I see that the nexus 9 is really not getting any new roms lately so i am here to change that and i already made 3 new roms for the nexus 9
They are:
Aokp Nougat
Aosp Extended Nougat
FireHound Nougat
Make sure you all give me feedback but i tested all 3 of those roms i made and they should be good to be daily drivers
Also these roms will be coming to the nexus 9 from me in the next few days or weeks for flounder:
XenonHD Nougat (Already Done)
OctOS Nougat (Maybe)
crDroid Nougat (Hopefully)
RR Remix 5.8.5 Nougat (Hopefully)
Dot OS Nougat (Already Done)
Mokee Nougat (Maybe)
Dirty Unicorns Nougat (Maybe)
BlissROM Nougat (Maybe)
LegendROM Nougat (Already Done)
I tried building these ROMs for flounder but they have too many issues and i dont recommend them so i wont be sharing them:
LiquidDark Nougat
AtomicOS Nougat
AOSIP Nougat

Flashed this ROM last night and so far everything seems good. Was using the official Lineage but it hasn't been updated since February. Thanks for keeping our N9 updated!

Hey everybody sorry i haven't been posting builds lately. I have deciced to stop making roms for a couple months for all my devices because it feels like too much work for me at the moment and i am trying to deal with my personal mental health issues that i am currently working on. This isn't a goodbye i will eventually start developing and making roms again i just don't know when i will have the motivation to come back. But when i come back from taking my break i will try to update most of my roms for you all
Also i deeply apologize to the people that requested any sort of help and that have emailed or private messaged me here on xda. I have seen your messages and i will respond to you all and try to help eventually but right now that's not my priority. I just got too much stuff going on with my life but it's nothing against any of you. I love to help people but my sanity and mental health is more important.
I hope you all can understand

Thanks for your efforts here.
I look forward to reading your posts on the xda forums in the future....but only when you're ready.
Good luck!

Is this ROM better than Lineage or Original (OEM)? Are you using any custom Kernel?

How i get the "Dark Mode" so many options in the "Rom Control App".
Thanks Anyway!
BTW Great Rom for the Nexus 9 arm64. (Kudo's too the Devoloper!)

Hi, I just flashed this ROM. It boots just fine, but once I flash the gapps package, it just sits at the "loading" screen until I force a reboot. Any ideas? I've left it for up to 20 mins, just to be sure.

hope the developer of teh roms is doing well. just out of curiosity since hte risahw video playback fix for nexus 9 .wondering if ehe could takea look at rebuild oreo roms when he decides ot ome backto developing for hte nexus 9.

Okay thanks. I will try to fix it.
Any log will be welcomed.
Ill try it later today and report back. Perhaps you should add a link to the suggested gapps...I'm assuming the same one recommended for cm12.1.
For those testing, here's how to generate a kernel log after a random reboot: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2014/02/how-to-generate-kernel-log-after-random.html

Good to see more development going on for the Idol 3! Life is slowly but surely being brought to this community! Thanks given!
Edit: Getting late for me tonight, but I'll try to give it a whirl on the 6045i tomorrow evening and report back.
A French guy (6045Y) tested yesterday and confirmed everything works flawlessly.
Micro, speaker, etc...work as well. You can move it to the development section
I think he is here as well, it's @cyanogendroid .

Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery, flash required firmware
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous Tesla build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.

If you want root access, SuperSU will need to be flashed, v2.78 works for me. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that.
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some themes may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

can someone post some screenshots and give a review
Excellent rom but only issue is downloading from playstore while in roaming. I read somewhere in internet that temporary fix can be replacing the 2 apps of downloadprovider & downloadprovideui with the old working ones. I haven't tried since i don't have those old apps.
Rom is excellent bt after installing substratum themes battery drains rapidly.. 100-5 in 2 hrs...

I was able to build the ROM using the Lineage OS official source code from the LineageOS github
The device files I used were also pulled from the LineageOS github. Here are the links:
Device Files:

I'm currently testing the ROM to check what's working and what's not. LineageOS seems to have some of the same issue the AOSP 9.0 ROM that was shared a few days ago had. The list of things currently NOT working:
Wifi
Camera
Debugging
NFC
MTP
SELinux is permissive

My guess is that it has something to do with the lineage source. Wonder if you where to take certain commits from the repo that UAP used a merge it if that would fix it. Thanks prashanthca for supporting the grand nexus 5. Starting to get into building roms from source. if you are looking for any assistance.

I use Nexus Root Toolkit and it works great with other Nexus products. The bridge exists but with the menu on the tablet, I'm not sure.
Try to use the terminal, the toolkit seems quite outdated...
Nice job! Test on my N9 ,work well. Also i try get rid off thermal control for better performance.

So yea, we are back
Newest security patch, backported by amazing los people, but missing at least two these two backports
https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_external_v8/+/312152
https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_external_chromium-libpac/+/312150
Thats the main reason why most devs dont bump the security patch nowadays, but I did so that you can differentiate builds.
The foss build includes fdroid, fdroid-priv, microg and the aurora store.
If you use gapps flash them over the vanilla build tho.
Dirty flash from previous builds worked for me, but that doesnt mean it has to work for you.
Just a quick note:
