Has anyone tried a CSC change and been successful? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

1. Launch your phone’s dialer, and type in the following code, and replace the italics text via your phone’s IMEI number. “*#272*Phone’s IMEI Here#”
2. Your phone will automatically pop up a screen, with some fancy codes all over it. Don’t freak out yet.
3. You will notice some codes with a radio button beside each and every one of it. These are the CSC codes that your galaxy device supports.
4. All you need to do is select the one code that fancies you, and head over back to home.
5. Now, your device will automatically restart, and factory reset itself.

Bad idea.
I did dis using the code with s10+ but aftr csc change from INS to BTU i couldn't go bk to original csc using the same *#272*imei# method. None of d known csc changing methods worked 2 go bk 2 original csc. Combination fwrs also dint work due to Samsung restrictions. Samsung service centre also couldn't fix & then Samsung replaced the phone finally. It ws a nightmare.

same on one of my devices A102U or A505U cantbremember which right now and dont have it on me but it only worked when i had a sprint sim in for some reason then i changed it to gcf then the code no longer worked lol.. so its stuck in gcf as i cannot find another way to change csc and both do not allow flashing combo firmware lol
although its not bad.. itssimilar to using xaa firmware and network info is set automatically with new sim..
i believe it only works on certain csc so have a backup plan if you plan on messin with it

Can't update to Android 9.0

I just bought samsung s9 SM-G960U but can't it won't update to android 9.0 manually ! it says processing failed
I did some researches I found that it's carrier-related . Some solutions suggests that I use odin to update but I can't choose the right firmware !
In fact :
- when I try to check the csc using *#1234# it show g960usqu2are6 ( I think it's Verizon using google)
- when I log on into samsung website and enter my imei . The product info shows that my carrier type is Sprint
- when I check "about phone/service Provider SW " on my phone the first line contains TMB after G960U and the third line is TGY/TGY/TGY
I'm confused but I want to update my s9 to android 9.0 . Help me

get the firmware here
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9/SM-G960U/VZW/download/G960USQU4CSC7/265795/
get the most recent version of Odin (i didnt source you a link for that)
open Odin on your computer
unzip the package and get your phone into download mode, connecting it to your computer. Allow drivers to install and when Odin recognizes your device by showing a random number in the port field. Then place the files in their corresponding spots in Odin paying attention to which CSC file you use as one factory resets the phone and the other simply applies the update. It is recommended to use the factory reset CSC when changing from different iterations of the Android OS. Press the start button, allow it to full run the firmware push. It will then automagically reboot (yes, automagically), and youre done.

Once a phone is unlocked, it stays that way forever. Firmware has nothing to do with a phone's locked or unlock status.

Depends how it was unlocked, seen a few members flash new firmware and the phone is SIM locked again, these unlock companies must use some modification to the firmware rather than unlocking it properly

Good to know. Wasn't aware that a phone could be unlocked with firmware alone. I guess it's a temporary overlay or something that "fakes" being unlocked?

Yea must be something that emulates the unlock somehow but once reset or flashed it's gone, always seems to be people who have bought the phone second hand unlocked, it has worked fine with their sim until they reset or flash different firmware, then it's locked again
No network on device after firmware update

CSC Change is still possible?

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to check whether any working methods are around to change the CSC of a Note 10+
Couldn't find any guides apart from the ones which are in Note 9 Sections.
Any support on this is much appreciated!

Im also looking for a solution for this. SamKey's paid service is apparently supporting this but im unsure of the method their software uses and its a paid service. Users in Australia (like me) are having issues with RCS services through Telstra (TEL) because the Open Variant bought direct from Samsung not having the correct CSC. Some users have reported changing the CSC through SamKey successfully.
I have tried flashing with Telstra firmware but no luck.

