Galaxy Watch 2? - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I know there have been rumors that they will be announcing the Galaxy Watch Active 2 at the Unpacked event. I haven't heard if there will be a Galaxy Watch 2. I like the physical ring around the watch and the Active will not have this.
What do you guys know about a Galaxy Watch 2?

Haven't seen anything about GW2 and think the Active 2 is only new Samsung watch...

Yes the New Active 2 as a rotative bezel.

And a smaller battery!

You mean code name renaissance? There was some chatter about the GW2 back in July. Most of the chatter expected it to release with the Galaxy Note 10+, like the GW released along side the Note 9. It's been pretty quiet here lately about the GW2.

So here we are in 2020, anybody think there will be a watch 2 this year? Anybody heard anything yet?

Help me to decide

Hi guys, I do not decide between 3 smartwatch, could you help me decide which one to buy?
Samsung galaxy watch comes with tyzen and rotating bezel
Huawey Watch 2 comes with android wear without rotating bezel
Huawey watch gt new model, I do not know if it's better than the Watch 2
Important points:
I think having a rotating bezel gives a positive point to the clock
So I have read tyzen is not well optimized strong point for android wear
Then i dont decide between samsung or huawey... By the way i love cool watch faces like fallout pip boy or super mario faces,..
Which of the two operating system / clock has the most support on wahtcfaces?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME GUYS

since when ?
Samsung watch works will all android phones. Yes there are some difficulties with 4G watches, but ither then that is ok.
Huawei GT uses own OS, so no apps can be added. Also no free storage.
Not all functions are working correctly.
Then what should i choose? I wanna play pokemon go too on the watch
Maybe at future i woulda go to s10 when samsung release them
If you're planning on getting a Samsung phone I'd go with a Samsung watch just for the sake of compatibility.

No, for any Samsung watch, to get the most out of it, you should have a Samsung phone - that's the best integration.

No, the Galaxy Watch will work with either iPhone or Samsung Android phones, it just has better integration with Samsung phones (some integration features are not available with the iPhone). You are thinking about the apple watch which works only with the iPhone.

Maybe i gonna buy mi mix 3 or new future one plus or something similar, then the thing, forget the phone, what is better
Samsubg tyzen or huawey wear os? I think wear os rules cause of optimization btw galaxy watch is beatufill and his watch faces amazing fck my brain gonna explode
I have both watches and both have a lot of bags. Huawei does not follow the steps precisely, The LTE version often freezes, the bluetooth connection with the handset (Xiaomi) works bad. The Samsung HR monitor is bad, you can not walk and measure. Also, Samsung products are no longer quality. My Gear S3 was 3 times in the Service, Galaxy watch 42mm came with an incorrect motherboard. For the past 10 years I have only had Samsung mobile phones. From Samsung 6 edge all models were on service, some model 4 times.
Garmin and FitBit are better than Huawei and Samsung, FitBit dont have lot of watch faces, both models are not for gaming.
Chinese watches with Android OS could be a better for gaming.
My recommendation would be to get whatever suits the platform you're currently on. Like for me, I already have an s9 and a tab s3. So the galaxy watch seemed the best fit. I just bought mine a few days ago and I have to say I'm really enjoying it thus far. And if you're into watch faces there are a lot on the galaxy app store. My favorite so far is q watch which is a nearly perfect replica of James Bond's watch from Goldeneye on N64. It's so dope lol.
That said, there are some things which I feel could make it better. For starters, there is not nearly enough support for smartthings. Neither my tv nor my soundbar can be controlled through the smartthings app on my watch despite being registered with the app on my phone. Small gripe but still...Also, texting is super frustrating. And the fact that it only has 4gb built in memory is a bit of a let down. Battery life is pretty decent. I got the 42mm and I get about 1 - 2 days on a charge. 46mm has even better than that. Physical design is pretty well. The silicone straps are surprisingly comfortable, the watch is self just feels like a quality build. Not cheap feeling at all. OS is laid out fairly well. Only took me a couple hours to really learn the ins and outs. Works pretty seamlessly with the S9. But limited compatibility with anything else thus far (samsung devices such as tablet, tv, and soundbar). Overall I'd still give it a solid 8/10. I very much reccomend especially if you're planning to get a samsung phone at any point in the near future.
is Samsung HR monitor really as as bad as all says ?
Can Galaxy watch be used as fitness tracker or it would make more sense just go for stratos 2 ?
Then for should i go? My thing is connect me. To play store and on tyzen u cant (if im correct..) maybe on gslaxy watch theres a way to install play store? I dont love tyzen.. But on quality galaxy watch seems OP with watch faces TT

