Best regards,
RaZ0Rfail

got it yesterday, no visible changes

luckily Sony always provides changelog in their newsletters!

@TGN, could you post the changelog here?
Just wondering if there is anything interesting in it and why it is not available simply on their web?
It might be useful for the previous fw versions too if you could dig some examples out.
Thanks.

Unless newsletters change according to country, i think he was ironic. Sony send you a mail telling you there is a new update and that's it, no changelog in there

@NaXter24R, I see, what a shame... thanks.

Yes, sorry.
Their communication is very poor.

Coming soon..
quote from the list of comments... do you think it will be with 2.2 ???
Comment 535 by [email protected], Today (2 hours ago)
Apologies, but I'm not permitted to disclose scheduling information - suffice to say
it's coming soon
Sorry for being vague, and thank you for your continued patience - I sincerely
appreciate it.
Happy friday
Sweeeeeeeet.
Awesome! So stupid it wasnt able to do so from the start
But don't Android updates take ages to be added to anything other than the nexus? So to add the update early you would need to root... in which case you could add apps2sd anyway. Or am I missing the point here?
they could make a general ota update as i see it but i a new android user and i might be mistaken if this is possible due to the htc sense overlay
Not yet but soon, we can enjoy straight updates from google, as they said they will try to reduce fragmentation, by allowing to update core features one by one, and not wait for all in one packages from manufacturers. So hopefully Froyo gonna give us really good things, and HTC wont screw up, like with hero update

Regarding 4.0.3 and future updates and news feeds

Is there a blog or RSS feed or something that I could follow to get updates about future Android versions?
I know that Chrome browser has a wonderful blog that details version updates and what features are added and what bugs are fixed, does something remotely similar exist for Android?
Maybe there are people that should be followed on Google+? Twitter feeds? Other related blogs?
Having Galaxy Nexus phone I am a lot more keen to stay up to date with Android version updates that may or may not also end up on my Android devices.

Hey, you are in the most comprehensive place for updates in my opinion. I get all my Android info right here and from some other sources like android headlines and android guys etc. The guys here very rarely miss anything. If you do find something official from Google or Samsung share it
I'd be interested in something like this too. Seems like every time I have a phone that doesn't get the OTAs because it's modded, I wind up with some paranoia that I don't have the latest version of Android. Would be nice to have an app or blog or something that I can go thru and instantly read "Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Current Version 4.02" instead of having to sift thru tons of posts and replies to find out what's actually official.
I believe that if you want to know the official thing, you should check here:
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html
I don't think that a 4.0.3 image will be published there before the OTA updates start to roll out... On the other hand, the updates might start to roll out and they might not publish the 4.0.3 image.
But, as said, I think here is the best place to check if anyone is getting any OTA updates.
Cheers. A little disappointed though, Google does such a wonderful job publishing version details and updates of Chrome browser. Android is such a mystery in comparison. I would always like to stay on top of things.
Think you're right. I'm pretty sure I saw a post somewhere from Jean-Baptiste Queru saying the image file would be posted only after the OTA push.

There is Android blog, but its updates are far less technical compared to Chrome blog that deals with version updates and features. Sometimes they cover some things on Android blog, but often they are focusing on less-technical matters. It covers more things that are already there rather than things under development and freshly released.
You can also follow @android on Twitter too, if you are into that.

So you want more technical.. here you go: http://developer.android.com/index.html
It's amazing what a little application of technology called "Google Search" will be able to find if you use it.

Did you read what has been posted in this thread before replying?
I did.
There is an abundance of technical information available for android, right down to the code itself.

I did not ask technical information about Android right down to the code itself. I already have that, I have developed for Android for more than a year.
I meant information about new version updates, problems and fixes. Something similar to what they have for Google Chrome.
4.0.2 sucks so laggy I want 4.0.3 now lol

[REQ] Older Maps Apk? The new one is AWFUL

Can someone be kind enough as to post a link to the latest Maps APK before it was updated to this hobbled, crippled piece of crap that it now is? Gone are the simple features like clicking on the address of a contact or using layers. I can't believe how badly they have crippled functionality.

Not sure if this is the newest one prior to v7.0 though.
Here's an XDA thread if you don't trust that link I posted above. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357873
Thanks a bunch for this Cares. Much appreciated. This is, indeed, the last version before it went to hell.

Looking for the same, but no luck ;^(
Hot on the trail of the elusive AT&T Note 7 SM-N930A "Green Battery" ROM! Getting close, please stand by...
Oh, and just to be clear, the N930AUCS1APH1_N930AATT1APH1_ATT_FULL_SAMFIRM.NET ROM will NOT work if you already had the Green Battery ROM installed.
It will only work if you had the original stock ROM.
Eureka! I found and belled the Cat! Er "green Bat-tery ROM for the SM-N930A!
(Files are dated October 2016. Have already SS and Odin'ed the firmware and all is well in the universe once more!)
Can I post the link here? Or is this against site policy?

Mind if I get that link too? Thanks!
Link sent. Make sure to backup your phone (I used Samsung Smart Switch) before proceeding to update via Odin.
Oh, and don't forget to install a firewall after updating - to block unwanted app or package activity
I use Grey Shirts - NoRoot Firewall
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...firewall&hl=en
And don't forget Package Disabler Pro 6.3 (important) - There are many links here to the apk as well as info on which packages to block.
I actually bought the latest version of the app so that it was registered (and supports the dev - only $1.49 ;^), then uninstalled and installed 6.3.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ablerpro&hl=en
PS I tell friends that ask why I keep this phone and don't turn it in? (1) Turn it it in for what? There is no S8 or Note 8 (2) Imagine buying a BMW i8 (or any car) that had recalls and the car company sent an OTA that crippled the car slowing it down to a crawl while spamming a dash message telling you to pull over to the side of the road? There would be outrage since from the consumer's perspective ITS THEIR CAR!

All, how goes the updates? Must be going well since haven't seen any help posts. Oh, anyone else also notice no further SMS messages from the carrier since the OTA 60% battery Nerf was sent? That seem to suggest that the update (at least this one) was coming from the operator and not Samsung directly (ex. "check that IMEI off the SMS spam list, we already sent the OTA battery Nerf to it"). This means that ppl should make sure to include the carrier update package blocks when they use Package Disabler Pro 6.3 (and NoRoot Firewall - which really needs to be updated). As a matter of fact, can we post some carrier specific Package Disabler Pro 6.3 screen snaps of what ppl have blocked?

Unfortunately I've already upgraded to 12 beta and can't grab the zip anymore.
The biggest change I'm loving is how much slicker it is when resizing split screen apps....the apps get blurred and stretch when you resize the split handle....and slowly come back into focus with the new split layout....looks incredibly polished

I hope someone else is able to capture it. I have a Pixel phone and have been playing with Android 12 and LOVE it, I cannot wait to see it on the Fold.
Will the update.zip file work on any variant i am in the UK on n o2 handset. I tried to flash the unbranded firmware from Sammobile but it wouldn't take.
