How to root??? - Sony Xperia XA2 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, i have XA2 H4113 dual, after getting Android 9 pie i realized that its nothing different i got than Oreo, its so called software upgrade doesn't have sony Xperia new launched out of the box pie devices such as Xperia 10 and 10 plus user interface and launcher,
Over all its really disappointing to XA2 users which were hopeful for new UI and Launcher after updating 9.0 pie
So after deep consideration i am willing to root my device 1st time in life, but i want to root my device with one click root apps like King root, one click root or Kingo root, after watching several tutorials on YouTube about all these rooting apps i download and install one by one these all and try to root my device as per given instructions on tutorials , but no luck for me, please let me know and help me out what are the reasons behind rooting failure with these super easy and popular methods? Thanks in advance :good:

Thank you so much for your kind reply, can you share the method how to unlock bootloader please?? Any method without using pc?

Pc is for bootloader unlock needed
https://developer.sony.com/develop/...d/unlock-bootloader/how-to-unlock-bootloader/
For twrp is a pc also needed

unlocking the bootloader is not a big deal but there is no root for android Pie yet, unless you wanna try something weird and brick your phone

Has anyone rooted this phone with lineageOS?
Tried addonsu and Magisk both seem to run ok when adb sideloaded through TWRP but don't actually work when booted into OS.
Why lineageOS hasn't got root by default?

So XA2 ultra user here and not sure if this helps, but magisk seems to install fine for us (discovery) but so far I'm having a ton of issues regarding freezes and reboots. Will search for a kernal fix, anyone have a clue to this? Just thought I'd inset my 2ยข into this and see if anyone has any insight to this. Thanks guys you do great work ?

hey guys what happen to the 2nd screen if you custom rom it?
Hey guys i achieved temporary root on my K500H with Kingroot pc and already debloated it, but only one time when i restarted the phone again it was ok but not rooted anymore. well something is better than nothing.
get kingroot from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
I recommend u to do it on pc first (turn off antivirus), cause if you do it with the android app itself and u fail maybe u will be not able to root again.
If you do this, root and do all things u want, and before u reboot the phone unroot and uninstall kingroot (from the app).
I wish to say that I am not an expert. I read that oneclickroot can root the LG x K500I phone, I have a K500N and the same software can't root my device. Does anyone know the reason why software doesn't work? or a workaround to make it works?

Yea don't confuse root and unlocked bootloader, you can achieve root without having bootloader unlocked, but it will be temporary.

Hi, check on youtube your error, thats a common issue.

Is it worth rooting OP3?

So my One Plus 3 arrives today.. I am still considering whether to root or not?
I used to avidly root every phone i had but since using Android Pay I am not so sure.
What are you guys going to do? and whats your main reason for rooting?
Root is good if you want adblock, kernel app for adjustments(OC,UC etc), xposed modules etc. I personally root within few days, unlock bL and flash twrp. You can even find browser with built in adblock, no root needed, i suggest that to my friend who wants to keep warranty. It's up to you to decide. Cheers
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Cheers, yeah i used to love xposed for background youtube etc and no adverts but then i found out about adguard and also firetube app!

"The technical process of rooting or unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty of the OnePlus device. However, we strongly suggest for you to only root or unlock the bootloader of the OnePlus device if you are confident that you understand the risks involved. By accessing resources regularly unavailable to software, the process may damage your hardware during or after the procedure, which is not covered under warranty. In warranty handling, we will need to verify that any faulty behavior is unrelated to rooting / unlocking first." - Oneplus Support
So you do not lose your warrenty.
Interesting update guys.. i decided to root.
Used the supersu systemless forced beta from the thread on here and android pay is still working, and my banking fingerprint works etc :s but adaway and titanium works too..
Im now confused.. not gonna flash xposed because that would ruin it right lol
Yes, that is correct, an enabled xposed will disable Android Pay.
Where can you find the correct Xposed for the OP3 anyway?

Flash the latest V85 sdk23 ARM64
If you bought this phone and don't intend to root, what is the point??? This phone is a tweakers paradise. And what is the big deal about Android Pay? Seriously....just use your card.
I unlocked bootloader and root the phone on the first day. It is worth it at first for Adblocker and the build.prob tweak for Ram-Managment. Better Battery Stats... At the Moment i don't use Xposed. I used it for xprivacy, but the Android 6 has proper right management. If i can find a way to get YouTube Adfree without Xposed, i won't use it.
Haven't found a strong enough reason yet. Got tired of all the flashing, only thing I miss is an adblocker.
You buy such a phone for root, changing roms and so on.. So do it yes
First use
i would first use it with stock rom just to try it.
I flashed SuperSU without breaking the underlying SafetyNet infrastructure and Android Pay works as well. Just using a few more apps like Adaway and Titanium.
I always root my phones, but with the original recovery and boot not being out for this phone, I feel a bit uneasy as there is no way of going back for now.

