LineageOS 15.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:

* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*
LineageOS 15.1 is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS 15.1 is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Bug reporting:
Before the report make sure that you've installed the latest build of the ROM.
Explain the bug in details and, if possible, methods to reproduce it.
For most issues, you should attach the logcat.
Random reboots? Please upload last_kmsg immediately after the kernel crash.
Note: I will only be providing builds once every month and when new security patches come in. I don't have enough time to be making them every week. Latest build provided should have the June 2019 security patches. These builds should be pure Lineage based builds and they have not been tested so if you could give me feedback i would appreciate it. Please download the latest version of ARM64 OpenGapps and flash along with the ROM to be able to use the play store and other google related services. Also make sure you are using latest twrp recovery. If you want to root i recommend flashing and using Magisk 19.4. Enjoy and i hope you appreciate my pure Lineage 15.1 Unofficial builds for Flounder.

Thank you so much for your kind words it really mean a lot to me I always love to at least try to make new ROMs for you all. Unfortunately i took apart my nexus 9 and i ended up breaking the motherboard so i can't test these ROMS but hopefully soon i will try to fix my nexus 9 and have it working again i just don't know when. So if you could test my ROMs and give me feedback i would appreciate it

wrong thread oops

Many thanks! Does this ROM support video HW acceleration?

i'm also here to test.i will be willing to flash this to my Nexus 9 LTE which is not doing anything at the moment and would like to have some oreo love or pie love.
---------- Post added at 04:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:17 PM ----------
sure will these rom builds work on a nexus 9 LTE as well.i will test as i dont use the nexus 9 lte that much. would like to have a newer build of lineage on the nexus 9 lte.

This ROM encrypted the device and asking for a password in the TWRP after a BL.

Thank-you so much for this ROM. I really wanted to get a little more lifetime out of my N9 while I wait for something suitable to replace it, and Android 7 just wasn't cutting it any longer when all my other devices have moved on.
FYI, I have the LTE version and so far I've had no issues, except for one shutdown while the tablet was idle overnight, though at first I forgot to wipe the system partition before applying the ROM and it just boot-looped.
I did notice that after using it for about an hour the front near the top or left (depending on how you hold it), was extremely hot - I'd been watching some YouTube videos but before this ROM it had never been as hot as this time.
Still, please keep up the updates for as long as you can.

I just installed the rom and tried if HW video acceleration works. It doesnt.
Youtube plays videos, but quite shaky due to CPU.
Netflix quits when trying to play something with error code 5.8.
Maybe it would be helpful to make a note of it in the first post?

Those 2 things have nothing to do with hw acceleration. Nougat has no issues with hardware acceleration. That's only in Oreo and up.
Edit: my mistake. Late night reading

we are going to update has the latest version that I have not updated for months

Finally got around to looking into this. I Extracted RR, disabled forceencrypt, added the blobs, and wholla! Looks like we have hw accel (sort of, that thread you linked said there were still some apps it didn't work in).
All I did to test it was youtube. With the official build (no hw accel), youtube was fine when it was in the foreground. But when it was minimized into the mini window in the corner, it got laggy.
With the new blobs, it all works smoothly (and the rom in general seems a little bit smoother.
@sixohtew I slapped this build together . If you don't want it here or drop another official build with the new blobs and such, I'll take this down.
Here it is: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=962339331459001370
I built it with superr's kitchen so build number will say 'built with rr' or whatever but it's still the 20180423 build.
It worked with the latest official opengapps nano too. Not sure if that's on their end or what but a double win for me
On second thought, it'd be easier just to make a zip to add the blobs rather than have to download that modified rom so now you have 2 options. Either use the modded rom above, or just flash the official one from the OP and then flash this zip after (you'll still need to flash the modified forceencrypt enabler several posts back in this case)

Thanks! Though I think this might be posted in the wrong section.
Did u edited anything? Like i was getting error 7 in twrp on my builds.
Good grief people, you're nuts for flashing this rom. Have fun with your bricked phones. The OP needs to do some reading on XDA rules as well. ROMs belong in the rom thread, not here. If this is your first post on here, you're insane.
Looks legit for me, installs nicely and i dont see any strange things.
Edit: never mind

Thanks bro i will compile new build.
This rom seems to work but as always be careful of what you flash. always have an exit plan.
OP if you continue to support this unofficial build we will be happy to move it to development. Just let one of us know.
Looking forward to this rom good work man 5 stars from me.
Only if I had the time to build nightlies ... haha
But does this ROM have the issue of front camera only going up to 4MP? I'm a bit stuck with this issue though....

Yes it also has the max 4MP front camera issue. Except that this is a unified ROM, it is pretty much the same as yours.
@koenkk Have you done a minimum testing on this?
We know about issues with CM-based roms with rear camera going green of corce closing, dash charging not working and seldom bluetooth issue with in car hands free.

I use these roms as my daily driver. Before releasing a nightly I first install it on my device to check if no strange things happen. But ofcourse CM14.1 is still not stable so it will contain bugs.

