Minimal ADB and Fastboot ^= https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1S0LCuXCnnmSWh6NGJmSE1BUWc/edit
^ is optional and * is a must
Step 2 Method A
Now the steps will be different depending on what rom you currently have installed if you have a custom or beta firmware/rom installed and twrp you will need to:
Firstly Flash Your Recovery to Stock = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2636231
Flash B132= Extract the B132 file and copy it's dload folder onto your internal memory>then reboot your phone into recovery by>holding pwr+vol up+ vol down continuously untill it starts recovery>after it finishes setup your phone then follow the next step
Flash B510 =(do not flash with recovery) do so by taking the zip file as is(do not extract) and copying it onto your P6's internal memory under the dload folder(if it's not there create it) then on your P6's goto settings>about phone>system update>local>update then let it update. When it's done you have successfully installed Kitkat, if you want go on to (optional further steps)
Flash TWRP = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2636231 then
Install the mods =Reboot to Recovery>hold pwr+vol up+ vol down continuously untill it starts> Start with Pure graphics>Pure Performance>Pure audio>Bravia>then clear cache> Reboot > And You are done you have a optimized B510 rom
Or if you are already on a stock rom like B111 or so then you can just:
skip the 1 instruction on the list and just do the rest.
[Note]
You can replace B510 with B512,B513 if you wanted to.
B512 = http://dl-uk.huaweinews.com/index.php?dir=Roms/Ascend-P6/&file=B512.zip
B513 = http://dl-uk.huaweinews.com/index.php?dir=Roms/Ascend-P6/&file=B513.zip
Method B
1. Start with Paranoid Android, OMNI or any other AOSP-based ROM.
2. Back up all data with Titanium backup and copy everything you need from your internal storage. ATTENTION: The internal storage will be wiped while flashing, so the backup MUST be on your SD-Card.
3. Copy dload folder to SD-Card or internal storage. (there should be no difference)
4. Boot to TWRP and make a backup in-case something goes wrong.
5. In TWRP wipe everything except internal and external storage.
6. In TWRP choose reboot to bootloader. Confirm that no OS is installed and don't install SuperSU.
7. Plug your phone in your PC and open a CMD.
8. Download B510 recovery.img and boot.img from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=51718316.
9. Follow the instructions by @surdu_petru(method1)
(or use this(method 2)choose install recovery image first, then the boot image
or use Method 3>
copy both the recovery and boot img files to your adb folder then>
run these commands:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot recovery
. IMPORTANT: When the flashing is finished and the phone reboots unplug the USB cable then wait for recovery to open and let it install.
10. You are finished!! The first boot takes some time no need to panic.
Additional:
Reinstall TWRP and flash SuperSU for Root. Than you can restore your backup you made in the second step.
[credit for discovering it's possible to install B510 directly from Aosp based roms goes to @taaeem= original post]

Hi Persona78, first can i say what a fantastic job you have done, most of my research on the idol 3 4.7 points back to you, hats off sir!
I'm still having a problem and i'm really at a loss here after about a week of no returns.
adb refuses to recognise my 6039y when in bootloader so i cannot flash recovery, or ROM, or any command. I have all drivers installed correctly, vendor id of 0x1bbb is set in a.ini file in adb_usb.ini, i keep search for different approaches but turning up nothing!
Are there anything to suggest? I would be most appreciative!
Thanks, Marlin

How To Guide How to extract boot img files with TWRP and root your phone [OOS open beta F.08 Android 13]

Hi,
for those who want to install and root the open beta based on android 13, here's how.
Prerequisite
- SDK Platform-Tools for Windows
- OnePlus_USB_Drivers_Setup
- TWRP image file for OnePlus 9 pro
- usb tpye-C otg cable and FAT32 memory card
or usb type-C/usb type-A dual socket memory card
- Android Bootloader Interface driver
Download links for OnePlus 9 Pro full packages:
OnePlus 9 Pro (IN)
OnePlus 9 Pro (NA)
- Be sure that your device is in the latest OxygenOS 12 version C.63 and completely unrooted.
You will need this apk to perform the update: OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk
Be careful this operation will erase all your data. Back them up before updating
- Once the update is done, unlock the bootloader and enable usb debugging.
1- Download the latest TWRP: twrp-3.6.2_11-0-lemonadep.img and put it in the fastboot folder of your pc ( with this twrp you will not be able to access your phone's internal memory but that's not a problem, that's why we need a usb key ).
2- Start your phone in fastboot mode then connect it to your pc.
3- open a command prompt on your pc from the fastboot folder and run ( don't flash, only boot) : fastboot boot twrp-3.6.2_11-0-lemonadep.img
4- once in twrp, connect a usb key to your phone, select Mount / Select Storage / USB storage.
5- go back to Advanced and to Terminal.
6- in the TWRP terminal run : dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot of=/usbstorage/boot.img
7- disconnect the usb key and plug it into your pc to check that the extraction was successful and that the boot file is indeed present on the usb key.
8- restart your phone.
9- copy and paste the extracted boot.img into the phone's internal memory.
You now have the boot.img file to patch, you just need to install magisk to patch the file.
So as not to end up in bootloop, remember to always test the file with the command : fastboot boot magisk_patched.img
If the phone restarts and you are rooted, reboot to fastboot and run : fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
Stock and patched files : LE2121 boot img files / LE2125 boot img files
thanks! this method worked for me.
Shouldn't this same process (incl. TWRP) work on the oneplus 9?

how is that possible? TWRP does not work in android 12
I did it , the extracted files are at the bottom of the first post.
it's the file decryption that doesn't work.
With payload dumper I did not succeed.
hey guys I have done a similar thing.
I patched the boot.img from payload.bin using payload dumper.
This is the patched file.
magisk_patched.img
drive.google.com
Copy the file to pc.
Phone to fastboot mode.
Connect via usb.
Enter Powershell using Left Shift + Right CLick
Enter command: fastboot boot <patched file>
It will reboot your phone. If not, enter command: fastboot reboot.
Once rebooted.
Install Magisk App and direct install after this.
Enjoy.
*THIS IS FOR ALL WHO HAVE LOST ROOT ACCESS AFTER UPDATING. BUT CAN ALSO BE FOLLOWED AFTER UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER THE 1ST TIME. THIS IS FOR INDIAN VERSIONS ONLY.*
This is for Indian Version only.
