Face unlock notifications - Huawei Mate 20 Questions & Answers

So I enabled to show notifications only when my face is detected. The problem is when I am using spotify it doesn't show media controls unless my face is detected. Anyone know any solution for this or how can we whitelist some apps?

[Q] Vibrate in call

Is there anyway to enable vibration in call? I know turning on "alerts" in phone settings works only for the default messaging app, that's all. Every other app, notification gets muted with no vibrations. Theres no way to tell if there's an important text or email that comes through without having to turn the phone back on and checking.
So is there any way to enable it, or by through any Xposed Module? Thanks!

Vibration on notification

Hi guys, I am on stock firmware and love the phone - except from the vibration, that is simply too hard and loud for my taste. I have disabled the touch vibration, I have disabled vibration for calls and I also disabled it in various apps like WhatsApp. But I cannot seem to get a hold of the vibration for standard notifications from apps without their own notification settings. A friend of mine has the same phone without notification vibration and he does not remember any specific setting he could have disabled and I cannot find any myself. Am I experiencing a bug or does anybody have an idea?

Mute / DND not working properly

I'm having trouble with both the "mute" sound mode and DND even with no exceptions set. Based on both the manual and the description in the UI they should be muting my media sounds, but they're not. I even rebooted the phone into safe mode and set DND with mute and loaded up web pages and youtube and there it goes playing sounds when my phone shouldn't be making a peep. I did a search for mute and didn't turn up much on the forums. From the S9 user manual it says "Mute: Set your device to make no sounds.", so I take that to include media just like with every other device that has a mute feature.
Has anyone else experienced this, or can replicate by setting their mute & DND then trying to play a youtube video? Before I go through the headache of a factory reset I'd like to confirm if it's just my device. It's really important to me that I'm able to throw my device into silent mode and that it's actually silent and not going to start screaming at max volume if I'm reading the news and it decides to autoplay a video.
DND mutes notifications and ringtones, I'm guessing their wording of also muting media means something other than apps that play music or videos that you manually invoke
Use the media volume control to mute media like that
Well, I was able to solve this with Tasker. I set up a variable watcher on interrupt and whenever it changes away from all it mutes my media volume. The downside is it doesn't appear that Tasker can do anything with the Samsung sound profiles, so I can't actually use the mute option to mute my phone.

Question Music stops for a split second when notifications come through even on Vibrate.

Anyone else experienced this before? I've set my phone on vibrate and it still does this thing where it stops whatever that is playing for a second before resuming.
Yep, I had this issue too. My Fold 4 would kill any sound playing on a Bluetooth device while a notification is on the screen. The workaround right now is to go to Settings > Sounds and Vibrations > Seperate App Sound and enable it, select your music app or any app you need sound for, and set the audio device to Bluetooth Device. Sound will work fine on the phone if there are no Bluetooth devices connected and will not cut out during notifications while using bluetooth

Watch GT: How to mute incoming calls

Hi,
I have a Watch GT Classic, but I don't want it to ring/vibrate when I get a phone call.
Is there anyway to disable this? I already disabled all notifications, but the calls keep coming through.
I have seen the Do Not Disturb function, but that stops the display from turning on when turn my wrist which basically makes the watch unusable.
Are there any other options?
Opper
don't allow the Huawei health app to access your notifications.
