That version is very old. You did not get any software updates yet?

Im currently running the ASE2 ( may match ) and it is running real smooth and fast. No lags or anything of that sort.

I had the same issue regarding no new updates as i had XSG csc , i would suggest you to flash INS (INDIA) firmware through ODIN ( wont brick or tip knox ) . I flashed the INS firmware through odin and got software update to ASE2 (MAY security patch).

This phone is slow as hell, worst buy ever

have you tried searching for roms at sammobile? updates rolling out there and there's android 10 rom too

https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a50/firmware/#SM-A505FN is a better place to grab firmwares, there are a few france options, but none that are marked as SFR that i can see.

You can update manually to Android 10 with oddin.
Install this rom, its official.

Which Stock Samsung Kit Kat ROM without Knox & with root do you all recommend?
Must be stable since I'll be using this phone abroad for months and I don't want to have to keep flashing a ROM often.:good:
I just want it to "work" and not have to worry about anything.

Samsung Service update?

Got this notification on my wife's phone a couple days ago and was wondering if anyone else has too. I have been waiting for a root exploit and have not accepted build updates or security updates just in case. If anyone has any info they would like to share I would greatly appreciate it! I didn't see the question asked already and have never received this on any previous phones, thanks again!

I believe this is only the Samsung billing app update or the sign in app. I was getting this on the S5 I had and it didn't affect root. It can be reverted by flashing the stock tar so I wouldn't be worried about it.
Thanks for the responses, I'm gonna take it, if I get any ill effects I'll report back ☺
I took it, too. Pretty sure it's only for a Samsung app.
---------- Post added at 07:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:54 PM ----------
Yepp. It's just for the app. If you turn Samsung Account off, it makes you uninstall the update, and as soon as I turned it back on and tried to download a new camera mode, the notification to update came right back.

Does this kernel bootloop?

From the title, it should be obvious you should make a backup before trying.
This is just a test to see if the supposed patch to unify TMO and SPR source works.

Alright. Thanks. I figured it wasn't going to get much further but at least that answers the question of whether it was possible to use the Tmo source.

Fair enough. . I'm just glad to see more devs actually working on our device. It wasn't shown much love. I'm assuming most went to the s5 or the like? I seriously miss them. :-/ I hope more devs surface! Then I can hang up my attempts and let the pros show me how its done.
Hats off to you. I admire the work that goes into this stuff!

[App] Smart Manager for KitKat 4.4.X

Few days ago I came across a Note 2 Korean variant (SHV-E250K) which was updated to the latest stock firmware (4.4.2 - E250KKTUKOH4) where I found SmartManager for KitKat
So I extracted the app, lib files & tried them on a DN4 (4.4.4) ROM & it worked fine. :victory:
Thought some of you might like to try this on your devices. So here I am sharing it with my favorite community. :highfive:
So far I have tested this on a N7105 Custom ROM(4.4.2), S3 DN4 ROM(4.4.4) & Grand Prime Stock ROM (4.4.4). So I guess this will work on any TouchWiz device running 4.4 - 4.4.4 :good:

Which firmware to flash on a S20+?

Hi guys,
I have an unlocked S20+ 4G Exynos. When I search for my CSC on sammobile, I get nothing. It's SEE?
Which firmware can I download and flash? I'm also coming back from 3.0 Beta 1. Will I lose my data downgrading?
Thanks a lot!

Welp, now I'm not sure if it's the right one.
My build number ends with: G985FXXU5ZTJA
My Service provider SW ver. Ends with SEE/SEE,SEE/EUY/SEE.
What confuses me is that mine is FXXU and the SEE firmware you linked is FXXS.
Is that safe to do or do I actually need a different firmware?

Make sure you use CSC (not HOME_CSC) while flashing the firmware to reset the phone or it won't boot
