Based on stock, Please DON'T flash OEM.img from SODP
You MUST Flash Stock 47.1.A.16.20 each time before you flashing LineageOS!
I use newflasher to flash XPERIASITE.PL_XZ_Premium_Dual_G8142_8.0.0_47.1.A.16.20_CommonwealthOfIndependentStates.ftf
If you meet any problems, Try to flash different areas' ftf, then flash lineages again.

Thanks for sharing mate, any chance LOS 16 is in the works?

Thank you, keep working, waiting for lineage 16.

How's the signal on this? Anytime in installed a Los Rom I always get zero Lte in an area I know gets Lte. Also have had the problem where it won't go to h+ and will just show zero bars on Lte

WIFI
The first time I started the ROM, WIFI can work for me, but after rebooting, it doesn't work for me. This is the same error that I tested last time with @derf elot build. Is this problem only me?
Please delete the log file.zip

I also met this problem, After I reflashed the stock rom, I flash LOS15.1 again. Wifi works.
BTW, are you G8141 or G8142?

I use G8142, but no matter how many times I flash the stock, it still doesn't work for me.

The strange thing is that when I flash to stock pie, then flash lineage 15, WIFI still works for me after reboot. But the camera does not work. But from stock oreo flash to lineage 15, WIFI is broken after reboot. Can you tell me you use newflasher Or fashltool? And which region's firmware version?

The problem with this rom (camera not working) is that it still requires a drm patch because i still get green images like if i was still on stock. Tried using xperi fix and im pretty sure it boot looped it. I feel as though you need to flash the ftf. Drm patch it. Then try to install lineage so the drm patch is still present on the device when install the rom. I will report back and see if this fixes it. If it doesnt im going back to stock. Cause even google camera still gives me green images

So, have you flashed the lineage? Is WIFI working properly?

yes i aquired the firmware version he stated u needed. And then flashed that using newflasher. and then flashed los, gapps and everything worked except for the camera still needing DRM FIX

Does this have raw support?

I have no idea because i cant figure out why the camera is still popping green photos. I have tried every xperia xz premium drm patch known to man on this website and it all comes back the same. Green photo's.
Iv been cranking on this thing for at least three hours. Heres what iv tried.
iv flashed the stock firmware, then did xperia fix, hoping it would stick. It didtnt.
iv tried manually placing the files into the correct folders and changing security levels.
Iv flashed this los15.1 at least 6 times to see if it helped any. It didnt.
I cant figure it out and until the OP gets back to me and replies here. Not much i can do except go back to stock.

The source code should be added the drm fix. I will check it. If camera still not works, you could only wait for Los16 which is based on stock Pie. Everything runs fine on my XZP.
-----------------------------------
BTW, can camera work on CarbonRom 8.1 ?
Los15.1 uses almost the same source code with it.

but it might change in the future..
What a beast you are
New build is up guys! Use the first "download" link in OP to get it.. ill be uploading on the second link too, in a minute!!
Changes - Check Euphoria's gerrit.
Sync was done like 7 hours back!
Used a new toolchain. UBER TOOLCHAIN 4.8 for ROM and 4.9 for kernel!
Everything is frikking smoother and faster now.
SELinux is set to permissive. I like it that way.
I am still looking to implement LVM. Might take time. I am a NOOB
I've tried both beta's and they both run extremely smooth. Only problem I've had with both is when someone sends me a text I get unfortunately messenger has stopped on both beta's. I've tried clean installs on both coming from nameless then tried clean install coming from cyanogen 12. Tried cleaning data and cache from messenger app but nothing has worked. Everything else has worked but receiving texts. Correct APN was verified so I'm at a loss.

I've seen where people were having same issues with cyanogen 12.1 as well so might be an underlying issue there. Wish they could get it resolved for what time I've played with this ROM I'd love to give it more time as a daily driver but I need to be able to receive texts. Other then this issue the work looks very good and promising.
WiFi is broken when flashing SuperSU for root.
ROM worked fine prior.

Super su 2.46
Thanx for a great build
(Just flashed beta 2.48, wifi speed is back at normal again, it was extremely slow and sluggish on 2.46?)

Thanks, will try out 2.48
Everything actually works at first boot. ROM backups my apps through cloud. But after restarting, WiFi breaks and am unable to fix the issue until I do another clean install. Only happens on 5.1, can't replicate it on 5.0.2.
EDIT: Scratch that, I actually flashed 2.48 :banghead: Wonder what the issue is.

