber Hunter - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
* Fortnite - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
3. For apps builds, now we ship a modded Pixel Launcher (credits: source). Gone is the pain of using a half baked custom icons. This is a much more optimised pixel launcher with a lot more goodies (like upto 6x9 grid in launcher)
4. A small aesthetic change, re arranged the layout of qs tiles, gone are the tiles which you rarely used and a rather depreciated wifi/mobile data tile. Now we have separate tiles for mobile data and wifi just like we remember and love from Android 11, and that's what is default.
5. Ohh and on the note of QS tiles, Hasn't it been annoying when you long tap on wifi just to be able to quickly connect but you are having to change the screen, now a small panel pops up as an overlay on the existing screen allowing you to work without leaving whatever you were doing.
6. A proper lock screen charging info, Instead of the boring wrong display, the estimate and wattage have now been fixed, and as multiple people questioned, yes Warp Charging does work .
7. And a highly requested feature (and I can see why), long press power button to turn on torch. You ask and thee shall receive, this build comes with the said feature.
8. Now we allow you to have a haptic feedback on QS tiles, when you tap on that, you know want that, don't you.
9. Some over the hood source changes, that'll make scrolling and animations go whoosh (faster and smoother), especially optimising the download and upload animations.
10. And a huge addition to feature list, Network traffic on status bar. For everyone who have been asking it is finally here.
11. Making life easier with this one, giving you an option to complete pull down the quick status bar either from left side or right side, depending on what you select. So you select, let's say right side, now if you pull down from left you'll have notifications. and if you pull down from right side you'll have the QS tiles. pretty handy right .
12. Added an Ambient music ticker, that'll flash new songs on ambient display, I personally love this, happy to finally be able to have it on stag .
13. Ok finally everything bugging with lock screen pin and pattern has been fixed, which allows to have scrambled pin layout back ).
14. Now directly delete a screenshot if you do not like it, directly from the preview when you take a new screenshot.
15. That's not all, now you can directly feed a screenshot into google lens, isn't that cool.
16. Added font customisation and a huge bunch of fonts, you'll absolutely love it. (We also have status bar, launcher icon customisations) you can find them in Horns > System.
17. Don't like watching '!' when mobile data is off ? worry not you can disable that now. see super thoughtful of me (just kidding)
18. If you are like me, you just want to watch the battery percentage on quick header and not something like "6 hours remaining", so like any sane person would do, I have added an option for you guys to be able to delete it.
Well that's all the changes for this update people....
oops spoke too soon, there's,more
19. Here's a little gesture touch, we now give you an option to turn of sleep either by double tapping on status bar or double tapping on Lock Screen. Use both or use neither upto you.
20. Wanna wake up your device using volume keys instead of power button. Just like shenron would say: "Your wish has been granted"
21. Ever seen a Samsung phone, Noticed their pop up notification (click here for reference), See how non intrusive and beautiful they look, don't be sad, you can have a very similar experience in stag, just go ahead and enable reticker from Horns. yay!!!
22. Ever see all the real estate in the status bar being wasted, the clock being so annoyed stuck beside camera, now you have the ability to customise it's location and the control that gives is amazing.
23. Made battery settings beautiful, added battery health info and capacity info so you also know what you have.
24. Added data usage panel.
25. Nav bar inversion, used to inverted back and recents layout, fear not when stag is here.
26. Smart auto-rotate, i.e. you rotate the phone by mistake when auto rotate is on, and phone just annoyingly rotates? not gonna happen that often anymore, phone will keep a track of your face and rotate only when it deems necessary based on orientation of your phone. (Will lead to higher battery consumption)
I could go on, but that's about most of it, there's still tiny under the hood improvements which aim at making stag ever better,
A huge change set this time, so I really am looking forward for you guys to try this build out, I really really wish you would love it and never want to leave ..
Happy Flashing
~Sic Parvis Magna~
Changelog - 10/04/2022
Hola guys long time no see, I know I promised monthly updates, but this one stretched far too long. The reasons include my college and android 12.1, which was a huge pain for me. But nevertheless here we are as stable as ever ).. Ok as always
Without further ado, I'll quickly list down the Changelog.
Bad news first:
1. We won't be having OOS camera anytime soon, Almost everything works except for rear normal photo, I need some help for fixing hence I am not including it in release builds. If anyone wants to try it out, feel free to pm me on telegram: @vjspranav.
Ok that was it, everything further just keeps getting better.
Device Specific
* Tweaked the position of alert slider UI to make it feel more natural.
* There was a small chance of sim not being detected on first boot, that has been fixed.
* Issues with Verizon have been fixed. A few devices report it as working, a few report it as broken, so you can probably just try it out and let me know.
* Wait must have been super annoying to see wrong charging info on Lock Screen, stuck at some 1hr 24 mins always. Now your phone works as it should have! Lock-screen charging info now shows correct estimates.
* One of the biggest things, we no longer spoof our whole device as pixel, It detects as a oneplus and that helps a great deal with refresh rate in a few apps. And guess what!?
CTS still successfully passes ).
* Added a bit of optimised charging support, although you can't control start stop percentage, your phone will still make sure to stop charging after a certain point. This will be adapted based on your usage.
* Finally for everyone not being able to flash gapps on pristine build, Now you can do so and much more, The issue has been fixed. You can flash any and every apps package, be it micro, mini, full or stock.
Rom
* Updated to Android 12.1 with April security patch, nothing but the latest and the best.
* Added back charging animation ripple removed as part of 12.1 by Google.
* Temporarily removed pocket lock as it is causing issues with device wake.
* Added quick unlock with pin, many have asked for it.
* Added option to enable always on display on charging only.
* Added options to customise fonts and styles of status bar.
* And a lot of under the hood changes thanks to both android 12.1 and also things we at stag do.
As always, stag is as good as you last remember it if not better. I really hope you enjoy the build, and keep showing the love!!.
Cheers
Changelog - 25/02/2022
Hello everyone, first of all, sorry for the delay of two months. I was super busy with life and had covid and college and stuff, secondly I am super happy and thrilled for the support everyone has been giving. I really hope you find this build and also the next exactly to your liking if not more .
Without further ado, I'll quickly list down the changelog.
Device Specific
* Firstly The clock being overlapped by camera cut out, padding issue has been fixed.
* On Lock Screen, you must've seen FP icon and charging info overlapping each other, this issue has also been fixed.
* You must've loved the new unlock animations of A12 right?, But I'm sure everyone felt, the power button location of animation is off, guess what we've got that fixed too!
* Ohh how could I forget, the dreaded ring issue, you won't have to face it anymore, every call you do will for sure have a ring giving you the peace of the call being connected and not having to face surprises.
* We Added OnePlus Specific Settings, That let you select Hyper Touch, Edge touch etc.
* Added Touch screen gestures, these are just love (we also support single tap for ambient display )
* Wake device on pick up, and a couple more ambient display options have been added.
* Build comes with a pre installed working GCam on gapps build.
* Wanted to share your battery to your friends? We have power share toggle added, you can wirelessly or through wire charge your friends phone or any chargeable device!
If you think those are good, wait till you see, what the ROM brings
Rom
* Updated to February patch.
* Ever wanted to look at your phone, and just wanted it to unlock, no sweat, stag has the long awaited face unlock support now.
* We have ota support now, all further builds can be downloaded and installed seamlessly over OTA.
* Added an idle battery manager, this helps in saving idle battery.
* Guess what ever wanted too listen to your class and YouTube, and wanted to decrease volume of your class/meeting only ? It's now possible, we have per app volume control, let your meeting run in silence and let the music begin!. (just kidding, we have the feature but don't miss out on classes )
* I believe there was an issue with no default notification or ringtone in the last build, worry not we got you covered!
* And remember that annoying screenshot sound ? I don't, because we don't have it anymore.
* And And, Live translate works, Complete the initial setup and update all apps, and you're all set.
* For all the enthusiasts, we have an amazing black theme, I know you are there and you are going to love it!
* You scared your phone gets unlocked in your pocket? Well just a toggle and your phone can be smart enough to not unlock as long as it's in your pocket! with pocket lock.
* You like your brightness slider at the bottom? Do not want to see the auto brightness icon ? Or don't want to see the bar at all ? Well you can do all of them now.
* We have saner heads up now, if you are constantly annoyed by every notification pop up on your screen! Explore it to know it.
Upcoming
* We are working on OOS Cam, we have potrait pro mode etc working, so expect to see the next build with OOS Cam .
and too much more, small changes and tweaks to make your experience the best possible!!.
Due to the volume of changes, it is highly recommended to clean flash for the best experience.
Hey! Thanks for the work!
Possible to confirm that these items work?
- Fingerprint sensor
- Face unlock
- 5G
- Bluetooth?
- Flash from A11 or A12?
- Gcam or Oneplus Camera?
- What is this recovery?
- The battery is ok?
- Stable enough to work with?
Thank you !