I initially did *#272*IMEI# and was able to switch between CSC. When I switched to XAA, I was stuck and could not able to use the *#272*IMEI# anymore.. So I had XAA/XAA/ATT.. I saw many were stuck.
Found a solution that worked for me is as follows. Try at your own risk.
Downloaded the tool from
https://www.mysterious-dev.com/2020/05/changecsc-all-samsung-free-tool-android.html
and downloaded the ChangeCSC Software tool.. . watched the video couple of times.. The process lets you install custom THEME.. I was getting "Update" "Delete" and "Buy" ..
What did was
install another random theme
then went back to the program and clicked change CSC again
this time when I choose the custom theme pack, I saw the "Try now".. after that I followed the instruction to about phone->legal and clicked on CHANGE Carrier Android 10 and VOILA!!! I got that CSC change page.. I saw XAA was selected and I changed to TMB... after that "Sales& Network Code Change" and clicked ok.. .The phone restarted and saw the T-Mobile logo!!!!
I even tried the *#272*IMEI# and this time it worked and showed me the CSC screen!!!
Hope this helps anyone who is stuck...My phone now says TMB/TMB/ATT!!!

Hello,
Prior to doing the process. I used smartswitch and backed up my phone completely.. I also did factory reset the phone.. *** Since I was going to use a new method/tool, I was not sure so wanted to make sure it does not interfere with any existing account/app on the phone. Once I was able to get to the CSC screen and changed to TMB, I went back again to make sure do a factory wipe and start complete fresh out. Hope this helps. Good luck!

hmm.. don't recall if it wiped.. I already had T-Mobile sim inside.. so when I saw the CSC selection page and as soon I choose TMB it restarted and came with T-Mobile splash Page, at that point I know it worked, so before even finishing up the boot process, I rebooted in recovery and did the factory reset

I had to do the CSC changing today and it simply rebooted and displayed the new CSC logo. It was with AT&T and when I change it to TMB. I get the T-Mobile boot logo.. I was able to get back in to the device without loosing any data.. The CSC showed TMB/TMB/TMB.. But I noticed the ringer/notifications sound still remained the AT&T settings. So to answer your initial question, my phone didn't get wiped out when switching the CSC.
Thx

I have found *some* Samsung models can still change CSC via firmware flash in Odin by following these pre requisites...
- disable find my phone
- sign out of Google and samsung accounts
- developer mode .... enable oem unlock
- flash a single CSC stock firmware in odin (do not use home-csc)
- phone will be completely wjped but after first boot and running setup, CSC will be change to match new firmware
Have any one tried

Have Xfinity Mobile A50, Unlocked, but can't edit APN's to use with Verizon MVNO

Hi,
I've got a Samsung A50 that I originally got from Xfinity Mobile, a Verizon MVNO. It worked fine when I switched to T-Mobile but wouldn't work on US Mobile, another Verizon MVNO, because on this model you can't change the APN's manually. I suspect that although it was supposed to be unlocked, Xfinity messed with the ROM to make it harder to use on other Verizon services.
Question: Is there a way I could reflash this so it would be a more standard A50, and allow me to edit APN's and then use it on US Mobile. I like the phone, and would love to keep using it but need to be able to manually edit APN's.
thanks for your help.