Hello @mauronofrio
But... Your ROMs (CM 14.1, PAC-MAN, Bliss, RR and this- SlimROM) are compatible with version Z2 or Z2_plus?
Because in the Thread write "Z2" while in the folder AndroidFileHost present only the ROM for "Z2 Plus"
I'm confused... Thanks!
z2 and z2 plus are the same phone
@Fedor917 @mauronofrio, can we re-enable long tap please? it's more useful than long press of the fingerprint/home button
separately, does slim rom support substratum/layers or use CMTE? would be great to have a z2 rom that supports substratum, since CMTE app themer engine is still quite buggy ...

The following commit tries to fix this problem:
https://github.com/SlimRoms/device_oneplus_oneplus3/commit/5d692e32436fa0617c32318238fbfa8e926ae7a1
After ROM compile, data still doesn't come back after wifi disconnect but comes on after turning airplane mode on & off. Only benefit is that you don't have to restart your device to get data on. But problem is not 100% fixed.
Note: any Dev with a complete fix for this, let me know. this is my daily driver.

hm never used anything above marshmallow for this device. Just assumed anything above MM will be unstable. Just use latest twrp - wipe system/cache/data. clean flash, all should work I guess.
I've just tried it and data is not working whether connection type I am using, but I had to go back on Cr droid:/

No I didn't downgrade but it is a good suggestion, so I should flash a twrp zui version
first the flash slim rom? knid of a pain in the ass if I don't keep the rom as a daily driver.

Its also recommend to upgrade to stock nougat first instead of flashing a nougat rom directly due to firmeware related things like baseband etc. so..

Have you managed to flash the rom with data working? Only issue I had in the past was Wi-Fi not working, fixed long ago. I'm guessing this issue has something to do with flashing rom from a Nougat base/rom (different drivers etc). In past devices i had to flash modem/bootloader for MM to get stuff working with MM Custom Roms. Not sure about about this device, never upgraded beyond MM.
If anyone tested this update & everything works let me know. If there's still issues, I'll remove the links.
Testing right now
Everything seems to be fine, flash with darkmoon kelner 4.1
Except Wifi/data but after turning on airplane mode and turning of, data works

FAQ: Read me please.
1. I'm G8141, Can I use los?
For G8141, You can try to delete :
Code:
persist.vendor.radio.multisim.config=dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
ro.telephony.default_network=9,0
in build .prop.
2. Google play service
Flash Opengapps or MindTheGApps by yourself. Or install MicroG.
3. Bootloop at Sony Logo
Try force-reboot.
If phone still bootloop, format cahce, system partition and flash zip again. DON'T flash gapps or Magisk. If you still bootloop, you may need to format userdata and make a clean installation.
4. I want Gcam
Los16 is based on stock blob, we are lack of support of RAW, so we can't support gcam.
4. I want longer battery time
We get full performance of CPU and GPU by default, you can try to limit the frequency of CPU.
4. I meet random reboot
Try to format userdata partition and make a clean installation. For G8142, you can try to disable Enhanced 4G LTE Mode in Mobile network. This will disable IMS, but more stable.

Thank you, I will try test.
It's a shame the US version is the only version I would use that is on 62. Ce1 is not there yet.
Edit. No fingerprint on the US I mean

Firmware in different regions should only be different on the operator's customization, I am not sure, but you can try,Flash other area firmware.I have been doing this in the stock firmware.

My theory is lineage os will activate it when I flash it regardless of stock
EDIT: well fingerprint does work the the US version. But i get random freezes and reboots with for no reason when my sim card is in.

Temporarily no random freeze or reboot, did you start the stock firmware before flashing?

Because some people sell my ROM in China, I removed Chinese from system language.

No, you should not start with stock, maybe you need try ftf of other areas.
I only met freeze once. All work fine now.
I will try to improve the stability in the next version. Because the kernel is not based on Los15.1.

5: booted device to no signal bars.
6: removed SD card. Rebooted after awhile
7: took sim out and device worked fine.
8: so its got problem with a T-Mobile sim card

I had no plan to port SoundEnhancement to Los, because there still are much issues need to solve.
ARCore should works fine. You can download it from Google play, apkpure or apkmiror.

You need to rebuild the whole Los from source code.
After the system is stable, I will release the device tree. But I wouldn't add Chinese to the ROM on XDA before they stop selling my ROM.