Boot is there. Only recovery is an issue and believe me, recovery isn't ever needed. You can do everything from twrp. But, recovery should come soon with oneplus 3 on downloads.oneplus.net (when it comes)

Systemless Xposed works almost everywhere where normal xposed works. So, if normal xposed works on your phone, Systemless also should. And yes, the systemless supersu might also work. Nothing guaranteed

Quick question guys,
Im currently waiting for phone to get delivered today. Had a question, If I install xposed first but then remove it would that allow android pay to work again? Or once I install it it can't be undone properly for Pay to work?

Kingroot is the simplest way to root!
other methods may be called "Dirty" (according to your definition) , involving unlocking bootloader, loosing original DRMkeys, flashing kernals (involving risk of bricking device / and/or stuck at bootloops) and finally gaining Root Access.

I have a MetroPCS LG K-10 lgms428. That phone comes with the OEM unlock under the development section in the menu. I know how to eat an unlock it and send a command through fastboot. Once that's done though willing to try anything to get root. I've been going to the forum, many people want root.

I was wondering that some apps like force doze can modify system using adb interface by granting the shell command to the package and giving permission to use "android.permission.DUMP" and work like a charm on my lg k10 (ms428)
I had an idea if adding this command manually using the same method to the kingroot package will root my device properly without any risk off hardbrick?

You guys unlocked Bootloader? Without unlocking bootloader the TWRP wont work.
I have unlocked bootloader on metropcs k10, qualcomm variant. Used minimal adb and fastboot on a laptop with win 7. In windows, nothing worked until i used master admin privilege. Open command prompt, type " net user administrator /active:yes " and restart your computer. As soon as it booted up it found my device and installed drivers. Bootloader unlocked right away. Now i want to install twrp. Would flashing through adb and fastboot be the best way??

[Updated] [Realme UI] 90 FPS Enabler for Third Party Apps

Changelog V1.3: Added support for BGMI.
Hey Friend,
This is a magisk module which can be used to enbale 90fps for Third Party Apps in Realme UI. After flashing this module you don't need to run that adb command on every reboot. Flash this and forget.
Note: This is used to remove the restriction put by oppo in lastest updates. This does not change the normal behaviour of the apps..
Great. Hope there is a solution for rootless devices too.

not at all it will never come , i made worst for waiting ota updates which are not unstable some time for the phone
but im trying some other way to force 90hz via terminal
For some reason it doesn't work 100% for me. Apps like Poweramp and 9gag for example are 60fps, which is weird cause Poweramp used to run in 90 for me even without the mod.
I need to know supported magisk module link?

yes magisk needs unlocking
I tried multiple methods to force 90hz without root. but those dicksuckers have black listed package names and activities in system. so it seems impossible to force 90htz without root as of now.

After rooting, u can see those package names right!
So, they are locked before rooting??

We can see them without rooting but we can't change them. That's why rooting required.

Hi, I have raised bug report about natively supported games which were not able to reach 90fps!!. They completely capped all the games to 60fps whether they will support like Odyssey altos, adventure or not supporting games natively by game developers like cod and pub... They didn't gave any kind of reply till now: they said today that they will revert within 24 hours and I am waiting...

Hi, one small doubt: after unlocking bootloader: do I need to change to custom for 90fps in gaming or i can get 90fps gaming in original Realme UI after unlocking bootloader with magisk.
Another doubt: if I unlock bootloader all my goign to be deleted or just only app data. I have done earlier on my previous phone long back (2 years ago) but forgot about this thing..
What about wide vine l1 supported, am I able get through process. As l1 changes to l3: any process get back after unlocking!!

1. after unlocking you can get 90fps out of the box in custom roms. But in RUI you need this module or a terminal command.
2.. after unklocking you are going to loose every data including files on internal storage and apps.
3. L1 is gone straight after unlocking bootloader. only way to get back is lock it again. ( risky process)

How to check 90Hz
Hi, guys. Just wanna check if module works for me and gives me 90Hz instead of 60Hz. Do you know any app solutions to check it out?
hi thanks for the mod!
I wanted to ask you one thing: does this mod also work in "smart" mode, or does it work only when you put 90hz from screen settings?
I hope I have explained myself well

I've applied this module.
Opening the 90 fps option does not increase fps.
But it works in lineage os.
