There's nothing that can beat Aliexpress price. I got my 2 Units AL-00 directly from Official Huawei Store on Aliexpress back in January 2019. Both of them came Factory Sealed. Beat this !
Sealed Phone nowdays are very rare, unless you request this. Most of the 3rd party sellers Open the BOX to ensure ,,everything is working ".
That's the best joke to sell a used phone, refurbished unit or just a returned customer unit. Be aware of Open Box phone...

Griffin Powerdock no longer?

Hey guys, I've been trying to find the Griffin Powerdock for our phones, but it has been out of stock for months and I haven't seen any recent posts about its status. Does anyone know where I could still get one of these? I thought I saw a post or two about it being recalled due to an issue, but didn't see any real consensus on if that was true or not. Any help would be awesome!

I asked Moto customer service for an ETA on the Powerdock a couple of times and got nothing. I was lucky enough to catch one for sale on Ebay.
You can buy mine off of me. I don't use it anymore as my OtterBox case prevents the phone from docking with it. I should still have the original packaging as well
I picked one up at the end of March when it was on sale. I just took a look on Moto's site and it shows in stock. Here is the link:
http://www.motorola.com/us/accessor...y-Griffin/griffin-navigation-dock-moto-x.html
It is also available on Griffin's site.

You can also find it on Amazon.

Another place it can be found is on ebay.

Yeah. Just realized you were talking about the Powerdock. You can try one of the ones from RND Power Solutions. I've heard good things about it. Here are links to 2 different models.

They were in stock at their normal $39.99 price, but I didn't have the spare cash last month. Now they're gone. Not out of stock. Just gone. So, I'm in the market for two (home and work).
I just ordered one off Amazon, but it was from a new seller with zero feedback. If this were Ebay, I wouldn't have bothered, but Amazon's policies are very customer friendly, so it's worth the risk to me.
If anyone else wants to part with their (gently) used dock, let me know and we'll work something out. I do NOT have a PayPal account anymore as I've divorced myself from PP/Ebay, but I can send/receive money through Venmo/Square/Google and possibly others.

[Q] My LG G3 is dead... OPO invite, anyone?

This is probably not the right place to post, I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to, but time is of the essence, so here we go!
I've had a G3 since release, and a week ago, while out with some friends, an idiot tipped a 20liter amount of water over me while I was holding my phone. Phone? Now dead...
I contacted my insurance, and I've just got the money transfered to my acount. Now, I run a bar, I'm a part-time worker at an electronic store, AND I study Multimediatechnology and Design. This is were the begging starts....
As a MMTD student I have "Java" and "Android Development" as some of my classes. I'd love to have a Oneplus One as my dev-device!
So, does anyone out there have an invite to spare, for a student in desperate need for a new phone, hopefully the Oneplus One?

Don't need an invite for OPO - use Aliexpress - yes it's safe, plenty of people in the OPO subforum on XDA have ordered and I myself have ordered one.
EDIT::
One of the reputable sellers, also the place I ordered mine

I've been thinking about it... BUT...
From what I can see, the original ones come with the CM logo on the back? The one you linked to, doesn't have any logo on the back, so does that mean it comes with the dreadful ColorOS? And what about replacement phones and warranty-concerns?

Some of them have ColorOS however it's a simple flash to change to CM11s - regarding warranty or issues.. it's a straight send back and swap from what I have seen so far. People have actually been having worse luck with OPO directly.
Remember China don't need invites, hence them being freely available.
Hmm... Well I think I'm gonna see if I find an invite in the coming week, hopefully I do... I'm just so concerned, in fear of it being a "fake"

No fakes around as it's a Chinese company anyway have a look in the OPO forum here and read people's reviews... They don't tend to pirate their own stuff. Good luck with an invite :good: they all come from the same warehouse anyway lol
Gha, would still like it to be from Oneplus themselves...
for the pricing as well!

Has anyone gotten a new Nokia N1 running Lollipop yet?

Although for the Chinese market, I would love to get my hands on one here in NYC to see how it turned out compared to their Winblows based devices.
I got it ... Its nice in look ... But I just found that the headset is not working ... I just tried to use iPhone headset but doesn't !
i got one.
@ran816 the headset is working after an update (a couple of updates ago)
Does anyone know where to import one from? I really want one but I don't want to pay $450 off ebay for one.

I agree...I'd like to get one as well but buying it on eBay would be a ripoff. Anyone have any good info on how to get one in the US for closer to cost?

Yeah, I tried asking all of the sellers if they would accept any offers but they all said no. I'm willing to pay 300+ shipping which is reasonable considering that's a 20% profit for them give or take. I just can't justify that much of a markup for something without a good reason. It should he released in Spain/UK soon anyway.
I had a Nexus 9 but I wasn't a big fan. I liked my Nexus 7 2013 more than the 9 by far. I used to also have a LG GPad 8.3 and I loved it until I broke it. I'm hoping this will be a good tablet to fill the Gpads slot now that I'm tablet less (unless my Nexus 6 is a tablet )

Where do they ship from? Are they a reputable vendor? I realize other members have bought one from them but I'd rather be on the safe side
I bought a Nokia N1 about a week ago from China. Already got 4 system updates. Out of the box was 5.0.2. Latest build number is A5CN410.
The build quality is unbelievable for the price range. Not to mention the screen. Only one issue, no Google Play Services, yet.
I bought the nokia n1 on this site: smartophone.com
it works very well, but still not google apps !
Nokia N1 ,Chinese Edition.
I've got one ,but it sucks by now,'cause it ships without google service,a lot of apps works incorrectly on it .
I bought mine on Amazon...Google Play Store right out of the box. Be sure you get the Taiwan version!
Loving it so far!

