[Fire HD 7 newest] Pushbullet pushes not incoming - Fire Themes and Apps

As stated in the title. When I send a push to my Fire it doesnt appear in the notifications. I need to open the pushbullet app, and then I get the notification, which is really annoying. Any way to fix this?

pushbullet uses google firebase cloud messaging.
you do not have google mobile services

Control over push notifications

Hi,
I just got a tablet next to my Gnex, and i am trying to find the best way to avoid double notifications when at home, on both the phone and the tablet.
I have realised (and pls tell me if it's not true) that even if I disable sync, this applies only to google services (calendar, gmail, ecc.) and not to whatsapp and facebook.
I could disable the whole data connection (and wifi) but then I won't be able to receive whatsapp messages (I found out I can't have the same number configured on both tablet and phone, so I kept whatsapp on phone only).
So in practice, when at home, I would like to have the tablet fully in sync with google services and receiving facebook and twitter push notifications, and the phone receiving only whatsapp messages: the only way i found so far is to disable google sync and then go into twitter and facebook settings and disble push from there.
Do you know of any other way?
Well, I don't have a tablet so I'm kinda useless on real solutions, but you could use Tasker to automate the process you're doing now by making a profile that activates when your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi.

Click to collapse
yeah, the tablet part is not actually important and only half of the story.
What i really need is a program that allows me to record a sort of macros, so that with the press of a button I can: [1] disable google sync [2] open facebook and disable push notifications [3] same for twitter
The real problem here is to find a tasker-like app that allows me to automate apps

[Q] How can i enable the balloon notification counter above app icons ?

I tried to send an email, send facebook messengers from my clone and it works on notification bar but nothing show above my app icons. So, I miss almost every mail, fb message...
Anyone know how to enable this ?
The Amazon FireOS mail box works perfect but i'm using mailbox from dropbox
It seems that it's up to the app developer to integrate it.
Facebook messenger hasn't got a counter, but whatsapp and Skype have. Standard email has a counter, but other clients have not. It's a bit of a nightmare, I agree, but something that needs to be done by the developer of the app I'm afraid...

Notifications when app NOT RUNNING

Have 3.6.8, unlocked, Google play installed.
Most of the programs, when are not open, will not display any notifications.
Example: if someone sends me a skype message when skype on my phone is not open, I will not know about this message until I open skype.
If skype is running, then notifications go through just fine. So I have to keep skype, viber, whatsapp, hangout, tapatalk open.
On the other hand, Facebook chat and Gmail app will always get notifications through, even if they are not running.
I checked notification settings, everything is turned on.
Any help?
Using another launcher does this
I had the same problem without custom launcher....
Why would Gmail and Facebook chat go through and nothing else? Even Facebook doesnt go through, just chat.
What I found also is, when I restrart the phone and send skype message to it, it goes through. Once I open and close skype... nada. But this is only for skype, hangouts, whatsapp, viber, tapatalk are still no-no....
I only use whatsapp and viber..the launcher was the issue..im not sure about other apps

[Q] Can't open Google Inbox attachments

I recently got the Fire Phone and installed Google Play and all my apps from there. Everything went surprisingly well, the only issue I see is the inability to view attachments through Google Inbox. The Gmail app displays them without an issue, but Inbox does not nor can I see the thumbnails of pictures in the inbox view. Is anyone else having this issue? What version of Inbox are you using if you're not seeing this problem? I'm running 4.6.1 with Google Now launcher. Thanks for the help.
I too would like an answer to this. Unfortunately though Inbox is not available for schools which would let me see my school gmail. I do like fire phones email app with integrated inbox which allows me to view multiple accounts in one inbox.
Notification don't seem to work either
I see there weren't many replies... After a few more days of using it, I realized the notifications are not working either. Even though I have notifications enabled on both Inbox and Gmail, I never get notifications (I should say almost never, I saw them a couple of times). The only way I get notified for emails is if I enable the local Email app which I don't really want to use.
My question is, has anybody gotten Inbox and/or Gmail to work reliably with notifications? If you did, did the attachments show up in Inbox? I just want to know if it's worth spending more time trying to get this to work.

[Q] How to Greenify Asus Email (exchange) and get notifications

Hi,
I already have Xposed with the greenify donation version with the gcm notifications on.. But for some odd reason I can't get email notifications on the Asus Email app for my Exchange Server... Facebook, whatsapp and the like are notifying as usual but not the email app... Any work around this? Or any 3rd party client that you would suggest which I could use instead..