I'm going to revise and revisit my post so that this goes a little more concisely for anyone who wants to do it in the future - Thanks for hanging in with me Android, too little sleep and time... LOL
Changing your device to VZW CSC - YES So this can certainly be done - XFinity exclusively runs on Verizon's network so your hardware won't give you any issues, you just need new ROM software. Let's start with first things first - did you pay off the device with Xfinity/Comcast and request the code from them to Carrier Unlock (OR carrier unlock it elsewhere) - because we'll need the hardware to be carrier unlocked before we continue too far down the road. I assumed you had - but to generalize it for everyone getting your device carrier unlocked so we CAN change its CSC will be step 1.
1. Make sure your device is Carrier Unlocked - (Will take the sim of any carrier it supports in hardware - not locked to XfinityMobile_ IF you paid off your phone with Xfinity Mobile you can just call them and request an unlock code and they'll send you one - if they can't/won't Samkey has 2 code readers - 1 of them oughta work PM me...
2. Now that you have an unlocked device your hardware will allow you to change CSC flash a new ROM, etc, but you still need the software for that VZW )Verizon) CSC to be available before you can switch your device to it. The vest way to accomplish this purpose is to crossflash yoru device from the carrier specific ROM device you have now the SM-A505U CCT to the SM-A505U1 XAA which is the US multi=carrier rom which wou ld have come with your phone if your bought an unlocked unbranded device fro Samsung direct in the first place - you can turn your unlocked U device into a U1 and back though why you'd want to??? by using the RaymondPatched Odin which will ignore the checks that it's the same model.
The ODIN you shall use for the purpose is the 3.14.1 3B Patched ODIN, and you may find a copy of it in many places one of which is: https://odindownload.club/odin-3-14-1-patched-modded-for-windows/
You shall also need the ROM to flash - it's the ROM for the SM-A505U1 device with the XAA CSC which supports many carriers CSC including yours VZW. One place I like to find such a ROM is at samfw.com but you can use freyja tool and download it directly from Samsung if you wish - you'll just have to work a little harder... If you did this today - this would be the most current rom - just visit the device page for updates US XAA device main page https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U1
Current ROM https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U1/XAA/A505U1UESCCUD2
DL the ROM, unzip it, Make a backup - this will wipe your device and it should to give you a clean install and save probs down the road - use the CSC full file in the Odin slot for CSC not the CSC_Home which will save your data- you don't want to dirty flash a ROM change - the wipe will be better long term... Just backup your stuff first.
Flash your XAA rom to the device- after taking out your SIM of course....
Reboot, insert the VZW Verizon sim - should see that it's setting your device to the Verizon CSC - Profit...
If not, Use Samkey again or the code - but take the 2 off the end for Android 10. Other codes forthcoming to enter engineering - I'm tired just ask...
Good luck
L4XS
I appreciate your help. I believe USC is US Cellular, but I am using US Mobile, a Verizon MVNO so I would need VZW as my CSC. Would SamKey method allow me to change to VZW?
APN Chooser just shortcuts to the Access Points settings, where the add button and the reset to default are greyed out and not functional.
L!V3_4_XC3SS said:
I have an Xfinity device, what they've done with my device is left the underlying functionality intact, but just hidden the menu - with my formerly carrier locked device I took the action of downloading the APN Chooser app from the play store and was able to access the menu to edit my apn settings in this fashion.
You could also potentially buy a couple of SamKey credits and change your CSC to USC from CCT if the combo rom is installed on that phone, but YMMV depending on what Xfinity did to its rom.
If that fails the stock rom for your device (Your current CSC is CCT for Comcast/Xfinity Mobile) can be downloaded from https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U and flashed with Odin or Heimdall either of which can be downloaded there as well - the latest rom of your phone with the US cellular CSC (carrier/country specific code) USC for settings and software is located at https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U/USC/A505USQSCDUE1 Or you can look through all the roms and see which version you want if you don't want the latest and greatest for some reason.
Once again it will WIPE your device - backup what you want . I think I have an extra samkey credit you can have if you want to try that first hit me up in the PMs --
L4XS
PS - If you love US Cellular great - flash the Rom in my link- but if you think you might want to change again flash the XAS ROM (US Wholesale multi-carrier) which you can find easily from the first link on SamFW.com or you can use frija tool from the Samsung servers or whichever ROM source you prefer - if you install that one the CSC will switch to the settings of whatever carrier's sim you put in - you can see the carriers included on each rom by searching your model on samfw.com.

There's a good place to edit instead of making you read through the old stuff that's we found out is irrelevant. Comcast and Xfinity which are the same thing and Verizon both love to mess with their ROMS, The really the only way to proceed here and I know it gave you a scary message but if you already have your device unlocked directly from Xfinity they should have given you a code if you asked for one when you paid it off and you obviously have one or else you wouldn't have been able to use a T-Mobile SIM. Since the one-time thing if your device is unlocked it's unlocked perpetually. Which means now you can change by flashing from a single CSC ROM sm-a505u U model crossflash it with the patched Odin by Raymond will work that's 3 14. 1- B3 Patched crossflashb a U1 multi-device XAA rom regardless of whatever scary warning Samkey showed you.
They're easy to find or I can even attach him you can find the ROM on Samfw.com

Looks like I was reading too quickly... LOL - Yeah so with the US Mobile MVNO the best route is to do exactly that - change your CSC to VZW which is Verizon which network it's US Mobile MVNO's - and then manually enter the proper settings for your APN once you've inserted that sim - it will likely get you the correct default settings if you reset your network settings in the settings > General >reset network as the Verizon network knows how to handle US mobile sim traffic - but it's not a big deal to enter manually. If you don't have the functionality after a CSC change you'll have to change CSC and flash the VZW Rom which will definitely do the deed -
Try samkey First it's easier - I'll send you a u/p that I stil have

Thanks! I appreciate it. Fingers crossed.
So I checked the CSC on the phone after Odining a current Verizon firmware, but it is still CCT,CCT,CCT (comcast).

