Hi,
do you have a USB HDD with an LED indicator? Or USB stick with an LED? If yes:
- pull power cord
- connect USB HDD/stick
- replug power cord
Does the LED of the USB HDD/stick go on?

Phone doesn't boot

Hi.
I left my Arc S went out of battery and now it doesn't boot.
I put it charging on my pc by usb and it turn the green led on. Pressing the power button, it does nothing at all. If I take the cable it when I press the power button it just blink the red led and doesn't boot.
I'm on trip and need my phone urgently. How can I fix this? Could the battery be dead? It shouldn't turn on just even without battery?
Thank you!!

Does it show the battery charging on the screen?
My arc shows the charging battery icon on screen when charging it while being off.
I think you might need to leave it charging for a while before powering it on. Another thing, try a charger instead of the pc.

Don't panic. Just connect it to the charger and wait for few minutes and see after a while it starts up or not. If it doesn't, if you can, try to turn it on with another battery.
Thanks a lot. It doesn't show the charger screen.
I don't have the charger with me, just the usb cable... :/
I'm on other island, where I'll stay until the end of the week...
So do you think that charging by USB it doesn't deliver the necessary power to boot the phone?
Thanks a lot!!
BTW, is the led turning green as soon as you connect it to the cable?

Yes!! On the begin it just blinks the red led, but in a few seconds it stabilize on the green one. Do you know what that means?
Take out battery
Hold powerbutton 30 sec
Insert battery
Connect it to the usb
Dont touch it at all and wait minimum 30 minutes
After 30 min, tap the homebutton.
Did it show the charging icon on display?
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium

I was able to find someone on the hotel with a micro-usb charger!! As you told, it worked like a charm!!

[Q] Nexus 7 shut down no response

I was streaming a movie through AllCast and halfway through, the tablet just shut down. I get no response when holding the power button in for 30 seconds, no battery icon when plugging in to the charging port. I do get a blue light from my Qi charger when I place it on the wireless pad. Device is running factory 5.0.1 image and is rooted with usb debbuging enabled. Might there be a way to do something through fastboot/ADB? Thanks in advance.

Charging problem-connected via device usb

Hello, so I'm on Android Q and recently having this issues. Tried multiple USB cable but nothing works.
The problem is that when I try to charge-plug USB, it won't automatically charge, instead I need to tap notification-"charging connected via device USB" and select 'thus device' then it starts charging.
The strange things is that when phone off, I could plug the charger and it works. I'm so fed up with this, also the 'charging connected via device usb' seems persistent and annoying
Anyone having this problem? Any suggestion?
Thanks!
You can set default USB activity in developer options. You can control the notification by pressing and holding it and turning notification off.
Thank you, what works for me was cleaning both USB and port with perfume.. thank you tho
