No just the device you don't need anything else

I'll be sending in a pristine iPhone 6 64gb to VZW for $450. Keeping my Note 8 as back up.

Just for info i record the phone and packing just to have proof

i had 3 note 9s to trade for three 10+'s -- thats $1,800.00 in trade credit that I want to make sure I dont have any problems with.
I took videos of all 3 phones being reset in realtime. I then sent an email to samsung with a link to the videos and photos. got a ticket number in case any issues. all 3 phones in factory fresh no scratch direct from the factory mint level condition so I expect zero issues but best to have insurance in place.

Sent my Pixel 3XL in. Of course took pics and a video. Extreme bubble wrap as well.

Well they received my phone yesterday got email now being evaluated i sent in really fast to avoid the overload of trade ins coming in. It seems that when they start having issues when they have so many

Do anyone think these are going to be any issue? Screen and everything else are in pristine condition and I did chat with Samsung explaining the condition and they said as long screen and back galas is not cracked, I should be fine and I even saved that chat. After seeing this thread, I kept feeling bad for not mailing the phone on Wednesday itself.

That's what I was expecting to receive an email from Samsung but if you go to your Samsung order, you will see the FedEx label

I got the "Welcome to the Samsung trade in program" right after I got the delivered email when I got the Note10+
I did the trade in earlier for the S10+ and it went smooth. I'm just repeating what i did and expect the same. I removed all accounts, took pictures of the entire phone and the factory data reset process and put them in the shipping box with the other side of the shipper that says to leave in the box. I also put the trade in S10+ in it's original box.
Last time I did get an email from samsung accepting the trade in as well. That was a few weeks after I shipped it.
Dropping it off at fed ex tomorrow

Got an email today that one of the 3 note 9 trade ins were delivered. Email states 5-7 working days for the status on the trade in.
Like others i took videos, sent photos, and started a ticket to show links to where these images can be viewed at. All 3 had the original box, the original plastic overlay on the screen as well as the back plastic overlay. I even included the charger brick, cable (never used them anyway) the tool to swap the stylus tip and the bar codes tmo shipped with them. I did keep the ear buds and cushions though..

Same here, 5-7 days for evaluation. S10e mint condition, recorded long video of shiny front & back surfaces and the packing process. Wrapped inside bubble foil.

I bought my N8 10 days ago and immeditely applied for the Google Play Store credit - I haven't received the confirmation email either. I have called 3 times and written to Samsung Support from their Facebook page several times. I was told that they are having issues with this process and that a supervisor would call me within 24 hours. That was 5 days ago..... no call yet. They're really making us work for that $25.
Got I t pretty fast actually then I got a 10 dollar prepaid debit card because I participated in a survey for Samsung about screen sizes for the next note 3. I guess theyre real interested on what is too small too big and jussssst right. Thanks samsung. I didn't believe theyd send me anything but sure enough about a week later I got it in the mail.

Moral of the story. Read those emails Samsung sends you when you register because they offer you to take surveys sometimes and even thought they might take 20 minutes they actually do pay up.

Same here. I think they are letting the guys who handled the first recall work on sending out the boxes!
So i guess we just keep the phone. No box yet. The V20 is dope
I called Verizon AGAIN a few days ago and finally spoke with someone who had a clue. He said they just got the boxes and a SKU has been assigned to them so they can ship them out. He said I should be getting mine in 3 to 5 business days.
Well if they send a box ill send back the phone. im not going out of my way to do it. Im really liking the V20 now.
I received my replacement phone(S7edge) on Oct 20 and was told I would get the "special Box" to send back my Note7, soon. Well it has been 10 days and I received the box on the 11th day. So long Note 7, I am really gonna miss you! I really did like the phone! The Note 8 cant get here fast enough!

Turns out that Verizon gave me the phone number to the Samsung center handling the recall boxes. I got that box sent 2nd day air and I put the phone in it and send it UPS ground.
I called to see if they got the phone and they said they did and my check will be sent in a couple of days. I asked what check and they are sending me a full price refund (over $800) !