Ohhkay then... Let's get done for you what you wanted here... full change to VZW as your CSC --- You're not far off - CCT, is Xfinity Mobile - which is an MVNO that runs exclusively on the Verizon (VZW) network so I guess it was close- It would only have switched again if the phone had Xfinity sim into a device with relevant multi-CSC firmware... That being said, - If you want to switch it to Verizon on a device with either the multi-rom XAA or the VZW ROM that you flashed plus a SIM from the relevant network - or if you're a crazy like me who like to use 2 different CSC's on a dual-sim device - you don't even need more codes of SamKey -- do the following methodology and you should get what you want.
Using Google's phone dialer or a dialer of your choice that allows codes to be initialized - if you have stock Samsung phone you can try this minus the outside set of *# #* and see what you get...
Enter the Service Mode on your device as follows: Using the dialer from above type into ita *#*#276633683782#*#* -- This is for Android 11 OneUI 3.0+ take off the 2 for an older version Samsung device if you want to generalize my instructions.
You will enter the engineering menus at (5) RF TEST -- You may not use your normal back key to navigate here, you will exit the menus... Instead you will select the 3 dots top right corner which gives you the options - END, BACK, HELP, WIFI -- End/Back are going to be the ones that are relevant - don't bother with help it's not helpful... Back - the obvious, END, kicks you out of engineering and back to your phone.
Select your only choice - 5 RF TEST - and then a couple more random things (DON'T mess with the settings unless you know what it does) until it kicks you back to the full main menu.
It's going to have options 1-7 and say MAIN MENU at the top - You will be selecting option 1 - PROTOCOL STATE , then at the following menu Select 6 - PROTOCOL SIMULATION which you select and then you will be brought to a 3 option PROTOCOL SIMULATION menu -- Select 2 IMEI PRE CFG SIMULATION - which will take you to a 5 option menu - AP - (YOUR CURRENT CSC) --> and then you get to choose CSC options that you have available to simulate - but the thing is when you reboot after simming it, it will change your CSC settings for real if you've got a SIM and ROM from VZW or the Multi carrier XAA rom. - If you've got a verizon sim you should be able to change the 2 options CSC of AP and NET1 to VZW which will put you where you need to be - or some of the other US carriers... - Change the top 2 (or 3 if you have a dual sim device setup) CSC's to your preference - write them, reboot, It'll see your sim and change to your VZW network you wanted in the first place.
Let me know how this goes for you - I've done everything you can do with that phone - if you've got the right ROM on there which do - I'll bet you can get it to a VZW stock device - install their apps, delete their bloatware with the ADB command line, and you should be good.
Good luck bud, Let me know how it goes..

