Ringtone for Messaging, Email and Calendar - Huawei Mate 20 Questions & Answers

On my P9, I could differentiate between, not only Calendar, mail and messages, but also between mail accounts. This was great because just by listening to the notification ringtone one knew if it had to be attended to immediately or if it could wait until one gets time.
On the Mate 20, all of these use the same tone which is a real pain in the butt, everytime there is a software update, I check to see if this lack of functionality has been resolved but this does not happen.
I have read many complaints about the lack of this functionality, does Huawei not care about what their phone users say, or do they intend to resolve this issue?

Wondering; Different notification sounds on each email account?

I tried searching the internet and xda-forums, but found nothing. I hope this isn't a duplicate request.
I have 4 different e-mail accounts configured on my TyTN. I would so much like each of them have their own notification sounds on new e-mail. I have one account only for my system monitors alert e-mails and it would be great to have this alarm siren scare the beep out of me every time something went wrong. But obviously I wouldn't want that for my other e-mails.
Thanks for your time!
No-one? Anything? *bump*
There's an excellent Program that will do this
It's called "Inbox Tones" by Qorefunctions (http://mobileqore.moonfruit.com/)
It allows you to set a unique ringtone for each email account, and also for individual emails (ie specific persons) and also for groups.
It's solid and well worth the $
I would recommend that you download the Trial version and see if it does what you want.
But before buying it, I'd wait a bit - cause a little Birdie has told me that they ar ereleasing a new App for the PPC next month that combines the features of both Inbox Tones, and their other excellent program LED Alerts, and this App will also allow repeating alerts. It's NOT going to be offered as an 'Upgrade' to current users of Inbox Tones, so you if you like Inbox Tones you might wait for it to show up.
Hope this helps!

Thank you. The yahoo/gmail push program also seems cool. I am going to download the trial and see if it up to snuff.

calling all app developers

so basically im hoping someone can design a program that sets the message ringtone to just a real loud sharp quick bleep. but the kicker is it bleeps multiple times to tell you how many messages you have. sorta like a grandfather clock telling you the time. except for my messages so i dont ignore it and get backed up with more messages than i can handle

[Q] Google Hangouts and Text Messages

I just purchased the Moto 360 and upgraded to the latest 4.4W.2 software update. According to the Android Wear help forum when I receive a text message notification (my text messages come through Google Hangouts using my Google Voice number), in addition to the text just received, I should be able to view the last 20 messages with that person by swiping right to left. I am unable to do this. When I swipe LEFT (not right, as this dismisses the notification), I can see older messages I had with that person, but random ones, with messages missing in between (and also not 20, only a few). Furthermore, if I get multiple text messages from the same person, I can only view the last one sent by that person as any previous notification card is automatically dismissed!
Also, another issue I have is when I get missed call notifications, if I have more than one missed call, I cannot see who the missed calls are from! Only when I have one missed call notification can I see who the caller was. Is this also a bug, or is this just the feature that is available currently for Android Wear with Moto 360?
I am paired to a Samsung Galaxy S4 I337 (AT&T) that has been unlocked and then manually upgraded to Android 4.3.
I'm just wondering if others have these issues, and/or if this is solved with a software upgrade, or if my watch is somehow defective where I should take it back to Best Buy.
Thanks ahead of time for any help/advice.
Regards,
Saadat

"Hey Google" no longer reading latest text messages from Textra

Hi all, was working nicely for a long time.
Now it either just says "Something went wrong" or "There are no new messages."
I've spent multiple calls with Google tech support, nothing. Still same problem.
Pixel 3 XL, about 4 month old phone.
Would have used the default text app but I really use the scheduler function that Textra has, along with the 9-second delay.
Per Google tech support I also tried downloading another third-party app, like Pulse. Having same problem of not being able to read new text messages. It's one of the most important functions for me especially driving around, and being able to hear new messages & respond hands free!!
THANK YOU!

I know this isn't exactly the answer you're looking for, but you mentioned replying hands-free while driving. Android Auto has this functionality. You can listen to and respond to messages with just your voice. It even works with facebook messenger! I do 95% of my communicating through messenger, all that was really important to me. Anyways, hope this helped some.

Question RCS Chat Texting Not Working for Some Contacts

I use the native Samsung Messages text app that came with the Fold 3 (can't use Google Messages even if I wanted to because it doesn't show a bunch of past texts from my previous phone that I need access to). For the past week or two, a few contacts who also use RCS Chat texting have the blue/green dots on the Contacts list in the app, but not on the Conversation list, and it won't send Chat texts, only SMS/MMS, to them. But, their texts often come to me as Chat texts. This app has no way to toggle Chat on/off to reset it, but neither Airplane Mode nor restarting my phone (including after the T-mobile update with the eSIM/dual-SIM additions) fixed the problem.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it from my end? Or is it a Google server issue (it began with one of those times everyone's dot flashes off and then back on when you tap on them)? I know the person uses Google Messages because they don't have a Samsung phone (I think they have an LG). It is pretty important for one contact it isn’t working for to see if/when they read their texts. (Thankfully, for the other important one, theirs is working, and that's a Google Pixel phone.)
Anyone have an answer or also have this problem?
