I discovered how to enable PIXEL gestures on Global ROM (v1.16) - Nubia Red Magic 3 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hey guys, I was perusing the internet when I came upon a setting to enable the PIXEL gestures on the OnePlus 6 so on a whim I tried the ADB command on the Red Magic 3 and IT WORKED!
The command is as follows:
Code:
adb shell settings put secure swipe_up_to_switch_apps_enabled 1
For reference I'm running the v1.16 global rom (with ROOT [Magisk]).
Just incase any of this had any affect on it, my current Magisk modules are:
QuickSwitch (with Lawnchair V2)
Substratum (with FLUX theme)
Viper4Android FX (v2.7.1.0).
--
I don't see any reason why this would NOT work on a non-rooted phone though. You just need ADB with Developer Options enabled and USB Debugging to run the command.

}

Whoops! It turns out you DO need root to enable this.
I wiped the user storage partition of the device and tested the command and it had no effect until I installed Lawnchair v2 and used the Quickstep Magisk module to designate it the recents provider.
So again steps to enable this:
1) Root device via Magisk
2) Install Quickstep Magisk module.
3) Install Lawnchair v2 and set as default home.
4) Use Quickstep to set Lawnchair v2 as recents provider.
5) Run the adb command in the post above.

Whoops #2. There is a setting in Lawnchair once you have the recents provider setup to enable or disable the swipe up. No ADB needed.

Can you make a video tutorial. thank you very much

Viper4Android for 4.4 w/install guide

Viper4Android now officially supports KitKat with version 2.3.1.3
If you don't know what it is, it's a sound mod on steroids:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Note: Do not even consider the Viper4Android app in the Play Store.
I thought I'd write up a quick and easy install guide. It used to be more complicated to install, having to choose the CPU etc. Now it's much more self configuring
I've never needed to do more than this. But in the OP of the Viper thread there are things about installing it as a system app, setting permissions, etc. But this has always worked for me (On Note II and 2012 N7)
But you might want to review the installation notes anyway
You must be rooted and have Busybox installed
Be sure you have unknown sources enabled in Settings/Security and I always uncheck verify sources but that's up to you.
Download Viper4Android - It's small 7mb (the downloads are right after the Last Update Log)
I have found the easiest way to install is to use Root Explorer, but the idea will be the same for any file manager.
In Root Explorer
Navigate to the folder where your download is
Long press Viper4Android_FX
Choose Extract All
The file will start extracting and will only take a few seconds
You will be prompted to 'Go to extracted' choose that option
Open the folder Viper4Android_FX by clicking on it
Click on the apk Viper4Android_4.x_(version you downloaded)
When prompted choose install
Follow the prompts
Then choose Done, or Open if you want to go straight to the Viper4 install routine
Open the Viper4 app in your app drawer and follow the prompts
Grant the app root access
When prompted to install/update the driver choose Yes
Choose the Audio Quality you want. I have always chosen Super Audio Quality so I can't comment on the others.
When prompted about needing a dual-core CPU choose OK
Press Ok when prompted to reboot your phone.
Reboot your phone
Launch Viper
Under the menu check driver status it should show the version and Status: Normal
If you enabled it already it will say Enabled: Yes
On the web site there are instruction to change these lines in build.prop - if you have them - I didn't have them
Ipa.decode=true to lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=true to tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true to lpa.use-stagefright=false
Under the menu there is an option for the UI mode. It simple sets how many options you see. Personally I use Expert because it exposes more setting for Automatic Gain Control that I need to dial in what I like. But it exposes a lot of stuff I never use.
There is information in the Viper thread about the settings, some are not particularly clear, and other options for getting Viper working with the Apps you use. I've never had to do anything special to have it work with the Media apps I use which is Google Play, Pandora and Slacker and a few (free) music players.
How do you know if it's working? I always read you have to enable it in settings - sounds - sound effects, but I don't have that in cm11. I already deleted DSP, but how do I know my audio is being processed with Viper?

Set compability Mode from normal to compatible . And reboot. If you listen music on Apollo, you can go to settings and check Viper FX in equalizer.

Hello! I recently installed viper on my Galaxy, but am having the issue that its not affecting sound output. I disabled LPA (Low Power Audio) as recommended by the app, installed busybox, and installed the needed drivers. I proceeded to wildly adjust every parameter but noticed exactly no difference, which leads me to believe the app is not working properly. Could someone please throw me in the right direction?
P.S. My phone is rooted, I have Xposed and SuperSU working properly

Dev notes
Full Unlock,
it was pretty easy, everyone used stupids toolkit that may work or not. Adb and fastboot are the most useful and powerful tools.
I've changed the order to unlock device that everyone used. Why first root, then recovery and then bootloader?? Do you need the keys to change a car engine? Nope, so it's the same thing for an android device. Fist I boot a recovery to get adb root (stock kernel doesn't allow it, but a recovery automatically give adb root acces even if phone is not rooted), then I'll push file to unlock bootloader to sdcard and then unlock it. After this I flash recovery, then flash any root package. Done! And it works with any rom.

About Lg L3 II,
apparently this device has no bootloader to imput fastboot commands needed for the full unlock, read notes inside bat file

About Lg L3,
this is the only device I own of the four I support... Now there's no recovery that allow both adb shell and sideload so I've to push every file to sdcard. When there will be a recovery where both adb shell and sideload are working I'll change a few lines of code and it will be OK.

About Crazy Mode,
it's made for crazy users that may brik their devices and make strange things with their pc. When crazy mode is enabled there's no way to quit it and it may lag your pc like hell (until reboot) so you won't be able to do anything because you're crazy and you may destroy something.

Try to flash "MagiskHide Props Config" module at first and than flash the camera2 api module or pix3lify module. It should work.

Yes, but IF you remove the root with magisk, is going to crash and block the boot, you need to boot with the magisk-patched to be root.
1.boot the twrp
2.go to backup and only save "boot"
3.reboot to sistem
4.in te magisk manager app go to install and select and patch a file and select the boot backup where is in the TWRP carpet. (Its going to create a .img in Downloads)
5. Pass the magiskParched file to the PC and reboot to fastboot.
6. Boot with the magiskpatched.
Its going to reboot to the sistem but with root, and if you reboot again you lost the root, so eneable the camera2 api with Termux and do something that you need root, then reboot to fastboot and lock the bootloader, (press the - volumen to not lost data) and you have eneable the camera2 api without root and twrp,
(YOU MUSNT HAVE TO BE ROOT)

What command should I enter? I've enabled USB debugging and granted rights for FNG, but despite this, the option to remove control keys doesn't work. How to do it with a manual command? I'd love to see if it works via PC, and then possibly buy a LADB to do it from phone. BTW I have a ABD Shell for Tasker already

I was referring to the LADB configuration, I couldn't get the pairing to work properly at first, but I used the hint about two windows and then it worked. It would be nice to force Tasker to work this way, so that using its ADB plugin it automatically enters this command after a reboot. When I find time I might look into it, for now I'm happy. Thanks again.

Tasker allows you to set this global var after each boot via a Custom Setting (no need for ADB plugin)
Create a Profile > Event > System > Device Boot

Interesting option - is it working without root?
Yes, you just need to grant Tasker WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission via ADB