The first step gets me in HW test, and then I can't get anywhere else.
So thanks for the updating of your ROM and Device specs, and that shed the light necessary for me to understand where we are at with your device...
So the reason this has happened is because this was an originally carrier locked - model U with only a specific carrier's ROM prob the Xfinity CCT - that's the only thing it could give you as far as a CSC which is why SamKey didn't get it done for you. I'll be happy to give you another SamKey code but you won't need it - and I'll also give you a different corrected code for entry intp the menus for the second methodology I spoke about as well...
To fix this situation you'll need:
A copy of the Raymond patch version of Odin which is 3.14.1 3B Patched you can search or here's one place -- https://odindownload.club/odin-3-14-1-patched-modded-for-windows/
It needs to be patched even though you're flashing stock FW because you're going to crossflash a U device to a U1 rom which is fine 'cus it's the same hardware but full official Odin still wouldnt' allow it. This will allow you to flash a rom to your device with the XAA CSC which the multi rom... it supports myriad US carriers including the one you want. VZW...
Remember that you're going to want to backup important data before you execute this procedure - you always want to use the full CSC file in the relevant Odin slot when you change a device's ROM not the HOME_CSC (you can get away with it if you're changing CSC on same rom) because you need a wipe to ensure the best possible flash on your device - don't dirty flash the U1 ROM in an attempt to avoid backup & keep your data it will bring problems down the road.
Take out your sim before flashing the new rom
Flash your SM-A505u device with the orginal CCT CSC to a u1 (originally unlocked) device with the XAA CSC as follows:
Download the latest XAA rom for the sm-A505U1 device
here's one place that usually does a decent speed download:
https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U1 then go choose XAA in the CSC box,
If you did it today this would be the latest ROM https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A505U1/XAA/A505U1UESCCUD2
I usually recommend the latest unless you have some reason you don't want to increment your bootloader or etc. not usually relevant.
You have the patched ODIN from above, already, so now you DL the latest rom for the U1 device with the XAA CSC (American Multi-rom has a bunch of US CSC's
Extract the ODIN, unzip the Rom zip file into its parts - run the ODIN find the unzipped roms pieces and put them where they go -- except home_csc won't need that one this time. Reboot phone into download/odin mode adb reboot download at the adb prompt ought to do it 4u, and then when it comes up you can flash the rom... as i stated above
After a successful flash/reboot change CSC to VZW by rebooting after you insert the sim card of your preferred network and then it should change you over to the new CSC appropriately. In your case VZW (Verizon) should be on point.
If for some reason it doesn't, I'll give you another samkey credit or you can go for the 2nd method you won't need any credits - enter the service mode by
*#*#197328640#*#* instead of my first code and let's see where that gets us...
You could use this same situation for an international A50 device but you'd have to sub the correct ROM for your region..
Sorry this one was a little convoluted but we'll get there... Maybe I'll come back and clean it when it works for you so it will be more useful to others.

You aren't going to get locked out because you are going to get rid of that RoM that Comcast and Verizon have done a number on you got a proceed by a cross flashing your device which is hardware identical to the U1 unlocked device with the US multi-rom which is the XAA ROM available on samfw.com. Search sm-A505U1 then XAA there will be a bunch of cscs in most every us provider but that's what the xaa multi-rom does.. it gives you an unbranded device and then when you put in that Verizon sim you should switch you over automatically.. in other words with a SIM card from Verizon you should end up with the VZW CSC accordingly... But if not you can use the two methods one of Sam key you certainly welcome to have another credit or two if you need them. You're not going to break your device or leave it permanently locked and you're not getting much utility out of the damn thing anyway as is but I've done Chimera on flashing I've done all sorts of crazy things to the Samsung devices and you really they're pretty hard to break if you really really know what you're doing and how to restore things even from the Qualcomm edl mode I mean that modem is always listening for something you got to cross flash to that XAA ROM once you've done that with patched Odin your device will for all intents and purposes be exactly like the unlocked device that somebody bought directly from Samsung in the first place. I'm not going to attach the xaa ROM for obvious reasons but here's the correct Odin.

Yay! success at last. I can't thank you enough. Did what you said, it flashed fine, and inserted my Verizon sim, and the phone switched right over. Phone works, for data, text and voice!
Interestingly enough, the APN section of settings is still greyed out for adding or editing APN's, but since everything is working, I can live with that.
Best of all, no more Xfinity Mobile branding on the phone!
Thanks a million.

I'm glad you were able to achieve a good outcome finally brother just had to fully understand where we started before we could get to the finish line-
FYI, I think in this case the grayed APN's are because it's actually being managed by Verizon's high permissioned carrier specific app which has the ability to enable/disable settings which it wants to take over itself and manage this 4u - they will send out configuration info over the air and your device will make the adjustment automatically with no intervention required from Joe User. Verizon is notorious for thinking they know better and doing this sort of thing - Xfinity that you had before runs entirely on the VZW network so you probably had the same thing there... you might be able to get em with an management app or a hiddensettings app if you really want to play around with your APN's but Verizon's thing actually does a pretty good job of keeping you on the network at a decent speed - most people wouldn't be able to improve on the verizon privileged app and it's management anyway so there's not much upside to making minor tweaks.
Hope you enjoy your sojourn on the Verizon network

Howdy all-
I have a similar situation....I have a Galaxy A50 that was previously on Xfinity mobile. I just unlocked it with the code Xfinity provided but it is not working on US Mobile for me. No voice, text or data. USMobile tech support says it could take a day or two to "fully" unlock but I think that is a crock of $hit.
I can't change APNs and Network Operator is greyed out and says Xfinity Mobile with the new US Mobile SIM card installed.
It's my son's phone and I really do not want to wipe it to make it usable on US Mobile. Any way to adjust the settings without wiping the phone?

