Kernel sources for Redmi 7 [onc] released! - Xiaomi Redmi 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

The kernel sources for our beloved device Redmi 7 [onc] has been released on MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource! The code is not on master yet and a stable rollout is expected by the end of this month. Hurrah! Finally we can begin development for this all-rounder device. So get your development machines ready - here's the kernel source. Once the onc-p-oss is merged into master from the separate branch, we can be sure about some great development for this device.
Let's make this device great! Cheers!

[PROJECT] Sailfish OS on Galaxy Nexus

Here we go, after seeing the first porting of Sailfish OS on a Nexus 4
we thought (me and mugna91) that it would be possible the same on Galaxy Nexus.
For who don't know what we are talking about, here a video
It should be quite simple since Jolla pioneered the ability to use existing Android hardware adaptations
with the libhybris project and the first Jolla device is built upon an
Android hardware adaptation (but is not Android, just uses the hardware adaptation).
Here the GitHub sources needed to accomplish the objective:
https://github.com/mer-hybris
https://github.com/libhybris/libhybris
https://github.com/sledges/hybris-boot
if any developer would like to engage the project we are ready to make donations!

this is official development (by crdroid), zuhoyang's is unofficial.
btw @davidteri91 I think your vendor repo contains buggy blobs for sensors (proximity) on rhine - it does not work. fix: https://github.com/zhuoyang/vendor-sony-blobs/commit/8768bbbf544fc4e2ea992631938e4a82dc8ac2c2

Here ya go!
Also Camera FCs, but that's a known issue for AOSP. That's in the logcat as well.
Power + VolUP doesn't work?? Red button doesn't work either. And I'm in a bootloop atm
EDIT: Hard reset is by holding power button for about 10 secs.
EDIT2: WiFi works when flashing zhuoyang's AOSP kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/rom-crdroid-t3274974.
For me hard reset is after 15 or 20 sec

Just saying , I did give credit to the author , both in the commit and in the thread.
And also WiFi didn't works is because of SELinux, It works if it's built permissive.

I know what you mean but he's focus on AOSP and trying to get all working from scratch without depending on MIUI libraries. In theory it will work but I'm not completely sure.

Wonder if it's the same as the one from late Dec. I'll try it later today
It seems the same. Same build.
Is this the official global rom?
If no just delete the thread because there is already the same rom and people get confused.

Someone else will just post it again, seems to be a problem with XDA Xiaomi users where they can't search before posting. This the 3rd one now I think.