Oneplus sandstone case

Hi,
My cover is broken, don't know exactly why. From the top border, until camera.
Seems strange after shortly discontinued mobile there is no replacement accessories...
I noticed that OnePlus don't have cover available in website store anymore.
Honestly I feel a bit concerned with that, mainly because I read in different places that there are covers that are not good enough.
I'm disappointed because I haven't done nothing to break cover, is always inside flip cover. I can only that I don't need assistance, or else mobile will be able to paperweight.
How can I get new one? A 100% working one
Thanks.
JC
Submit a support ticket on their website saying that you need a new sandstone case for the OPO and you should be able to buy one that way. That was how I got my replacement, albeit I did this a while ago. Hopefully they haven't changed this policy and you'll be able to get that case! If not, I hear there are some cases you can buy from Aliexpress, but I have no experience with them so I do not know about how legitimate they are.
That was the second thing I've done, the first was look for it in the store. And I received an amazing answer:
Thank you for contacting OnePlus Tech support. My name is Franco and I will be handling this ticket for further assistance. First of all, I do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. In regards to your concern, since our Oneplus cover was already faced out in our Official store. Then you can try to order it from a third party store.
Looking forward for your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
I cannot understand this...
I can understand that OP is releasing new phones and wants to sell it, but they can't forget about previous mobiles, with a couple of years. Probably this is my only OP phone ever.

The problem is that they don't have the StyleSwap covers in stock anymore (The stopped producing the OPO already...)
Very good to OP, very bad on the customer service point of view.
It's not OP problem; is mine, just because I have a new phone damaged and I cannot get a part to fix it.
Not sure where you are from, but it's available in India. Search in Amazon.in

You still getting battery covers for two year old samsungs, sony's, lg's from the Manufacturer? Prawly not. Hard enough to get software updates, let alone them keep around physical product. Want to know why you can't restore old Japanese cars like you can with American cars? Americans have the space to store old **** for decades. Japan does not.

Front glass broken

Hi there,
today I dropped my phone on the street and the front glass got broken. The phone is still fully working. Touchscreen and everything else works without problems.
A couple of months ago I changed the front glass of a Samsung Galaxy S4 with all the necessary stuff, e.g. loca glue. For the first trial the result was acceptable. No reading the other threads:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3522863
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3592043
most of the posters don't recommend the replacement of the front glass. On ebay I can find both only the frontglass (about 10€) and the full suited display (about 135€). If I take an offer from china, the price would lower to 65€. Another option would be to send the phone to Oneplus and let those guys repair it.
Now the decisions I have to made:
Just buying the front glass: Would be an option, if it is the same difficulty like the Samsung phones. But I've found only one Youtube Tutorial. At 1:45 he puts something on the screen, but not sure if it's clue or just something to clean.
Buying a display from China: for about 65€ would be also ok. This can take up to 6 weeks of shipping. And in some forums I've read the quality should be much lower than the original parts from Oneplus. Does anyone have any experience about this?
Sending to Oneplus ist the last option. But this depends on the price. I opened a ticket and now I'm waiting for their offer.
What would you recommend? Has anybody changed the frontglass and can tell me about the success?

Open the ticket mate. No fuss. You'll get your device going in maximum 2 weeks. I tried replacing the glass myself and failed, I cracked the screen half way through...
Buying from eBay... Idk, but if people say they're not original, why Risk? Then again there's the struggle of doing it yourself.
The cheapest and safest is to send it to ONEPLUS.
Cheers

I have replaced hundreds of screens in devices and for the most part it is cheaper and far easier then anything else.
Im about to replace my USB port myself as soon as my tool kit gets here on Monday.
I would never send a device to the OEM to be fixed. It will cost you twice as much plus the time without a device is just stupid.
I have always trusted these people with all the stuff I need to repair. Never trust some random Youtube video.

Total: EUR 108.61
Not sure, if there are any shippig costs to be added.

What? It may suck to send your device away but why are you saying they charge you twice as much? That's misinformation. I sent mine and it only cost 80£ (labour and shipping included). Where can you buy an original display for 80 quid? Even the Knock offs from eBay cost more than that.

Yep! Not gonna pay $400 to repair a device that is literally $100 something on Ebay or Swappa, and I am definitely not going to pay $400 for a device that is guaranteed going to bootloop again in only a years time. So I spent $300 and bought a new OP3. Originally got the V10 because as someone coming from IOS, I automatically thought all Android phones could be unlocked and rooted with ease, with some o them sweet custom ROMs. This guy didn't do his research and ended up with using LG's, horrible, horrible (I cannot stress this enough) software. Not to mention the extra thick layer of AT&T bloat behind it. I don't really care about the hardware in a phone, as long as its good enough to have the software run good.

I hear you there. I had a g2 for a while. Then moved to the nexus but the 6 had issues dealing with the cold. So got the 1+3 for a steal from a dev. To be honest. I wanted to hate it because the CEO is an idiot. But other then some crappy BT issues when on a weak wifi connection. (licensing issues I'm sure) and the fact it won't work with my smart watch. I really can't complain about about.
I replaced my Motherboard and Battery by sending it to Oneplus. I do live in the EU so that could be a big difference. But a DHL driver picked it up on Monday. And I got it back the same week on Friday fully repaired without additional costs. A screen replacement here costs about €100 which is not expensive at all.. The problem mainly is that original parts are very rare and mostly fake.