So you have an unlocked phone orignating with Xfinity Mobile -
I'll tell ya that's a complete crock of **** - just a phone rep not wanting to ruin his call stats actually trying to solve your problem - they don't have the knowledge to do it anyway so don't worry about it. So you want to get it to work on US Cellular's network without any love - which version of Android is it running? 10?
Tell me what it says in the APN if you have access to APN settings... What I'm asking is does it have any correct settings for US Mobile, or is it still pointing to the Xfinity servers (Verizon) because that could very well be the issue is that your phone needs to be provisioned on the network.
I assume your US Mobile sim is active, just not connecting in that hardware? type into the Samsung dialer (Phone) if you haven't changed anything, *#4636#* put another set of *# #* on the outside if you're using google dialer, shift the cell info refresh rate toggle to immediate, and tell me which toggles are set to provisioned. Go ahead and scroll down to the bottom, trigger a carrier provisioning event there and let's see if that gives us anything.
Thanks for taking the time to try to help me out.
I can get to the APN setting screen but when I get there, all that I see is that it says " Access Point Name settings are not available for this user " . I cannot add or edit anything like I have done on other phones (like my GS9 for example).
It is running Android 11 and I 'unlocked' it using the code provided by Xfinity Mobile although it seems the code does not fully unlock the thing.
I'm trying to get it to work on US Mobile by the way NOT US Cellular (they are different, right?)
Obviously we

Yes they are certainly different US Mobile is an MVNO that operates on Tmobile and Verizon, so thanks for making that clear. OK so your phone is unlocked for network but Verizon/Xfinity (operates on Verizon network exclusivey) like to mess around with their roms and there's a secondary lock sometines on these devices which greys out the APN - they dont want the end user to be able to mess with it... first of all do you have the option to reset the APN settings? Sometimes that will push it out as it did for the OP of this thread. I'm not sure I've ever seen a viable solution to access this greyed out APN so type in the code *#4636#* in the default samsung phone dialer and down at the bottom trigger carrier provisioning and see if you can get US Mobile to push out a new APN to your phone first of all. Sorry for the double post - thought the first one was lost. Had a connectivity issue myself... LOL

Yes they are indeed 2 separate providers, the one you are trying is an MVNO which operates on T-Mobile and Verizon - so good news at least the device is compatible... LOL... so put in the code that I edited my first post to show you *#*#4636#*#* in the google dialer, or if you still have the default Samsung phone app take off the outside set of *# #* and tell me which toggles are on, you can change which bands it operates on, do a ping test for data connectivity, and down at the bottom you should be able to trigger carrier provisioning - do that please, pull the simcard, put it back in, then reboot your device and tell me if any connectivity was restored first of all - that would mean the APN was pushed out by the network to your device. Verizon & Xfiniity have a secondary lock on the APN they **** around with their ROMS so people have a hard time using a device on another network. Annoying. But we'll get it. Let me know where we stand.
Well...I have used that code before on other phones to find out how it is locked etc. When I put it in on the A50, absolutely nothing happens now, unfortunately. I did do the code before the phone was unlocked and the phone was still on Xfinity, and the only lock that was present was the carrier lock. When I got the unlock code from Xfinity and started the phone with a new SIM from USMobile, I did get the prompt for the unlock code and entering the provided code seemed to get me past the Carrier lock. But...still in my current OP situation...
That second prompt when you put in the US Mobile Sim is deceiving - that's what we wanted... 000000 or 123456 probably would have done it - I think it's the same as the SPC (Service Programming Code) there is almost no research in this area that I've been able to find outside of my own, and I'm limited in what I can do because I'm not in possession of an A-50 with the problem so if we get this you're helping others by bearing with me.
Of course the obvious thing that could be done is to just fflash the multi-rom with the US Mobile CSC included, like we did above, but that still won't unlock the APN - it's just likey to populate it with the correct values from the carrier. To do that properly would wipe your son's A50
So let's try to unlock this as it's the first best choice...
Go get this and tell me what it says on the status of your sim - should be nework unlocked but it may show the secondary protection.