No, I paid for an upgrade ($299)
---------- Post added at 06:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 PM ----------
I got a box for my phone, then I got a second. A third just shipped.
I too waited patiently for the return shipment box to arrive. I finally gave up and called Verizon support asking when the return shipment box would arrive, given that I will not receive credit until I send it back. They made up some story about having already shipped it to me a week ago, but quickly offered to reship it. It arrived via FedEx this morning.
My question is, are people keeping the S pen when returning the awesome Note 7? I have someone with a Note 5 that may find it useful.
Lots of inconsistencies throughout this process.
I just got off the phone with the local Verizon corporate store. The lady said I need to bring the phone to them to get a refund of what i paid ($299+tax). I mentioned hearing about a special box to return the phone to Samsung and the lady said they take care of all that for me.
She also said starting 7th they will be deactivating the phones that are still in use.

Trade in via Samsung, packaging for old phone?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else opted to trade in a phone as part of Samsung's website offer? I did, and was expecting to get some return packaging for the old phone alongside the new, but didn't. A Samsung FAQ says don't use the S9 return packaging, so does the trade in packaging arrive separately?
Thanks!
Got a response from Samsung on Facebook - return packaging comes separately for the trade in phones!
I would recommend taking photos of your phone before shipping it back. You do not want to be advised of a different value for the phone when it is received.

I got my S9 from the Samsung Upgrade Program, the box the S9 came in is the same box I returned my S7 in. I put the boxed S7 in (no accessories like charger etc.) and it has a bit of sticky tape to re-seal the box, there was also a return shipping label in the box. I just dropped it at my local DPD pickup point.
And as Bxrider117 says, take pictures of everything.

I glad I read this, I found my email in the spam folder. I been waiting for something from samsung to tell me what to do with the trade in phone .
I am still waiting to get my tracking number on my S9 that I pre-ordered on March 6th from Samsung. I called today and said I would be getting a tracking number by email and that the return box would be sent separate
hello
For anyone that made the same mistake as me and sent it back using the return label and box that came with your S9, it is so painful to sort it out!
I have called Samsung Support (UK) 3 times and been on hold for an hour+ each time. 2 of the calls just cut off and one answered, I could hear people talking for a couple of minutes and then they hung up. The online live chat was useless and they were not understanding my issue at all, one agent told me to speak to the courier (the courier couldn't help) and then I finally got through to one who listened, spoke to the returns centre, the courier and extended my return deadline. They advised that they will email me in 5-7days to let me know if they managed to get the phone sent to the right place or possibly returned back to me.
Anybody actually got their return packaging sent yet?

Got a reminder email from the samsung recycle programme this morning stating I had not returned my phone. I followed up with a Live chat session with the samsung recycle helpdesk , and they said this was an automated email and they know there are delays in the packs going out and ship it when you receive the pack.
Sign into your Samsung account. Navigate to your orders page. There is a link for the return label for the device you are trading in. Use same box that the S9 came in and ship your trade-in with the label provided in the order page. Unless as others have mentioned, there may be delays at Samsung sending out return package specifically for your trade-in. I wouldn't doubt that with the issues they've already had sending Verizon sims to Sprint customers. (BTW, S9 SIMs are unique to S9, you can't re-use SIMs specific to other devices).
Has anyone received their returns pack yet? I am still waiting and have emailed them twice now. I dont want to get charged for next month's payment.
got mine on Monday
The instructions say to send it back in the same box that the new phone came in.

Anyone Received The $50 Credit?

Sooo, I didn't think I was getting this, but I got an email saying I was eligible last week. Anyway, this week will be 4 weeks since I received my phone. I'm hoping to get it by next week in case Google has any black friday/cyber Monday deals.

Lucky you, I preowned and I am not eligible for a stupid reason. I can't even find the deal anymore to see why. Big disappointment in that.

I takes a few weeks dude. They wait until the return period is over so you don't get a free $50. Last year with the home mini, it was right at 4 weeks if I remember right. So, it should come any day now.
I wouldn't be surprised if they wait the full six weeks in order to get past the Black Friday deals.

Yeah! But buy what though?
But what are you all planning to buy with it? So far my options are the Pixel Stand or Skullcandy Riff. Leaning more towards the Riff, good reviews for $50, wireless & assistant too. As for the stand, they aren't that special, just another wireless stand. I see soon more certified and Made for Google wireless chargers coming in the future which could be cheaper than the Pixel stand.
Also, expires this Dec 31. So have to use it before that! So might just go for that Riff.

