Did someone mangae to unlock the bootloader, without loosing all data?
There are several howtos in the net but none worked for my se with global ROM.
I'm afraid there is no way. But I would be interested in a solution to easily restore the device in a convenient way after unlocking.

I have some questions. Is there any consequences by unlocking boololader like a not working fingerprint sensor etc? After unlocking will working everything? And Is it possible to root htc 10 without unlockin bootloader?

Unlocking will not break anything so you are safe to go. And it's impossible to root conveniently without unlocking the bootloader. (If any phone do root without unlocking, then it's seriously insecure by today's standard.)
Hi all,
Have things changed recently or is generally rooting expected to wipe the data on the phone in the process?
I need to backup appdata from the phone that is not currently rooted (from what I can gather I need to unlock bootloader too) so it sounds like the impossible task as I would wipe the data I am after in the process.
Or have I got my wires crossed somewhere?

It's usually unlocking the bootloader, not rooting, that wipes the phone.

Thanks Telyx, any idea if Z3+ could be rooted without unlocking bootloader? I had a mixed bag on this.
Hi! I have Samsung A50.
I have accidently deleted my photos. I have found application that can help to recover deleted data (dr.fone). But it requires root. To root device it needs unlocking bootloader. After unlocking bootloader it wipes all data. I'm afraid that after unlocking bootloader it will be impossible to recover deleted data. How can I unlock bootloader without wiping data? I found that Xiaomi phone can do that (link to instruction). Maybe we also have such opportunity? Please help me, I lost about 20GB of important for me photos, memories.

I think you have just lost it, as you are correct that unlocking the botloader will clear data.
I guess just admit they are gone and buy a decent sized sdcard or external hdd to back them up to.
I have sent the unlock request to xiaomi so need to wait for a week to unlock the phone. I have found so many bugs on 12.5.2 specially battery drain so fast. I would like to know once is unlocked the bootloader can I downgrade from 12.5.2.0(RRGEUXM) to V10.4.5.0.PGGEUXM? If it can be done with MI flash tool and i want to use some banking apps can they be used or need to be lock again the bootloader? will I be able to unlock the bootloader in the future if needed again? Sorry for the questions I have no much idea . I really appreciate the help and support of the community. Thank you my anti number is 1
1. I think yes, with data wipe (select flash_all). Unlocking bootloader will also wipe your data so do it once and never look back. I haven't tested that. But undoable without data wipe, that's for sure. ROM region doesn't matter unless if you are planning to relock the bootloader
2. Depends on the apps. Some of them can be fooled by magisk hide, some of them even detect bootloader lock status (but how? idk). Just test your apps in every bootloader lock status scenarios, and you will find your answer (not only for banking apps. some apps will be locked out if it detects root/tampered boot)
3. No need to worry about anti rollback lock. It virtually doesn't exist in this device

How about using the same version that he uses in the guide?
Old tool works only on older devices. Newer ones are patched and the workaround doesn't work except a few new tools that work only on Mediatek exploits
