Warp Charge Power Bank - OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories

Is it just me or would you gladly buy a decent sized power bank from OP if it supported warp charging?

Partial. Only 5v/3A. 15W max.
I will try QC 4.0 with 5V/4.5A tomorrow.

Hey guys,
On the OnePlus Community forum there was this announcement from a few weeks ago:
https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/whats-your-take-on-a-portable-power-bank.1029319/
From what I've seen of OnePlus, an announcement like this to gather feedback is a pretty strong indication that a device will come but at the very least they are strongly considering it!

Any luck with QC4.0?

So.....anyone tried out some power banks?

If you can get ahold of the Oppo SuperVOOC power bank, that’s their version of Warp Charging

I found this one.,you can try !

Build one using the car adapter.

Just got the Sdoutech dash charger for the OnePlus 7 pro. I like how the charger itself supports dash charger. Please see attached for photos.

For 36 dollars that's 10,000 mah at 5v 4amps. To get wrap charge its 5v 5amps

How?

I looked it up. You will need find a board that has usb end that can output 5v 5amps. Then you need find batteries that can push 30watts and wire them in series directly to this board. That's what basically what power banks are under the shell. The other option is get a much bigger power bank for like 100 dollars that you can plug into

Hmmm explain this like your 5 and have don't have google? No
But I will point you in the right direction. Google "3s 18650 powerbank" Use the power adapter guts and a 3s battery balencer. And there you go. If your going small get high discharge 18650 like the brown LG H2. Also wanna be careful of fakes they are as bad or worse than the micro SD card knock offs. Good luck have fun!

Noo. Waiiit.
Go to Amazon. Type in "powerbank for Chromebook."
Chromebook type C chargers should, whether wall or portible chargers/power bank , will give a very fast charge as well. I used my Chromebook type C charger all the time for my Note 9. It charged it like three times faster than Samsung OEM charger. Even with fast charging turned off.
I expect any Chromebook charger will do the same for my OneOlus 7 pro.
Build one???? ?

I've got a Baseus, 20000 mah, 18w max, 3a max, QC 3.0, PD. Power Bank have digital display.
I use the red USB-2 (QC 3.0, PD), that it's described to have 3a, if you use it alone. But it charges with 1,3a. In Usb-1, the normal one same, 1,3a .
Price 28.81$

Lighter Anker PowerCore+ II 10000 and 20000 Coming Soon! (with Power Delivery)

Recently I am looking for a portable power bank with USB type C for my Pixel 2 XL. These currently available with PD are too big (26800) for the phone. I find a news today about new coming Anker PowerCore+ II 10000 mAH and 20000 mAh with PD and probably by Dec., I think it's worthwhile to wait for that:

Power Delivery is a fast charging standard for USB-C. It's what the Pixel uses for fast charging. That's why it's important.

From my understanding.. PD is important as it is a safety feature on them to make sure it doesn't burn out your phone like the previous generous did. So even if you had a bad/cheap wire it would limit it from doing any real damage to your phone. So with the PD if you notice it isn't charging as fast it is due to the wire not being good enough to output that amp.
That is from what i read. if i'm wrong please correct me.
Thanks.

Main problem with those is they're all huge 20k mAh banks. If he wants that capacity then okay but the one I recommended is compact yet can still charge just as fast as the wall charger because the phone has been capped at 10.5 watts anyway. Although, post 8.1 update it has been ever so slightly faster for the first 60 minutes. I don't have meter readings but my percentages show some improvement.

The Aukey I linked is cheaper at $29.99 and does charge at the same rate as the OEM wall charger.
Just got it and I can confirm that it charges rapidly. This thing is the size of a Nexus 5 but a bit thicker. It definitely is heavy but charging it is done thru the same usb-c port with which you charge your phone.
Really nice design too with nonslip PC type coating.

I guess the only things are the Pixel 2 XL is capped at 10.5w still. That may not be true anymore with Android 8.1 as it seems to be just a little faster than prior to the update. Also, Aukey's is $10 cheaper.
is anyone using the ZMI 10 from Xiaomi?