What This Is
This is a personal project to get Lineage OS running on my Pixel 3a. As such it is provided as is, though I will endeavor to provide regular builds and offer limited support as I am able.
What's Been Tested
This is my daily driver, so I've flashed ElementalX kernel and openGapps Pico over stock.
T-Mobile (at least), camera, wifi, bluetooth, gps are used regularly without issue.
What Was Not Tested
Root
Squeeze sensor
Gapps beyond Pico
Known Issues
eSIM doesn't work and has been removed
If flashing Gapps, an app downloaded at first-time setup Data Transfer Tools will crash constantly and needs to be uninstalled. This may mean you can't transfer data from an old phone to this one via setup.
Downloads
Lineage OS 16.0 Unofficial
Installation
I have not had success with an installable zip for TWRP yet, so the rom images must be flashed via fastboot. You should be familiar with fastboot before attempting to install this rom. It is recommended that you back up your current OS before installing a new one.
Installing this or any rom will void your warranty.
After unlocking OEM and your bootloader, boot into bootloader either with fastboot reboot bootloader or by holding VOLUME DOWN + POWER from power off, plug your phone into the computer.
If running on a linux machine with fastboot installed you can execute the flash-all.sh script included in the download. Alternatively or otherwise:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot -w (to wipe cache and data)
After installing, Gapps (ARM64, 9.0, see note in Known Issues), kernels, Magisk (UNTESTED) and other zips can be installed as normal via TWRP.
I Wanna Go Back
Up-to-date stock images are provided by Google and can be reflashed from bootloader.
Just follow the instructions at the top of the page.

Nice work! I'll have to wait until tonight to test it.
I've been working on my own builds. The June firmware worked well, but after updating to July firmware and vendor, WiFi calling isn't working. The camera had always been a little fickle. I can't wait to test...
Does it support Google Camera fully (with motion and everything)?
Any hope of making it official?
Great work!

Let me know what you discover! I haven't tested wifi calling (wouldn't even know how) wifi calling works fine on T-Mobile, and while I looked through my logcat, I can't say I was entirely confident in my ability to read it...
Mostly 'access denied' errors on some gpu libraries and an error reading the squeeze sensor config (but only when I'm connected to adb).

Thanks! I hadn't tested google camera motion till now, but it doesn't look to be working works with Google Photos installed. Haven't had trouble with pictures and video otherwise through it though.
In regards to making it official, maybe with some polish. I'm new to the android dev scene so not too confident in my ability to maintain a project like this yet.
But I'll look into the process.

Yes, I get a lot of selinux errors in the logcat too. I haven't had time to research them.
The squeeze issue is odd, perhaps some uid is conflicting. I think these are set up in the init files.
Nevermind @koichirose, camera Motion works fine once I installed Google Photos. :good:

It's odd that it only shows up when I connect to logcat via adb. Local terminal logcat doesn't show me these squeeze errors.
Also, wifi calling working on T-Mobile :good:
Thanks for building. I had issues installing apps from the play store, lots of download pending despite force stopping play store and several reboots. Also magisk doesn't appear to work when flashed through twrp. I didn't try patching the kernel through magisk manager though. Good first look though!

I ran into this same issue - had to remove Data Transfer Tools (don't need root for this, since it was downloaded by gapps) and do a cache wipe to be able to download apps again. I think it blocks you from using the play store until you complete google's first-time setup, and this app blocks that (not to mention it crashes frequently).
I'll test out Magisk when I'm able. You may need to enable root access to apps in dev settings, but I'm unsure.
OMG thank u so much! Was waiting for this forever, hope you can make twrp zip

Is the device showing as certified without root?
Could anybody who has been testing out this rom give me any idea of what their battery life is like? I feel like mine has been much worse since flashing this. Dropped 10% overnight with nothing running and in airplane mode.
any chance for a 3aXL port? I've been wanting to do one myself but I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel so not much time to setup a build environment.

I get about 2 days out of a charge on ElementalX kernel, but I'm sorry to say I've hardly tested vanilla LoS kernel.
In my experience I usually have to go through a full charge cycle on a new rom then restart my phone for battery life to stabilize.

RELEASE
This is an alternative ROM for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, offering several privacy features.
Please report any issues you observe apart from the ones listed below. Logs are needed for me to fix anything (preferably dmesg and logcat). I can't test NFC very thoroughly, to please report your findings.
FEATURES
Signed with dev keys
Up-to-date kernel
WireGuard kernel support
Real vendor partition
FBE instead of FDE encryption
DOWNLOAD
You can download the latest releases and TWRP here:
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=333825
Check the ChangeLog below for firmware requirements!
INSTALLATION
This build uses a real vendor partition in place for the (now) useless oem partition. You will therefore need the modified TWRP with vendor/FBE support linked above.
Before first install: flash and boot into TWRP, format data, reboot to recovery and wipe all internal partitions.
After above step / any subsequent dirty flashes: Boot into recovery, put the ROM, GApps and root (if needed) on sdcard and flash.
Note: There is not going to be a LOS su addon anymore. If you need root, flash a root manager of your choice. No guaranteed support from LOS for this.
When updating from previous builds, simply dirty flash the ROM, together with any GApps and/or other modifications - addon.d will not work due to currently unavailable TWRP decryption.
Recommended GApps: MindTheGapps-12.1.0
KNOWN ISSUES
Stock camera is not working anymore due to incompatibility of stock library (libimageprocessorjni.so) with new libgui
You tell me...