Thanks a lot and keep on you work.
I think giving ota support is not a big deal, check out packages_apps_cmupdater from sultan's git and cmupdater-api. Now, there are already 2 threads regarding cm-14.1, so I don't wanna make a seperate thread with OTA support enabled. So, please do try to look at it once.

Agree, looking into the possibilities
If i pair the 3t with my car hands free, the dialer force closes even with no call.
If I call it force closes immediately.
I cannot pair the 3t with my BT keyboard: it used to work with RR.

Reporting Bugs
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

First First! @lilferraro Congrats on this new Rom! Let's keep the best device ever ALIVE!!!
Thanks! Do we need specific baseband? I am on pj1.
edit - I am trying it out, will let you know.
Edit2 - so far so good. Will test LTE when I go into the city, but 3g connected, and cell service. WiFi didn't auto reconnect when I left and came back to the house, but that was once. Thanks.
Does this work on QB3?
Most excellent! Which gapps should we use?

ROM is working great so far. I had one weird issue of seeing "emergency calls only" on the notification bar for about 30 minutes but disappeared after a few reboots. I could see that I was connected to Sprint the whole time though.
no internet connection, ive tried several apns {im on tpo mobiles sprint service} i did a prl and profile update before flashing and everything worked fine then, also did a clean flash.
Have had a couple soft reboots since last night. I'm guessing its got to do with the Emotion kernel since I experienced the same thing with that ROM.
Daily SM-N910P Builds
I've been compiling daily builds for both trltexx and trltetmo for the past few days. I've decided to add the Sprint variant of our beloved phablet to my build environment. This way trltespr users can also benefit from non-device-specific commits merged on a daily basis, in addition to lilferraro's changes.

1. This isn't really my ROM, just daily iterations of lilferraro's code and the community's daily commits. I'm just contributing my processing power. Full credit to lilferraro and whoever's sources he forked his from.
2. How do you know I didn't get permission?
3. In my experience, daily commits from the community do make a noticeable difference, sometimes from day to day.
4. Feel free to disregard my builds, but I'm sure some people would be interested for the sake of everyone's benefit.
Working on qa1 thank you for your efforts!
First thank you for keeping Note 4 active. First day so I'm still running the phone through its paces. One odd thing, when I select restart from power menu, while it appears that the phone will restart, it does not. Instead it powers off. Any ideas?
Great to see more current development on this device! Thanks @lilferraro
I recently was trying to learn building from source. I keep getting stuck getting my local manifest to work. Some day when i get time, I'd like to get some advice.
Thanks!

This build uses the f500k kernel sources and v29 blobs.
That means that it uses latest available kernel and blobs.
The difference between gensixx's unofficial and this is that this uses Titan kernel and kessaras's device tree sources.

New location of last_kmesg is: /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops. So the command is now:
Code:
cat /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops-0 > /storage/emulated/0/last_kmsg.txt
If you want just to take logcat in the system, you can use apps from this article.
For camera I recommend using Google camera with hdr+ from here https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
I use Arnova's 5.1.014_v9.1 with this config:
Model: Pixel XL(Corr)
Config camera hdr+: Nexus 6
HDR plus parameters: high.
You can play with these parameters and compare the photos to get the settings most suitable for you.

Well I wanted to build a LOS as we do not have LOS maintainer any more. And with kasseras help I was able to compile it. This is my first rom that I ever built. It uses kessaras's device tree and kernel. I will try to contribute as much as I can as I am able to debug and fix bug's. For example trying to find why the play store refuses to install some apps took quite time for us.
But I am writing my diploma thesis now so I do not have that much time.

Good luck with your thesis and with your future career. Toó as ROM máster
Just wanted to explicitly say thank you to @tulen_kobi for taking your time to do this! I'm very used to LOS, and this runs perfectly, at least for two days now. I switched from official LOS (20p, official kernel etc.) and I can also say battery life is much better, though that's likely due to Titan primarily.
And of course thank you @kessaras for your continuing development, it's good to see the Play Store issue is gone (in app purchases also work without any hiccups now). This is now my daily driver. Very happy to get to keep my G4 still up to date
No issues, no logcats!
Hello. Correct me if Iäm wrong.
Missing features on this ROM: NFC, FMRadio.

FM radio and there is a new discovered bug that system camera does not save the video taken, any other camera app can do it fine.
I hope they will fix the save video taken problem, as I'm used to use the stock camera app. I tried Camera-FV5, but it's not so good looking and the interface Is ugly and not user friendly imo.

You can install Snapdragon camera as another app and then it will work.
Edit: it does not try OpenCamera from play store as we are trying to figure out why it is not working.

I see what you mean. Have the same error, I didn't notice before since I didn't record with heavy focus changes.
But there is another issue: If AWB is not on automatic on google camera, the preview goes insane while focusing and flickers a lot.
Thank you so mych for the work.
Do you think that I could dirty flash your ROM from genesixx 's build?

