I've had this problem for a long while now, where if I tell Android Assistant to call or text a contact, she responds with

I've had this problem on Stock, AOSP, custom Rom, Android P and Q, using both beta and non-beta google apps.
I've cleared storage, uninstalled updates, reset permissions.
Anybody know what the deal or fix is?

How do I get this?! I thought it was just a Google Voice thing but its not. This is located in the phone app btw.
Bump I have tried using Google Voice and "carrier voicemail" and neither are giving me this option?

pretty sure google voice/your carrier needs to update first, then this is possible. no ones when that will happen though
Hi, I unbricked my tablet with this version "T800XXU1BOCC_T800UVS1BOC2_HOME.tar.md5", but when rebootet it, all apps crashes, like "Google play stopped woking" and does not pass to this window

Wipe the data and cache in recovery.
Also if you see a notification to update google services then let it update.
Every Android I've had has a Messaging widget that shows a list of the contacts I've last messaged with a preview of the previous message beneath it. It's looked like this

I can't seem to find anything like that on the phone and I'm not sure if any of the SMS apps on the store offer anything better. Anyone got any suggestions?
I'm not rooted or running any custom software or anything of that nature.

Since last update my phone has been so laggy, it's showing 13gb used of Ram. I haven't done any modifications since last update. Also, apps like Whatsapp and Discord just hang up the calls if the screen is off for a couple of minutes.
Does someone have any suggestions I can try to fix this? Thanks
android oreo default contacts and messages application is the lineage version but with changed icons compatible with stock rom and custom rom

Thank you very much for the messages app, i tried it on my Moto G4 running stock Oreo and it worked perfectly, now i replaced the Google Messages app
