How to turn off Charging status when screen off/AOD???????? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

This is really annoying, when my phone is charging and the screen is off, it constantly shows the battery % and time until battery is charged. Tried turning off the AOD, looked all through the settings and no go. Anyway to turn this off??? My note 9 does not do this

Following for an answer as well.

I've had the same thing on mine. Though thus far nothing I've tried seems to turn it off. Hoping an someone has figured this one out.

Even stays there when fully charged, totally stupid. I really dont want this on when its charging next to my bed all night. Not sure if this is samsungs bandaid to not having a notification led for battery charging? Do the s10s do this as well?

My S10+ doesn't do this. I hope someone finds a way to turn it off.

That's annoying, following the thread for an answer.
But I think we should wait for a Samsung update.

Ya that's what I'm afraid of.....

I was able to do it! However it requires not having Always on display. Here's how it's done. I purchased package disabler pro which is about $3 for the app. I then disabled always on display entirely from the app. I figured just turning it off in the settings app wont do it since it's always running in the background. However disabling it with package disabler seemed to do the trick and now I no longer get the charging indicator while the screen is off. Hope this helps!

LED staying red when 100%

Well I woke up to something interesting this morning. Anyway I grabbed my phone to check the time and it was really hot and only at 71% it had been on the charger for probably 5 hours. There was a message on the screen about temperature being too high or something. So I pulled it off and restarted it and just left it alone. After I got up I put it on the charger with it turned on and let it charge, but I was right by it so I could keep checking it. It charged without getting hot, but now it will just show 100% Charging on the screen and the LED doesn't seem to ever turn Green. Right now I switched to my i9300 and have the i747 turned off on the charger to see if it will get to 100% and turn green. Any one encountered this before? I couldn't seem to find someone who had posted this before.

My friend, if your phone heats up at all that high....replace it. Time to call TMO, why look for a fix, when it probably is hardware related.
Don't waste time...get er done! oops I'm stupid, I mean At&t. Sorry

Who would have thought it stops giving a notice when you unplug? Thank you for that insight.
Now then can we get an answer to the real question, How to disable the notice when the phone is plugged in. I do not want my phone bugging me all the time about "Battery Full Unplug to save Energy".
I am a big kid I can manage my own battery I do not need to be nagged. It is my phone I want it to be under my control.
Thank you
N
The problem is that I want it fully charged when I leave for work in the morning. If I unplug it when it starts whining it won't be fully charged in the morning. Not to mention i have to mute my phone because it will repeatedly chime every 3 seconds until I unplug it. Freakin' annoying. Scenario two, plugged in to the charger on the way too work because I want the screen on...if I unplug it the screen turns off.
Has to be the dumbest message ever.

As for scenario two, you can go to settings > Display > Screen timeout. Select "Keep screen turned on".
What navlen and retarded timing said agree
Yes I leave my phone plugged in a lot. If I am not walking around with it, it is plugged in. I liked to be 100% charged when I leave the house.
No I do not want to hear about battery life because for one thing most comments will be based on ancient batteries and will have no meaning to this thread. When my battery dies I buy a new one if I am keeping the phone. But they never have. Meanwhile I am leaving the house 100% charged.
Guess what else, you are not saving energy or at least no more than a small, very small, tiny but smaller than that LEDs worth to keep it plugged in.
LG please stop being annoying.
Thank You

G3 TweakBox
Sent from from my LG-D855
Ugh. Is there really no way to do this without rooting and installing a third party tweak tool?
Surely I can't be the only person who leaves their G3 plugged in overnight. This notification is so annoying, it kept going off last night as the phone partially discharged and then charged back up to 100%. Both a noise and a vibration. Can't believe there is no simple option to turn this off.
And don't say put it into silent mode or DND because I need to be able to receive calls overnight.
guys, see this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/off-notification-battery-charged-t2830195
basically you need to have your phone rooted and use xposed
I've just read somewhere that you just need a charger with more than 0.2 amp. Can't find the link, though. Couldn't test it yet.

Moto 360 not fully charging

Anyone else having this issue? 1st night charging went to 100% while screen was off. 2nd charge only took it to 94% w/screen dimmed, and 3rd charge wouldn't go higher than 82% with dimmed screen.
Ever since the screen won't stay off, the watch won't fully charge. There is no way to disable screen while charging.

Make sure the watch is all the way down in the charger. It seems to be easiest if you have the button down, so it fits into the curve of the charger. I had an issue where the watch screen was staying in the charging mode, but wasn't actually charging when it wasn't aligned correctly.

Oh cool. Thanks, I'll check that next time. That could have been it
I'm having some issues with it also. I've tried aligning the watch multiple times. The first time floated on 79%-80%, 2nd charge has been floating at 75%-77%. I'm hoping there is an easy fix or that it's software related, because it kills me to have issues on a brand new product
Did anybody end up finding a fix to this? I received my watch yesterday and charged it to 100% and overnight I left it in the charging dock but when I woke up I found it to only be at 82%

Is the time correct while it's showing this? I've noticed that sometimes the display doesn't update very well. Every time I've seen a non-100% charge in the morning (which was maybe twice), the time wasn't correctly displayed either. As soon as I touched the screen, however, the time and battery percentage would update -- the latter suddenly jumping to 100%. If I used the 360 as a bedside clock, I'd probably be upset about this, but since that's my Nexus 7's job, it doesn't really bother me on the 360.

