fingerprint issues - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

I am now unable to use the fingerprint reader.
I was on LOS and noticed only one of my saved fingerprints was working, tried to add another and it would get to the last touch and say enrollment was not completed.
After many attempts to delete saved fingerprints and retry setups I now cannot get any fingerprints to save.
I have resorted to restoring stock via miflash to no avail. I even went back to 8.1.
Anyone have any ideas on what I can try?
I've tried reflashing stock a few times and factory resets from there. Nothing seems to help.

Here is the error I am facing

Fixed by flashing persist.img
Not sure why but I can use fingerprint reader with no issues now.
I had previously tried flashing vendor but the problem was still there.
I'm surprised that flashing the stock firmware with miflash didn't fix the problem.

Recover IMEI, baseband, WIFI and random reboots

So, yesterday I unlocked my OnePlus 3, rooted it and flashed a custom recovery. So I managed to install MIUI 8, and fingerprint scanner didn't work, so I flashed 3.2.4 firmware. Then I realised that I couldn't get my native language and I installed CM14, but before I flashed 3.2.6 firmware. As far as Nougat is still not ready for my daily usage, I restored OOS 3.2.6 from my entire backup.
I couldn't unlock the device. The pattern was not recognised as correct, even if it was. So I flashed cleaned data, cache and dalvik, and from here my problems started. I had no IMEI, no baseband, no wifi, my phone constantly randomly rebooted, so I tried to flash EFS twrp restore. Nothing. I tried with 3.2.6 firmware. Nothing. I decided to return "original". I copied JUST the EFS and Boot backup from TWRP folder to my pc, locked bootloader, flashed original recovery and OOS 3.2.7. Still the same problems, plus at the beginning I couldn't even complete my first setup. My actual condition is:
OnePlus 3 A3003, locked bootloader, unrooted, stock recovery, oem unlocked, debug enabled, efs partion (at this point I think so) messed up, efs backup doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
EDIT: As the user @_ekis_ suggested me via private message, I flashed OOS, performed a "Fastboot erase modemst1;
Fastboot erase modemst2", and I got back IMEI, baseband (most important thing for me) and SIM. And no more random reboots. But there is still a problem: the wifi. It seems it disabled. Whenever I activate it, I cannot see any wifi, I cannot refresh the WIFI list etc. I already backed up my EFS, and I will perform a new OOS installation via fastboot. I hope for the best
EDIT 2: And yes, it worked! Now everything is back. A real thank you to @_ekis_ for his support and all the OnePlus 3 Telegram group.
Try flashing a modem package and it might help the imei. Theres a thread on the modems around here somewhere.

I don't mind about IMEI. The only thing I want back is just the baseband. I'm trying to flash OOS 3.2.6 now.
If it will not work, I will perform a modemmst erase

Heya! Got the same problem couple days ago, would you be so kind and share how you managed to get your WIFI working again? It will save a tonn of my nerves.

Sensor issues after installing and wiping "o" beta.

So I installed the beta and decided to go back to 7.1.2.
I did a normal wipe in TWRP then reinstalled SAOSP.
The first problem I noticed was that the phone was slow to turn the screen on after pressing the power button or the fingerprint scanner.
The second problem was that the proximity sensor wasn't working in phone calls. I then checked a few others sensors and noticed that the rotation also want working.
I downloaded a sensor checking app and it showed that the proximity sensor had a value of 5 but it didn't change when covering the sensor.
First thought was a bad flash, so I re-wiped and installed a Nand backup that I knew was good. Same thing happened, so I tried PN. That didn't work.
Downloaded stock zip, backed up personal data, then did a complete wipe with the zip, internal data included. The problems stayed even on stock.
I have since read through whatever threads I could. This seems to be a random issue people have had in the past. Yet is particularly prevalent after the o beta.
Most people have suggested to just re-flash stock but that hasn't worked. The only suggestion I have read otherwise is to also lock and then unlock the bootloader in the process as well.
Who else has this problem and has anyone found a fix yet?
Ok, someone posted in another thread (PN) that the locking and unlocking the bootloader worked for them.
If you have the issue try it out.
Just remember to copy all your internal data to your PC or other storage to save it.

To fix this, I flashed O DP2 factory image again and then stock 7.1.2 factory image. Now everything's working and I'm rocking Dirty Unicorns 7.1.2

I tried it this way but after flashing back to 7.1.2 stock, I now get a crash of com.android.phone immediately after booting, followed by a reboot.
Tried clearing cache but didn't help. Anyone know what to try to fix the crash?
UPDATE: Wiped data and now it's fine.

JFingerprint option not there anymore

Hey guys I've been trying to look this up but I haven't found any answers..
My fingerprint option in security is totally gone and Moto action's sensor navigation just doesn't work. Now I'm not sure what I did for that to happen but my guess is that it has something to do with flashing oreo twrp flashable zip (unsuccessful) and reverting back to stock nougat.
After restoring nougat and booting system I had an error for wrong pattern. I fixed this issue with a lockscreenkey.zip fix available on these forums. Until recently I never went back to set fingerprints in the settings so I never realized that it was gone. The other security options are still there though, only fingerprint is missing.
I have a feeling that doing a complete stock fastboot firmware flash would fix this but I was hoping for another solution
Edit: this problem is solved guys ... I went for the full fastboot firmware solution and it's working. Sry for creating a thread like this for nothing.

fpc1020tp.kl missing from /system/usr/keylayout, please help.

Hey guys I recently flashed stock ZUI 3.5 to get to the new baseband. Then I flashed AEX 6.2 and was using a root explorer to chance the U-touch options. After making some changes and rebooting the "fpc1020tp.kl" file, was not there in the folder anymore. I tried clean flashing again but the problem still persisted for some reason, tried multiple roms, still doesn't show up. Please help.
Even after flashing with QFIL and back to AEX the files still cannot be seen.

A50 SM-505G fingerprint not working after root

Hello guys, ive sucessfully rooted ( Magisk 20.3) my device SM-A505G, everything working, excep for fingerprint scanner, sucks i know. Before rooting my phone worked just fine, so its not a hardware related stuff.
I full flashed SM-A505GT binary 5 stock rom (Android 9) on my phone, BL, AP, CP and CSC.
Curious thing is, i went looking for the com.fingerprint service and it is missing, its probably the cause of my nightmare. Do any of you know how to solve this problem? I would install any rom, stock or custom to solve it. It would be easier if i could just install the missing fingerprint service back, i have no clue how to do it.
When i try to add any fingerprint on settings menu or after factory reset it says: "An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device". Ive restarted multiple times and problem persists.
PS: I tried to flash another stock rom, binary 5, now from SM-505G, and that did not work aswell, everything works, except from fingerprint scanner. I keep getting the same message i mentioned above. I hope i can restore the fingerprint function of my phone.
Thanks in advance
I did some search and found that installing TWRP after december update patch breaks all the sensors, that is my case. Is there any solution for this problem yet (for A50)? I have no clue how to put my fingerprint scanner to work again. Sorry for my grammar, this is not my main language.