Pair Gear S3 watch from Note 8 to Note 10+

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place. I am having issues on my Gear S3 watch when I pair it to Note 10+. Some of the watch faces (especially the purchased watch faces) is not available on the Note 10+ Galaxy Store. When I go to Galaxy App >> My Page >> All, I cannot see the complete list of the watches faces I purchased before. While it can be re-downloaded and installed on my Note 8 Galaxy Store. It is all present on my Note 8 if I pair it again to it.
I also tried backing up everything on my Gear S3 watch from Note 8 then restore when I pair it to Note 10+ but still the some of watch faces are not downloaded afterwards.
The only difference I see is the Galaxy Store version. Not sure if this is the reason.
Need help on this. Thanks!

I had this happen with the Titanium SU Pro watch face where it was available for my Note 9 but not my Note 10+ 5G.
One email to the Dev and all is now good. The dev just needed to update the watch face to support the new device types.

Correct - the app store backend is pretty archaic. You have to tick every combination of phone model with each watch model. There isn't an option to have it automatically support all devices
I have sent email to the developers of the missing watch faces. Only 1 developer replied so far. He said, there is nothing he can do.
Still checking with him if there is a way to add support for the new device. :crying:

They just need to log in to the seller page, click update on the watchface and under devices they need to tick all the new ones. Then submit and it will be approved in about 30 minutes

Active 2 worth it ?

Hi I'm thinking about getting a watch with no, EKG and BP, active2 seems to be one to fill all of this but I have a few questions :
1- is it hard to crack it to enable EKG and BP ? ( Normally I root Android phones so I have experience )
2- is battery life decent ?
3-can it work fine with any non rooted android phone ?
4- is it worth it ? I know the active 3 is out but I really don't feel like spending 500$ on a watch

1. No cracking. 2 APKs. One will install tpk on watch, and another is samsung health monitor for phone. 5 minutes to get it work.
2. Two days of normal usage. Wifi and lte on auto
3. Yes. Best with samsung of course.
4. Active 2 and watch 3 are nearly identical on hardware side. Only diference is how they looks.
The Active 2 would work well for you! Cheers

Galaxy Watch (not Active!!) 2 with blood pressure

Hi all.
I menaged to download the app: My Bp Lab. But everytime i launch it it says it can't find the active watch.
So my question is: is there a method to measure Blood Pressure with the Galaxy Watch 2? In any non conventional modes? Or do i have to wait until MR Samsung decides to free it up for the other watches that are not Active?
Or did i buy the wrong Watch? The sensors might be the same, as i read.

Maybe heat.. or maybe I am drunken or maybe I am not smart enough...
Can you give simple Model Name?
Example:
SM-R800 is IMHO device of Galaxy Watch family...
Because I have NO idea what you mean with Galaxy Watch 2?
Best Regards
There is no such watch as galaxy watch 2...
There newest ones are the galaxy watch, galaxy ative 1 and 2 and finally galaxy watch 3
The exact model is:
Galaxy Watch SM-R805F
Sorry for that guys.
This model is just the "galaxy watch" (LTE). She's not equipped to measure blood pressure.
Sure it is equipped, it is only not ompatible. So i was asking if there is a way to make the app compatible. It has the same Sensors as the Active Watch.
This site is the prove for what i sayed.
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/...the-galaxy-watch-and-the-galaxy-watch-active/
The two clocks are identicall in what sensors belong. So it is only an App feature (as the mylab is still in test phase. )
it seems to me that the galaxy active is not equipped with the blood pressure sensor (only the galaxy active 2 is equipped)
SM-R500 Galaxy Watch Active 1 work with Samsung Health Monitor and Blood Pressure. :good:
Best Regards
@adfree, could you post a screenshot ?
Thx
Hi everyone I have the R815F version, and I think this feature will only come in a few months with the arrival of Tizen 4.0.0.8, not before I think. And seeing that this watch has never had a correct follow-up, I think there is a risk of never having it.