Let us know! I seriously doubt they'll honor this for anyone who bought earlier though. Next year I am definitely waiting for black Friday before buying the pixel 4xl...
Does this only apply to those who bought directly from google store?

Display issues vertical green lines N10+ Unlocked

Already experiencing hardware issues with the display of my Note 10+ Unlocked 256GB Aura Glow that I bought directly from Samsung.com.
I received my device Aug 21, and two days ago 2 green vertical lines appeared on the left side of my screen, right where the screen bends. Never dropped this phone, just appeared when I was checking my emails. The vertical lines do not go away when the screen is on. Even went in the boot menu to clear the cache, and the lines are just constantly present. (Picture attached)
Getting the run around from Samsung that's super disappointing. I called Samsung.com first, and they were wanting me to send my device in so they can try to repair it. Leaving me phoneless for up to 10 days.... Since I traded in my spare phone, Note 9 to get that 600 discount. I told them that's unacceptable, then remembered I also purchased Samsung Premium Care. So they told me to call them, but mentioned I may have to pay to get a replacement on a frickin phone not even a month old... So I called Premium Care, and they are unsure of the situation, and have to work with Samsung.com in getting this defective device warrantied.
So they gave me a claim # and told me they will contact me in the next few days with a plan... I'm so disappointed with Samsung over this situation. Just wanted to share this info in case this display issue happens to someone else. Will update on how Samsung is going to take care of their defective device.
Anyone else have experience getting their devices warrantied when purchased directly from Samsung.com?

I'd go through whatever wireless service you're using like T-mobile, Verizon, etc, talk to a supervisor if you don't get anywhere with a regular representative....and see if they can do anything. It's so damn ridiculous what you're going through. If your mobile provider can't do anything, then I would call your bank or whatever credit card you charged through and file a dispute against the charge, tell them what all is going on and that Samsung refuses to do anything and send the thing back and then go get one at Best Buy or something. I've heard nothing but horror stories with Samsung.com and going through Samsung to buy directly from them.
OP purchased the phone directly from Samsung.com, as stated in the first sentence. How is the carrier involved in this? I would call Samsung, speak to manager and request new phone be send to me and return old one after receiving replacement. I would probably give them my CC as a warranty that I will send the phone back, instead of keeping both. Another option would be to buy some cheap phone (I've seen some for less than $100) and use it as backup. I keep my old Note3 as a backup for years and actually needed to use it on at least 4 different occasions and it still works great. The last option maybe look for Samsung store or service place in the area and deal with them in person?
Thank you for the reply. That's a good idea, return it and buy one from Best Buy. I really wish I kept my Note 9, I did wait until the last day to mail it out just in case. I got the unlocked version since I'm in the process of switching from T-Mobile to Spectrum Mobile because they use Verizon's network and it's only $14/mo if I go by the gig since I tend not to use much data since I keep everything downloaded on my phone. Especially since T-Mobiles network is unbearable in my area. I will give Apple credit with being able to just walk in the store with an issue.
I use to run Google Nexus devices until Pixel came out with their subpar 1st phone. I was so pissed I bought a iPhone the next day haha. When I had hardware issues they just swapped my iPhone. However I got tired of them after a couple years and missed android. So I went Note ever since without any issues until now (N8 & N9 were flawless). My Grandma is still using my Nexus 5 (LG), and my Mom is using my Nexus 6 (Motorola) still today. Sorry for the ramble lol.

Thanks man, I totally forgot there's a store near me inside one of the Best Buy's. I'll stop by and just see if he can do anything. Yeah may just need to get a cheapo to use, depending what I hear back from Samsung Premium Care.

Going to Samsung store is probably best option, because he can verify right then and there the phone is defective and needs to be replaced under warranty? But I never had warranty issues with any of my phones, so no personal experience in "how it should work" against "how it actually works"

Yeah definitely, I'll post back what I find out. That would be so nice just to swap out on the spot. I also found out I have a authorized repair shop in my state of Ohio. However it's like 90mins away... FML haha
