Telegram does not work - Google Pixel 3a XL Questions & Answers

The Telegram video messages do not work for me, when I send them the other person can not reproduce them, some solution?

There is already a thread on this matter. The best option is to place a bug report with telegram.

Moving "Mark all forums read" to the top

Hello.
Lilttle annotanion concerning the forum layout.
Could you please move the link "mark all forums read" to the top where all other global links are. Would be much easier to use this. Now in the moment i've to go back to the forum index to be able to use it.
Don't know exactly, but i'm nearly sure, nobody usess the "view unanswered posts" link.
Maybe also the search button could be deleted, cause many people don't use it..
Regards
Stefan

Please make use of the QUOTE/MENTION-Feature

Hello, all XDA-Users.
I know, most users know this, but not every XDA-Member…
I'd really like to say something here:
I truly see too many XDA-Users, that simply post something, without thinking about the fact, that somebody maybe overlook/misses your post.
Well, this is OK, but not, if the post is for a specific user.
If somebody wants to reply/say something to another user, without Quoting a Post of the user or mentioning somebody with @[Username]; the [Username] will not be notificated.
That will cause, that there's an extremely low chance, that [Username] will read the post. Maybe he/she looks at the thread at a random moment or recieves a private message etc. Maybe the Member is subscribed to the thread and takes a look randomlý.
But,
If you talk to somebody, please make use of the Quote/Mention-Feature‼
I'm saying this to anybody, who is a member on XDA-Developers.
Quoted Text
XDA-Member-ID (mine is 6011384) or simply type @Username

I hope, everybody will use the QUOTE/MENTION-Feature in future if neccesary and i also hope, it helped.
Thanks to all XDA-Users.
Thanks for this. Something needed to be said. :good:

I remember your signature once to have a text similar to the following one:
„If you want me to read your post, please either Quote/Reply to my post or type/paste @ИΘΘK¡€ in your post.“
Thanks for your reply
Many members actually forget to use Quote/Mention.
I think, it makes sense to put this into the Non-Urgent Forum rules.
I've seen another post, where Quoting/Mentioning isn't used.
@Hannah Stern, I believe this thread would be a better place for the recommendation you posted above - that way the mods can see it and consider it.

trying to learn how to quote >.<
6011384 @Hannah Stern So it sends them a notification, yet the username doesn't become a clickable link?
And no problem if the username has spaces in between?
*Edit: The username becomes a clickable link, and it appears that spaces in the username isn't a problem, when using with @
Even if you use the @ option, it automatically changes to mention option which you can see by editing the post.
Also, the correct way to use the Mention option is
'any text here, preferably the username, and without the quotes'

It should be obvious to me, but it isn't - is there and quick icon to apply the mention tags, or do you have to type the whole thing in? Thanks

It isn't private..... you can technically get private links for public groups
The public invite link is @oneplusCM

privat link : https://telegram.me/joinchat/DKbLAD7KaIV9YSigNmhuGw (group cant be found by search in telegram)
if you search for OnePlus3 you will online find this one: https://telegram.me/OnePlus3
Edit: Now the channel is public with : https://telegram.me/op3chat
while https://telegram.me/onePlusCM is a different channel

Yeah I'm sorry... I was a bit confused myself
I manage a lot of channels so...
Coolio *joins* I actually prefer Telegram than WhatsApp anyway.
How about a wechat group
Sweet, maybe 500 people on xda. I'm going to make two or three channels on every network I can find so everybody can have their own channel.
Most of those don't work. The only active one appears to be this.

MODERATOR NOTICE: TELEGRAM LINK DELETED
Unfortunately, the only group is not in English at all.
The group @the_phantom_97 shared is actually "in portuguese", however it's allowed talking in english there too. People there are kind and there are also some developers in it.
But, pay attention: it's forbidden use the group for anything besides mz2p, and you MUST read all the rules before asking or saying anything.
Thanks
Per the forum rules promoting social media is no longer allowed on XDA:
Self-promotion is forbidden, this includes blogs, social media and video channels etc. Random links will be removed.

If I could actually figure out how to do it I would. I've asked around and everyone just tells me to look at their kernel source which doesn't help at all. All of them have a prebuilt 64bit kernel already inside, and no explanation on how to build it for their device or anyone elses. If you can find me a working guide I'll try. I have yet to see one though.

I want XDA to stay alive, so I do my work here where people can easily find it. I can't do a google search for things that are on Telegram... If you've ever seen my threads you'd know that I don't wait for anything. I don't have a tag saying it, but I am a developer.

All the people in the telegram group are here as well for the most part. You're asking the same questions to mostly the same people. And the info we get in telegram, mostly comes from here where the developers are. The telegram group mostly troubleshoots. We've tried explaining.