Magnetic Chargers

So I have been ordering different magnetic chargers for the 7 Pro but I haven't been able to find one that supports warp charge or even dash charge.
Does NOT Warp/Dash charge:
1. Volta original and XL
2. KRIPT
3. SIKAI original
4. Digital Ant Gen-X
5. Smart&Cool GenX
6. ELECJET MagJet
7. UGI
8. TOPK
9. NetDot
10. Any generic round ones that go by the name "Magnetic"
11. Soclim
12. USLION
13. FLOVEME
14. MBK
15. Yichumy
Basically any round one or any of them that doesn't support at least 5A
Warp/Dash Charge Compatible and data transfer+android auto:
1. Volta 2.0 from Amazon ($26 ships from US, same cable as SIKAI just more than twice the price )
2. SIKAI 5A from Amazon ($10.99 Ships from USA, Same cable as the Volta 2.0)
SIKAI 5A from Aliexpress ($4.49 Ships from China)
3. SIKAI 5A with wireless charger pad from Amazon ($20.99 ships from US)
4. Wsken (note you have to order both the plug from Amazon and inserts from Amazon) ($11.99 for plus and $12.99 for 2 inserts)
5. Generic From Alibaba ($1.70 from China, unconfirmed but looks identical to Volta and SIKAI 5A)
6. Generic Docking Station from Alibaba ($4.50 each and $4.49 for shipping from China, unconfirmed but made by the same manufacturers as Volta and SIKAI and the above generic one)
7. SIKAI Docking Station from Amazon ($12.99 ships from US)
SIKAI Docking Station from Aliexpress ($8.79 from China)
8. 20 pin generic ebay ($13.56 from China)
20 pin from Amazon ($25 from US)
It looks like if the cable supports 5A and/or Huawei Supercharge it will support warp but unconfirmed. One interesting thing to note, with some of my non-oem dash chargers it didn't recognize dash charger. It only worked with OEM and TITACUTE. Which I found interesting.

I just got one from Amazon. The problem is that while it's charging fine, it does not do Warp Charging. That's bad because when you need the warp charge for a quick charge you have to fiddle out the connector. Looking for a higher power charger, like the ones for laptops.

Any idea if that works with warp?
Does anyone know of a magnetic charge adapter that does not stick out so much? I have one but would love one that does not stick out and is flush with my case.
Apparently warp charging needs the original cable to work. This adapter attached to the original cable is supposed to work

I didn't get one yet because it looks like it's sticks out more than the one I have that doesn't do warp. But I may cave and get one . I charge my phone over night so now I'm going to check to see how slow it charges so I can compare

Hmm I wonder why it didn't work for me. Maybe the cable?
I've seen several guys in Oneplus FB groups swear the Volte 2.0 does Dash. The Amazon listing for it says it transmits @ 5A, so that gels.
All the OEM Dashes from years past are doimg Warp.
My Titicute Dash cables I bought last year I can atest do Warp.
Volte 2.0 seems a safe bet. Worth giving a chance.

Did you test the original Oneplus cable that came with phone to Warp charge @joshuadjohnson22 ?
Seems a silly question, but I did notice something the day I got my phone and tested things:
For some reason I expected Warp charging to show up as green on my Ambient Display. Dash has always showed up blue and regular chargers white.
When I plugged in factory 7P cable, it was only blue. Nothing telling me what kind of charge.
It wasn't till I had the phone in lock screen that the Warp indicator showed up. ?*

Multiple over-current, over-voltage protection.
The only strange issue is there was no cable included so I had to order one also.

Yes I know. Tried my last oneplus charger displays "superVOOC", but that's not SuperVOOC 2.0! It has a huge difference in charging speed.

Hey mate, i'm looking at getting this too. Did you have to buy the official USB C cable for it to work? I can't work out what the requirements are for the cable in order to get SuperVOOC 2.0 speeds. Just curious as i bought a standard USB C cable (one in the box is too short IMO) and although I had it plugged into the SV2.0 charger I couldn't get it to charge at SV2.0 speeds
The cable has to be the official one, because it's the only one that has [email protected] Most other cables have 5A. I also looked in China but couldn't find any that has these specs, yet.
I have also bought this charger and it is Super Vooc charger, meaning it is not 2.0 version, I use it with original cable, but the speed difference is not huge, it still charges fast enough.

hello
have a nice day
I have some advice for UK residents.
The SuperVOOX car charger its only 7.99 pounds in the OPPO official website, but it seems to be permanently out of stock.
Now, accidentally I found they are selling a bundle of the supervooc car charger + supervooc cable for 18 pounds, I think it´s a great deal so I bought it last weekend and it should arrive soon, heres the link:
https://oppomobiles.co.uk/car-kit.html
The funny thing with this is that the bundle is not listed in the web in the accessories or in any other part, you can only find it if you search for something related like "car" or "supervooc"
I also chatted with them asking about the car charger being out of stock and they didnt tell me about this bundle...