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

PIE-h930/h93210-h930
-The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
-It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
-If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)

Bugs on Android 10 and their solution:
1. Hotspot only works on open i.e. no security
2. Wifi may or May not work for you
If it doesn't work then try:-
1. Flash oreo modem
2. If oreo modem doesn't work then use this fix: https://t.me/LGV30U/150
even both these steps may not fix the wifi for some.
3. Recent Google Maps doesn't work, use Google maps go or older google maps version like 10 or .84
4. Google chrome works only on Gapps with Webview patched like Nikgapps
5. Doesn't work on H932 yet, no workaround for that.

You need to use gcam the one built into rom doesn't work.
Finally butter smoothness!!
I've been using it for about 24 hours now and I really like it. With all of my usual apps installed, I'm not experiencing any lag that I experience with other ROMs. So far so good. ME LIKEY!!

@tech_infinity, I've linked this list in my ROOT STICKY GUIDE to let people know before they update to stock Pie just to run Android 10 ROMs -- then wish they hadn't, because for now they may still want to run LOS-16 ROMs? If you are keeping an updated list of issues/solutions besides here, let me know and I'll link that instead.
I know no one reads sticky guides anyway, but still we can't say we didn't try to tell them.

You can always replicate it somewhere else if you wish, and I'll change the link to wherever you want.
This thread is fine -- but some day you may wish to start a dedicated "Android 10" ROMs Tips/Guide thread. That is the future and while I can answer some general ROM questions, you are the expert on various V30 custom ROMs.

Yeah that's a good idea, thought had crossed my mind especially with so many people using aosp ROMs with incorrect firmware or incorrect kernel then reporting problems.
Haha, far from an expert but I try. Thanks :fingers-crossed:
I'll start thinking about an Android 10 or AOSP Tips/Guide thread and make it in some time.
I'll also keep a post exclusively about bugs on that thread and then you can link that:fingers-crossed:

Awesome! Gonna try this out. Does would re-enabling the h264 plugin make Plex play back smoothly? I don't use video in-browser really but do stream with Plex app a lot, and the tablet couldn't handle 1080p video while on pixel experience
Thanks @michie. Great built! I installed it 2 weeks ago and everything works well. Much faster than LOS!

I will create a flashable addon to re-enable the codec. Will post it together with the august security patch!
Uploaded a new build with UI performance improvements, fixed led bar behavior etc. No new security patch out yet yesterday and as Android 13 is uploaded AOSP this will be the next build I will be working on. Will post a flashable zip for enabling H264 decoder this evening.

Once more, thank you! I installed that new build without any problems and the UI does seem more responsive. I would recommend it to everyone looking to bring their Pixel C into the 2020s and benefit all the goodies that 12L offers! awesome work!
Looking forward to that H264 patch and your upcoming Android 13 build!
I've been using this ROM for a while now, works pretty well, seems to be running a lot better than the Pixel Experience ROM I was running previously. Quick question, I know Gboard now supports a split layout, but only on foldables/allowed devices... is there any way to enable that in this ROM? I've tried Googling around for instructions on how to enable it, but haven't had any luck.

Same!
Hi there @michie! Just found out about this ROM this evening. Can't wait to install this and take it for a test drive!!
It's been a while since I stepped away from all things Android Rooting / Custom ROMs and etc. That said:
- What's the status as far as running root on this Pixel C as well as running Magisk? Does this ROM already come with Root privs?
My Bootloader is currently unlocked, so not sure how that helps/hurts things.
Thank you!
13 is a pain in the ass, it needs alot of hacks to make it work on our device. Almost got it booting
I only build vanilla roms, no root, magisk, ... I don't use it so maybe someone else can answer your question if it works on the rom or not
Aah ok, sounds good @michie!!! Since you mainly do Vanilla ROMs, let me ask this other question then (perhaps I don't really need root):
There are a few apps/games on the Google Play Store where it doesn't allow me to download/install on the Pixel C for some dumb reason.
To bypass this, I'll either extract the .apk from another device and then transfer to the Pixel C and install that way, or I'll use the Aurora store or something similar and download that way (it has some level of device spoofing built-in).
But then for some games, when they load, I'll get a message like "This Operating System is not supported" or some similar nonsense.
Curious if you have any recommendations or methods that might help with this?
Thank you!
BJ

I'm curious: You don't use it because you only use your Pixel C to create/test custom ROMs (which is fine by me) or it's because you use another ROM?
Have been using it for a few months now. A few kinks here and there but overall, awesome build!

I have 2 Pixel C's. One for development and one for basic browsing / smart home controle so no need to root the device
I'm thinking of just refining and fixing stuff on 12.1. 13 is too high maintenance to get it running and updated.

I wouldn't complain about either. Is 13 a big change architecturally? 12.1 honestly feels really good on arrowos, even games run better than pixel experience tbh.
Building now, will also upload the patch when finished. Sorry for the delay!