f2fs is enabled in the kernel ( https://github.com/whatawurst/andro...8998-yoshino-maple_dsds_defconfig#L4632-L4636 ), but that doesn't mean you can use it as is. You would have to adjust the fstab's. No that I would recommend it, seeing as f2fs hasn't really received a lot of updates/(security) fixes for 4.4 kernels in recent times.
And no, you cannot update the gpu drivers. The Sony stock camera blobs are quite dependent on a specific tag.

is signature spoofing (for microg) enabled?
and as i already have installed the ArrowOS build of avl.callista which is based on your work: flash Stock ROM and then install your twrp+rom? or is stock rom step not necessary and it's enough to flash twrp+rom?

no, spoofing is not enabled. I have made builds for 19 before with spoofing enabled, so it works. but rebuilding with spoofing enabled takes a while every time, since it includes changes in fw/b and that's a hefty compile.
as for flashing over another rom: it may or may not work. upgrading from los 18 should work by flashing rom together with 12.1 microg, but no idea about migrating from one rom to another.

hi,
thx for your answer. i was just curious, as the arrowos build is based on your work and has signature spoofing enabled. But if, as you write, that's a lot of work then ... no problem. the arrowos version is stable
And, without signature spoofing, the part with "howto best migrate from rom A to rom B" is obsolete Self-building doesn't seem to be an option, as the hardware requirements seem a bit ... ambitious
Thanks for the great ROM.
I did a few tests today and I couldn't find anything broken.
The only issue I have found so far is when I take a picture or video with Open Camera and try to open it for preview inside the app. It does not work.
Thanks for your working on the ROM.
I found that LOS installed on my G8142 seems to have screen always on when charging, both on 18.1 and 19.1 (which is this one). How to turn it off?
Very nice, THANK YOU for great rom, i am testing it rn, so far so good.

Great, yes it needs the twrp I uploaded because of vendor partition and change from fde to fbe.
But just for reference, pulling the battery should not be necessary if it gets stuck. it should be enough to press and hold vol up (or down, I forget because I haven't needed it in a while) + power. it'll vibrate once, but keep holding it until it vibrates twice in quick succession. that should power it off. you can then enter fastboot to flash twrp or flash mode to flash stock.

I agree, but i have faulty vol+ key so i was having a hard part sadlly.
Can i ask you something i see this problem 1+ years on all Lineage roms and i am not a developer:
SETTINGS / DISPLAY / LIVE DISPLAY / COLOR PROFILE / VIVID
If i choose this profile i get like 8 bit colors after a while of use, but realy like this profile... i adjusted it manualy now its good looking and stable but wondering if it is XZ P specific or all lineage
short message: my SIM card isn't working with this ROM.
long message: today i installed this ROM. I first flashed stock ROM, booted into it once, and then flashed this ROM. But, as with the ArrowOS ROM, my SIM card isn't working.
More Details: after fresh install of this ROM and during boot i enter the SIM PIN (so that works), but after boot it says: "service not available" (Dienst nicht verfügbar). I'm unable to get it working.
Provider: congstar (telekom daughter). The SIM worked with stock ROM, and it works in an older Samsung S5. Just for curiosity i flashed stock ROM again and
Yeah, i know, no warranty, but... someone had such a problem before?
thx
geee... getting crazy here... after the next (test) flash of this ROM the SIM suddenly works, as well as phone calls, SMS, ...
what's the difference to the first flash? after latest stock ROM flash i left the SIM inside, and the stock ROM (or the telekom software) did some settings, rebooted, and then i started the last flash. Is there something magic that is happening here?
if i had more hair all of it would be bright gray...
OK, after almost a week... no SIM card problems anymore. ROM is running stable.
Just some apps that somehow rely on Google Play Services (or microg maybe) don't run: apps that warn regarding severe weather conditions or catastrophes, like 'DWD Warnwetter', 'NINA KatWarn' etc.. Push notifications...
ROM is stable, and i finally managed the signature spoofing + microg stuff. Thx to @Yokurt815 and his little list in the XZ1C thread - going step by step, writing it all down, finally succeeded.
Am i right that the magisk/lygisk stuff has to be done again after flashing an possibly upcoming ROM update?
Big thanks to @derf elot for this rom
A couple of things though . . .
Anyone got this setting to turn on?
All languages set to English AU
Mind the gapps 12.1 installed
Google set to default assistant
Also, trying to search in settings causes a crash.

You need to set Ok Google/Hey Google at first boot; otherwise, it won't work.
