XT1952-2 Model: Dual SIM - Band 12 & 71 support feasible? - Moto G7 Play Questions & Answers

Moto G7 Play Single-SIM version (US model) has band 12 & 71 enabled. Dual SIM version ("International Model") unfortunately does not. Assuming the hardware is the same in all variants, what is the scope to enable Band 12, Band 71 and maybe even 5GHz WiFi on the Dual SIM version?

I believe it's by software variant and baseband which you cannot change.

After a little research, seems the solution is to set the appropriate bits in LTE_BC_CONFIG using QPST/QXDM. Could it be that straightforward?
Thanks for any tips!

LTE bands of SM-930FD dual sim of Dubai

Hi guys. Can anyone let me know, what LTE bands of SM-930FD dual sim of Dubai support? Does it have band 40?
According to this site, yes it does work with band 40. It also lists all other bands the phone uses as well.
https://www.frequencycheck.com/models/A34rB/samsung-sm-n930fd-galaxy-note-7-duos-td-lte
Is there a way to check bands on the actual device? If so, I can check for you.

G7 dual sim - US & Europe

I want a phone that works in US (T-Mobile LTE band 4 1700/2100) as well as Europe.
It seems there are only 2 Lg G5 Dual Sim models:
g710eaw & g710emw
https://www.phonemore.com/compare/phones/lg-g7-thinq-g710eaw-vs-lg-g7-thinq-g710emw/8050095
But only LMG710EMW lists band4 1700/2100.
However LG.com site doesn't list this band on any of those two. Where can I find exact specs (frequencies) for those phones that are correct?
Anyone own LMG710EMW ? and does it work in US?
thanks
I can confirm LG G7 EAW dual sim with 6GB ram working fine on lte in Europe...

Ignore the bands shown on the LG site and by "most" sites which get their information from the LG site.
The LG site ONLY shows bands that are OFFICIALLY Supported by that region, NOT which the phone supports via hardware.
These phones also support WCDMA even though many pages selling these phones say "GSM only, no CDMA". Unless WCDMA and CDMA are not the same thing...
Bands supported on G710EAW are LTE B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA: 850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100
WCDMA: 1900/2000.
EMW I believe has some differences in LTE bands. Check the seller site. In most cases, the exact bands should be shown on the phone box itself, so ask for a picture of that.

So that does that mean that this phone ( G710EAW are LTE B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41) will work with Tmobile USA?

Did you know if the G710EAW works in Italy?
How is the frequency of updates despite the single Sim version?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info, can you so confirm that buying the EAW will have active by default all these bands? I hear that they are deactivated by the specific software.....

WCDMA and CDMA are not exactly the same.

Bands on Dual Sim SM-G988B/DS - Using in US

See:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Ga...hash=item2f3e25929d:m:m-RbzDQrZ-nfGw9V9LUYGlg
Its MSRP. They show band 30 (which is critical for AT&T) and 5G bands, for a dual sim device.
Anyone know if this is accurate?
G988B is Exynos device and that doesn't support well bands and carrier aggregation combinations used in US.

According to FrequencyCheck Band 30 is not supported. I've purchased a number of devices from MSRP, their device specs aren't always accurate.

Motorolla G 5G Plus XT2075-3 CBRS bands operation B48, or B42+43

Hello Forum.
Recently I picked up Moto G 5G plus (XT2075-3) phone from Amazon. It is unlocked European model (international), build number QPNS30.37-Q3-42-51-2. According to published specifications it supports LTE-TDD B42, B43 out of the box. However, after installing SIM card it only scans 3G bands for Base Stations (BS) and finds local operators in 700/850/1900/2100/2500MHz bands and quits. It does not seem to search for BS in 'non traditional' bands, such as B42 (3500) or B43 (3600). Ideally this phone would be a great addition for a CBRS band operation, but it does not seem to search for BS there.
Question - is there means to force radio to search TDD bands?
Thank you.
