USB-C dongle w/45W chg & 3.5mm Headphone Jack - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Accessories

I see some of these online... but when used with 45W wall charger from Samsung, do all versions properly pass the 45W through to the phone, or does the dongle interfere?
USB C to 3.5mm Headphone Adapter, Ebeylo 2 in 1 Audio Adapter and Fast Charging Dongle Compatible for Pixel 3/3XL/Pixel 2/2 XL, iPad pro 2018,Essential Phone, HTC and More White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NZ32Q81/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RDdwDbB6DZVNF

I don't like the fact it claims it protects device against excess current. It says it supports PD fast charging though so it should be good.

Well, I bought this and tested it:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/moshi-...e-jack-adapter-silver/6352696.p?skuId=6352696
And it appears it only allows rates of charging higher than 5W if you plug it into the phone first, then plug the charging wire into it, not the other way around. My excitement was short- lived though...
I am going to return it, because after much testing it became apparent that it cannot charge at a rate higher than ~15W, when it should have allowed ~25 (and this with trying the meter both before and after the dongle)..

there's gotta be a cheaper dongle

Do not buy any of these unless from samsung!
I just checked the "Samsung Members" app and saw this warning. I will post more here as I learn anything...

But i need an EU exit which is 2 round pins, is it possible to buy it somewhere ? i need the Samsung official one. I do have different adapters but its not the same like the real one, most of them don't fit. Moreover i use a EzoPower travel international wall charger but the speed of charging is less then half of the real charger.
Thx!

I use all sorts of third party chargers and they pretty much all work, What you need to look for is the rated amperage. the GN needs a 1 amp charger, most chargers out there for cell phones are rated at 750 mA or 500 mA.
You should also check to make sure the phone is in "AC Charge" mode, as this will indicate that it's trying to draw the full power from the wall charger, if it's set as "USB Charge" it will only draw 500mA regardless of what it's connected to. You can cheat this by shorting the two data pins, this will force the phone into AC mode.
something like this would do the job, at 2 amps, it's overkill, but I assure you, your phone will charge *Very* fast.

The trick, look for chargers designed for the Ipad that have a USB port, then use your own wire.
The EU model ETA0U80E,
http://www.expansys-usa.com/samsung...r-for-galaxy-note-5-3-eu-micro-usb-1a-224814/
it's thesame EU nexus come in box.
try also ETA0U10E, same, but without USB cable.

Could Galaxy S3 use Qi wireless charger?

Anybody use it, please give some suggestion.

I use it on my S3. The charging speed is not that fast compared to USB, which I think is well-known. The back cover gets a bit warm also, and I have an Otterbox Commuter case as well, which gets a little bit warm also. It charges just fine through the case.
This is the one that I ordered, as it came with the charging pad and receiver for the phone.
http://www.fasttech.com/product/1146700-qi-inductive-wireless-charging-upgrade-kit-for-sam
Hope this helps!
I have one of the first gen receiver pads and it charges faster than USB but slower than AC.
check ebay. use search terms like "i9300 qi reciever"
just get the reciever pad.
the best charger pad imo is the nokia ones. they're regularly on sale from 20 -25 bucks for the most part. just do some searching online.

Any Wireless charging system or standard that has the two contacts to fit the contacts that are in the Battery compartment and fits will work....A wireless Standard isn't built into the phones, just the Transmitter and Receiver Coils....
QI wireless charging is nice... However I notice the connector from the QI receiver will interfere with the smart cover slot anyone?
look what i found^^

I
notice there is 2 connection on the smart cover.. the QI receiver use same slot...
You can find a quality charger kit on ebay... just to be safe... look for "Top Rated Seller" and someone with high feedback score to be safe..
oh, and because i'm such a sweetheart:

18 bucks for a really decent charging pad. I have 2. one for my bed side and one on my desk.
This one works great with mine and I have the lifeproof case on it.

