Am I on LTE? - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

I just got my wife an unlocked G7, model LMG710ULM for use on AT&T. I am trying to figure out if I am connecting to LTE. The Icon says 4G but using an app called Network Cell Info Lite, it appears I am indeed on LTE. LTE is definitely available as my Z2 Force shows the icon.

So there is no LTE icon on this phone?

If u have VoLTE it shows a icon
If u Dont its just the 4g icon. 4g =lte

That's great news, i was worried i would have to return it. Is there a menu option to turn VoLTE on?

[Q] GSM GNexus showing 4G?! Not n00by, just nosy ;) And curios...

Hey guys! I'm running Jack Pham AOKP 35 (All pirated apps removed)
It's a nice ROM (apart from the pirated apps), but since I updated, it shows 4G... I know for a fact, that my network operator has got LTE masts, but then again, my phone is GSM, see where my problem is? The internet speed hasn't changed, nor the quality, so I'm thinking it's a mod in the ROM, tricking people, into thinking, they've got 4G, but they're running on HSPA+...
Here is the screenshot:

I'm new to AOKP, so I don't want to search and mod myself, yet... (I on't know, if the code is different, than on/in AOSP)
The GSM does not have lte radio. That rom just decided to change the icon to 4g.
they've just taken the "4G" icon from an LTE ROM and put it on the GSM ROM when you're connected to HSPA+.

Unable to register in 3G (HSPA+)

I've purchased Oppo Find 7a (x9000) from china market. After bringing the device to my country Bangladesh, I've been trying to use 3G service but could not be able to register to 3G network. However, 2G (voice and data both) is working fine.
Test cases -
1. My 3G SIM works well in other 3G devices
2. Other 3G SIM doesn't work in this device.
3. Set network mode as "WCDMA Only" and "WCDMA Preferred". None worked
4. Tried to register to 3G network forcefully (setting-->Geenral--->Mobile Networks---->Network Operators). It shows error message " Can't connect to this network, please try later"

Simultaneous Voice & Data

Does anyone know if there's a difference in radios between the G2 and the G4? I had the G2 and I could do simultaneous voice and data no problem. Note that I did NOT have the advanced calling feature enabled on my Verizon account. Could talk and surf at same time all day on Verizon G2.
Now with the G4, when I make a call, the signal indicator goes to 1X and it will not let me surf the net. I added the advanced calling feature to my line on my account and it now lets me surf and talk simultaneously.
I guess my Q is, is there a hardware difference between the G2 and the G4 that lets the G2 do it simultaneously regardless of whether the Advanced calling feature was turned on or not?
Thanks.
Mine works fine on T-Mobile USA both calls and LTE at same time!

VoLTE doesn't work on Verizon G4s?
Yes there is a difference, the G2 had two radios that allowed you to use data while on a call. The G4 requires you to use advanced calling (VoLTE) to do both.

VoLTE and Moto

Hi everyone,
Has Moto g 5G plus got VoLTE? I can't find any item about it in the settings?
How can I make sure that it is working anyway?
Thanks
Try this in the dialer *#*#4636#*#* > Phone Information > click on "VoLTE Provisioned". If it let's you congrats! It should be working, make a call to another VoLTE capable device, you should see an "HD" icon in the dialer.
If it's greyed out but enabled congrats! It should be working, try my test above.
If it's greyed out and not enabled there isn't a way to enable it unless your carrier allows your device to use it.

it seems to be enabled, but greyed out.

Then you should have VoLTE enabled, if you don't have the status bar icon it might be disabled. Call another phone that is VoLTE capable (iPhone as well) and if you HD Voice in the dialer somewhere in the middle
If you have this icon you should have VoLTE working.
Thanks