1- Fingerprint Works
2- Nope, no Face unlock (Yet)
3- No one who tested reported 5g as broken, we don't have 5g at my place, but it should be working fine.
4- Bluetooth works just fine, I have usedi it for music and calls didn't face issue.
5- Gcam works, The one pre installed crashes, just uninstall it and install a compatible one, you'll be good to go.
6- A11 to A12 flash should be fine, but you'll have to wipe which technically is a clean flash.
7- It's just stock AOSP recovery based off on lineage recovery.
8- I have been using it as daily driver, Personally felt the battery has been kind to me.
9- And I prefer it over OOS
Cheers! Hope you check it out

XD, I guessed as much, but nah, we only have a testing group, no device specific group for rom.
ping me up on tg : @vjspranav if you are up for testing future builds.
Is there any possibility to get official OP9Pro stock camera on board for this rom??
And I have question, is Dolby Atom installed on the rom?

Nope, OOS Cam is a distant possibility as of now.
Don't have dolby atmos yet, looking into adding it in future builds.

Can you plz direct which camera should be installed on this rom. There are so many Gcam's, but you can you please be more specific which one would be highly recommended for this rom since OOS Cam is lost hope!!!

I would suggest using this (as everyone who tested found this to work quite well): https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/f/dl61/

Hi,
I hope this is an okay question to ask. How often can we expect updates?

No, this question is NEVER OK. Don't ask the devs for ETA or how often will they update. They'll do it whenever they feel it and have time. They're doing this for free, remember that!

Oh yeah I'm appreciative of them doing it for free. But I'll keep this in mind thank you!!
Wonderful work SIR!
So far running quite well.
I'm aware that this is the initial user build (beta), but I was wondering if the Color profiles will be added at a later time? At the moment there are the stock Android profiles present "Natural-Boosted-Saturated-Adaptive", which work fine if you select them. Just curious if the ones from OOS will be added "sRGB-WideGamut-DCI-P3"...
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Btw, I own multiple devices (Xiaomi ones), and I'm still part of "many" different testing groups, I flash my phones quite often (sometimes daily, or multiple builds per day when testing), so if you need a tester, I'm around, and I can, of course, take logs, and all whats needed.