Great find. I’ve just bought a OnePlus 8 Pro wich supports WarpCharge 30T. This is the same as VOOC 4.0 I believe and they are both 5v @ 6A = 30W. Would this charger and cable charge my 8 Pro at 30W? Many thanks in advance.

not sure if it will be any good but the reviews of the product seem to indicate that it is in fact the real deal, i personally need the super fast charging as i drive since it takes me 30 minutes to get to work super fast charging would be ideal.
anyway i have decided to buy an inverter for the car to use the one that came with the phone for now, but it would be nice to have a proper car charger without all the extra mess them wires are going to be making.
USB type-C cables don't have to be OEM but they do have to be the right standard (& the standards get added to frequently so get an up-to-date cable), Qualcom PD/QC is much more common than Mediatek VOOC & they work in completely different ways.
VOOC pulses the power wires to communicate between charger/cable/phone (all 3 have chips) whereas PD/QC communicates via the data wires.
The result of this communication is different too, VOOC leaves the line at 5V & just changes the current [Edit]it seems SuperVOOC can also select 10V[/Edit] but PD/QC selects between various Voltage/current combinations & can get up to 20V.
If communication fails completely the charger defaults to 5V & max 2.1A with the phone deciding how much current to draw.
The previous micro-USB fast-charge standard is different again, it uses a plain cable & just communicates between phone & charger to select 2.4A, 3.1A or 4.2A vs the default max 2.1A

So, any feedback or review?
yes apologies i completely forgot to let people know, so basically the item works well and the phone tells me it is charging at super vooc 2.0 speeds, however I've used the app ampere and its definitely not as fast as the wall plug version but is certainly fast enough, also I'm not using the stock cable that came with the phone as that didn't seem to work very well with the charger so instead I'm using another one of my cables which is a volutz cable, i wasn't actually aware it would work since i bought it for another phone but seems to work really well, so all in all i would highly recommend the charger as it seems to be the best option for on the go and is certainly cheap enough.

25w third party charger

Hi,
what is the cheapest and best 25w third party charger for the SE 5G?
Any recommendations? Some links to amazon?
Kind regards
Oliver Benduhn
I got the Samsung 25W charger on Amazon for around $12. It came without Samsung packaging so I was sort of skeptical not to mention the price so my expectations were somewhat guarded. Came in generic packaging. Hooked it up and it works just like a legit Sammy charger. Sometimes you get lucky i guess.

65W, there are 2 USB-c plugs and a USB-a plug, 30 euros. There is a USA version 2
I just got a ugreen 30w charger, works nice.

When charging with a 30W charger the S20 FE should say "super fast charging" instead of the normal "fast charging". If it doesn't then there's something wrong with your adapter/cable.

No. 30w is not 25w. It must support the appropriate specs of the 25w pd that Samsung uses. It's the same reason you can't just plug it into a 85w macbook pro charger and expect super fast charging just because 85w is a bigger number than 25w.

You can use a 30W charger on a device that supports a maximum of 25W, you can't do vice versa.

The stock cable that comes with the phone supports 15W. Use an aftermarket cable that supports 25W or above.

I'm not saying you can't charge it with a 30W. Just that 30w doesn't necessarily mean super fast charge is supported. Also "vice versa"... you sure can charge a 30w device with a 25w charger, since almost all modern devices have variable rate logic that allow a slower charge after they negotiate on a rate.

I haven't attracted enough hate this week so allow me to throw in this thought to you all.
the higher the amperage a lithium battery is charged with, the faster that cell will "age"!
consider the inconvenience Samsung has bestowed upon you as a blessing. if you are careful and never run your battery flat, never leave it at fully charged for long periods or sitting on a charger overnight at full, you can lose fewer of the cycles that are your batteries lifespan. charging with less current helps with this too. heat is your batteries enemy and fast charging creates more of it.
you might say "why would phone manufacturers produce chargers that would damage batteries over time ?" it doesn't hurt them if you buy a new phone sooner because the battery is weak. they'd prefer that than you getting 4 years life from a phone.
if you're a tight fisted miser like me you'll want your shiny new toys to last as long as feasible... that is all.

This is 100% exactly why the do it.
Fast charging is a nice marketing point to brag about to sell their device NOW, not for it to last months and years in the future.
This is the same reason why we don't have removable batteries anymore... Why would Samsung sell you a $30 replacement battery when they can sell you a $700+ replacement phone or even warranty repair for $120 at worst.
