Update IMM76I Real or fake?

What do you think about this?
Some users are receiving a special update for resolve lost signal issues... or so they say ...
http://www.htcmania.com/showpost.php?p=4376163&postcount=69
would be nice if it is true
Could be legit, the kernel version is newer, but some people do have too much time on their hands so it could be fake.
Time will tell I guess.
Gonna call bull**** until I hear more about this.
I think it´s real...
I hope its real. My phone doesn't have the sleep bug with signal loss but I noticed twice now that for no reason when the phone is charging, the reception bars go grey and take about five mins to become active again. Might just be an unstable radio even though I'm using XXLA2. Might try out UGLC1 tonight

This happens all the time, this is not a "secret update" is a testing build, they have to test solutions in real scenarios with people that is experiencing the problem with controlled results, check the Transformer Prime forums here at XDA and you will see that ASUS contacted users via PM to ask them to test a new build that would fix some issues before release it to general use, Motorola does this also at their support forums and I'm sure a lot of more companies. So, this is just an indicator that google is working on it and in my opinion is that users on which they have trusted should not share it, because that will cause for us no to be trusted again..
That is my opinion
I'd imagine it's legit. I guess we'll find out...

I just got the IMM76I update on my Galaxy Nexus 30 minutes ago. But I wasn't having any connection problems before. Can't see any difference yet.
Grey bars only means your not connected to googles services like sync and so on.. still able to use internet though!

I've already replied to you in the other thread, but would you please post the link to the file? Look in this file and see if you see any filename that ends with a .zip:
/data/data/com.google.android.gsf/shared_prefs/update.xml
Thanks!

Has anyone had a positive experience with it?
I personally am not having the issue but would like to know if it has fixed the problem for people with the sleep/reception issues
How do you flash this update?

No problem with charging. Only other problem I got is my proximity sensor don't work no more. So when I make a call and screen goes black it stays black until the other person hangs up

Is there a fix for this
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I'll let others chime in with this, but I'll say that my previous S7 did that same thing - and never stopped through an entire year. I thought it was something with the firmware and waited IMPATIENTLY until it updated, still rebooted on it's own - then I figured why not root and see if I can fix it, same issues. I wish I would have returned it in the 14 days and gotten another.
If it were happening to me, I wouldn't deal with it, I'd replace it asap.

after Over the Air update phone constantly turns of and restarts now

I received an over the air update which I hit install. Ever since then the phone would freeze 30sec into startup and would have to take out the battery. It would finally work but constantly restarts its self. I downloaded Samsung Kies 2.6 and got the firmware updated. The phone still constantly restarts its self. I need help. Sorry if this is a repetitive question but I did try to search threads for an answer. Thank You.

Seriously, the issue probably isn't the update. Those phones have a notoriously bad power button. I had 3 of them die in a similar way.

Last I heard you needed WiFi in your vehicle for it to work? If be interested in it also, but I also like plugging in the device because my phone will always be 100% haha.