Of course you can not break yusb port, only one drawback - the phone longer charged

[Review]CHOETECH QI Inductive Wireless Charging Pad T511 *New Version*

Hello,
I got a great discount from <MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED> on a QI Inductive Wireless Charging Pad for an honest and unbiased review.
I had to pay a few Euro though but that was ok for me since I didn´t ever used the wireless charging functionality of my Nexus 5 (2013) and Nexus 7 (2013) before and wanted to see the difference
<MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED>
The build quality is nice, I didn´t see any sharp edges. The text markings are easy to read too. The surface has a nice soft touch feel.
This charger can deliver a max. power output of 7.5W and requires a max. input power of 10W ( 5V @ 2A max. USB charger ).
There is no USB charger included but that should not be a problem for most guys here

Tests:
I used the App Ampere for the tests in order to have a good guess, if the charger can deliver some serious current output.
The best readout I could get was about 690mA which is lower than the 900mA up to 1A current you might get from a regular USB charger when using a cable.
I also checked the efficiency of the QI Inductive Wireless Charging Pad itself by hooking it up to my DIY Power Supply. The current drawn by this charger was about 1,1A while delivering the 690mA to the phone.
If there is no phone attached, I could read out a pulsating current with a max. amplitude of about 100mA. This charger will use nearly no power at all if it doesn´t load a phone.
Well, the phone is charged at a lower current because the inductive charging is not as efficient but the difference is still tolerable.
You can use such a pad on your night stand to charge the phone during the night, without having to fiddle around with any cables
I´m happy with this Charging Pad though and I hope that this one will last for a while.
Did you make similar experiences too ?

QI Charger stand. Difference?

Hello there fellers...
Is there any difference between last gen. wireless charging stand and the new one released together for S8?
Does the new one have faster charging speed?

I got one and did not like it. Unlike the Samsung Qi charger I had purchased for my car, this one seems to cycle constantly. So it goes on battery, and the phone discharges for a while, then it starts charging, then you get a full charge and it turns off and the cycle starts over. I found it too annoying to use.
Thanks. The new convertible stand looks great but is a bit expensive for now.
Edit: I read on a review for this model that "the correct power supply must be used for it to function properly."

If you mean that it should use the cables/wall plug that it came with, yes, that's true. I have two of them and without a quickcharging cable/cable, it doesn't charge/work as a quick charger.
Sindroid,
Here is the one I have been using
https://www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Char...24826&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+wireless+charger
Works very well, not high speed but 3.5 hours for full charge and very sturdy. Also has the rubberized grip so very sturdy for the phone to sit on as well. Highly recommend it.

This looks very cool. Does it come with cables and a wall plug? I see "a" cable, but not sure if comes with all the necessary cables. I found it on the US site for $25 (guessing that's what it is at the exchange for CAD).
I'm using the new convertible charger. So far so good.

UGREEN USB-PD 30W Charger + Type-C Braided Cables - Unboxing and Review

After having tested the Quick Charge 3 chargers, it is time to test the USB-PD ones. This model in particular is the 30W variant with 1x Type-C Output.

Starting from the materials, the charger feels pretty solid with no glossy parts.
For best results, i have combined this charger with 2x Type-C to Type-C cables from the same brand, and the quality is excellent with a thick braided cable and metal shielded plugs. Unfortunately this charger doesn't include any Type-C cable.
Its power output looks to be as good as it should be, and my Essential Phone PH-1 was able to charge at lightning fast speeds with no issues. Unfortunately i am not able to show any voltage output for this because my USB Tester doesn't support USB-PD.
I am going to add more details about this test as soon as i get my hands on a new USB Tester.
As regards the Type-C cables instead, i am kinda disappointed. 4.62v for a 3A load is quite low, and this is the shorter variant. Basically, the thickness mentioned before is probably only due to the braiding and not to the internal wires (20AWG declared, i have some doubts about this). This test has been made using the Quick Charge Charger already tested previously. (link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/accessories/ugreen-4-ports-desktop-charger-quick-t3830526)
So, apparently this is a placebo, since again i can say that the charger is great thus i can recommend it, but i can't recommend any of those cables due to high resistance of them.

Nice review that u have but I think there's only a small users whose gonna buy this kind of charger
Can you help us by telling how much battery was charged in how many minutes and was that result obtained when you were using the phone (light usage like watching media etc) or switched off state or was it when screen was not lit?