As there are a lot of folks who didn't find this obscure thread who will be happy if we figure it out. Let's try the easy stuff first and then I'll get into the ADB command line stuff and tools and codes if we can't get any love with this . So first let's try to clear the prompt "This user not allowerd to change APN Settinggs, etc.::
Make sure that you are in the range of a known Wifi Network and follow the next steps:
Turn on Wifi and wait for your phone to connect to it
While connected to the Wifi Network, reboot the phone
As soon as the device restarts it will automatically connect to the previous Wifi network
Go to APN settings following the above-mentioned path and check if you are now able to view/edit
OR
Turn Wifi ON
Go to Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Network Operators
A search will be executed and afterward, the list will be populated with one or more Network Operators
Choose the Network Provider from where you bought the SIM card
Go to Access Point Names and add the new APN
Save the data and done.
OR
With Wifi on pull your sim and reboot the phone - once booted reinsert your sim and see if it asks for a code....
Try 000000, if that doesnt' work try 123456
If none of that works We will make the attempt to access the APN settings using ADB which is the command line Android Debug Bridge... if you don't have it installed there are guides on how to do so all over XDA, the ADB shell runs not quite as root but at a much higher privilege than the normal user account, so we'll try it from there if none of those work. I 'm sorry I don't have the device or I'd come back with a definitive how to - but for now we'll have to go trial and error, guarantee we'll figure it out, it's I know Samsung devices in general and they're not that different. Many roads my friend.

Question Does insert the sim change csc automatically?

Hi, i have a stock firmware AUT (switzerland) installed, but if i insert swisscom (SWC) sim, does it automatically change AUT to SWC? Thanks
Using SIM of another country does change CSC, if it didn't, simply go to recovery mode and it shall apply the new CSC code.
However, it's not guaranteed which CSC will it convert to, as there were reports of a different applied CSC code than the country's one.
I found patched Odin 3B.
You can reflash rom for any possible region and 3 fields in CSC will be changed. Last one no.

It won't wipe anything unless you manually change CSC using dial code or any other way to trigger the change.
Using another country's SIM does change CSC (after a reboot). You sound like you don't want to change CSC .. right?

The Operating System has a list of every SIM carrier out there. The SIM itself does tell the phone which country it belongs to.
Using different carriers on the se device, in the same country does not trigger CSC change. The trigger only starts when another country is reported to the phone.
If you want to skip CSC change, there may be two ways, either root your device, or disable the system apps responsible for it.

You receive a brand new phone >> The phone asks you to insert the SIM card and reboot >> You follow >> The phone applies the new CSC code respectively for your country >> You simply use your phone as a normal citizen would in that country.
You return back to your country >> You insert your country's SIM >> Phone asks you to reboot >> Your original CSC is back.
Thank you so much!!!

Question Z Fold 3 EUX issue

Hello,
"once again" these is an issue with the CSC.
This time the phone is buyed from UK but I want to use it in my country (Bulgaria)
I've made the mistake to make the initial setup without a SIM and now I am getting
EUX/-/EUX/EUX
Can someone explain to me these things:
1. What is the meaning of the second 'code' which in my case is "-" ?
2. Is there any way to force a change considering that I've tried everything listed online (turn wi-fi off, remove sim, add sim, add different sim from my country and so on) ?
3. The phone is only 1 day in my posetion, is it possible that the service provider trigger will happen and it just needs some time?
4. is samKEY my final option and is it working without any issues?
The only thing that I haven't tried yet is the Factory reset but I will.
Also, I am getting updates and not having any issues whatsoever except that I can't use Samsung Pay ( your device is not supported message ) so maybe I just don't have to bother too much?
Thanks in advance.
p.s the battery life is alful so far, 4h SOT
Even if I can't tell you, why there is an /-/ I'm shure, there's nothing to worry about it.
I have it in mine as well, as EUY/-/EUY/EUY version. Everything absolutely original, no modifications wathsoever.
I don't think, I have an EUY issue ...

EUY/-/EUY/EUY these numbers indicate your region code. Samsung assigns different regions short abbreviations to the firmware. what you need to do is to go to https://samfirms.com/ and search for your phone model and choose the region that you currently live currently. then use odin and flash it