There are issues with the docking screen.
I noticed the wrong time displayed after four hours charging. The time shown on the docking screen was 1 hour behind, or about 25% slower than real time. The watch was not paired. After dismissing the docking screen by removing the watch from charger the normal watch screen showed correct time.
I notice the watch fully charges to 100% and my Samsung Qi charger light turns yellow (stop charging). Then the watch discharges quickly because the screen stays on bright while charger toggles on and off quickly. It sometimes goes down to 90% before the charger restarts charging normally without yellow light.
I can mediate all these issues successfully for an overnight charge by manually:
(1) Toggle ambient mode on in settings on phone/tablet. Wait until watch dims on charger and deselect ambient mode setting - which turns off watch display.
(2) Disconnect pairing on phone/tablet. This is a simple and quick way to prevent further notifications waking up the watch screen while charging.
All these manual functions could be put into an application for stable & quick charging. Or, Motorola could address issues in a software update in the future.
Good luck.
I just got my moto 360 and out the box battery was dead. I left it on the charger for 2 hours and it never got past 8 % then jumped down to 2% when I took it off.
It is not even charging. This saddens me.

Did the update yesterday...
I hadn't any issue with the battery until now (but then I've only been using the Moto 360 for a couple of days), but this morning the battery was stuck at 87% when I woke-up and checked the watch.
I've let it charge some more, it was still at 87% so I rebooted the watch and let it continue to charge, and now it's back at 100%.
FWIW I'm using ScreenOfWear (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ebserver.screenoffwear) to blank the display while charging.
Have a great day with your Moto 360!

Charger indicator light staying on?

Anyone else's indicator light on the original charging dock staying on all night? I thought from the user manual, it said that when the watch is fully charged, the indicator light on the charging dock would turn off. Mine stays on even after the watch has been at 100% for hours.

Yup, it is on 4.4W.1
Will keep an eye on it tonight/tomorrow morning. I just want to make sure everything is working fine before the return window closes. I think the wording in the user manual is old and the light would go off at 100% since the screen turns off. Now that the screen is always on, I am guessing that it is constantly trickle charging even when it hits 100%.
Thanks.

Cradle not charging, but charging status face displayed
Within the last couple of days I've been waking up with a dead 360. When I put the watch in the cradle, it appears to be charging (watch face shows charging circle and percentage); however, I just noticed that the indicator light does not turn on.
End result is a dead battery. Resolution has been to use a different QI charger to charge the watch. The automatic conclusion is that the charger isn't charging, but why does the watch go into "charging status"? Thoughts/help? Anyone else experiencing this? This all started after most recent update.
Try doing this:
Put the watch on the charger.
Open the Android Wear App on your phone and go into settings
CHECK "Screen Always On"
Wait for the 360's screen to dim a little bit
UNCHECK "Screen Always On"
The watch display will turn completely off.
This will charge your battery in less than 2 hours.

That light is for the watch being docked.. I would suggest putting some electrical tape (non-permanent way) or black nail polish (permanent) over it.

The light not bother me. I read online manual say when full charged the light shall be off.
So I need to know is my watch and charging is good or not.

Charging issue, I'm perplexed...

I charge my watch at night and it charges just fine. The problem is, since it isn't connected to my phone at night the battery drains. It was down to 15% when I got up this morning.
Is there a way, via root and and a script for example to have the watch charge to full then turn off? Or maybe even go into airplane mode after a length of time it has no connection?
I actually wish you can true off the watch and still charge it. I tried that but as soon as i put it on the charger it comes back on. I really don't need the watch to be on at night.
Why not keep it connected? Just charge phone & watch, leave them on. There is really no reason for the watch to ever be disconnected.
I charged the watch to full (it was almost full before I went to bed) I went to put it on the next morning and it was drained to 20%. I'd love for there to be a setting to charge to full and turn off. or power off and charge.
You can switch it off and then plug the charger in.
Switch it back on in the morning?

That's the issue. You can't turn it off and charge it. As soon as it is connected to the charger it turns on. Best I could say is put it in theater mode which completely shuts off the screen and notifications. But honestly I still don't see how the watch could be burning so much battery that the charger isn't able to keep it charged. But maybe that will fix the issue.

I've decided to just wear it at night and charge it when I get up in the morning. It gets charged while I'm getting ready for work.
I don't understand why Huawei didn't make it so the watch can be charged while powered off. It is pretty lame. I charge mine later in the afternoon. When I see that it is 100%, I turn it off then remove it from charger.

I agree that it is kind of silly that you don't have that option but it's also not surprising. Look at all of the other watches out that act the same way. Moto 360, LG Urbane, LG G Watch R, Samsung Gear, or maybe just the live, even the iWatch. And that's just the ones I know of. The good news is that the watch has a power button, the crown, so a future update could fix it. And theater mode does solve the issue in my opinion. Just double tap the crown and done. I am going to test mine tonight by shutting down the phone and charging the watch with theater mode off. I would like to see what it does. I just can't imagine any way that it would burn 80 percent of the battery while connected to a charger.
One other option might be to use tasker to shut down everything you don't want when connected to a charger. I know you can do this on a phone but haven't tried on a watch before. But in theory it would work.

Yea I dont think this is right because I throw mine on the charge when I get home, tap the button 3 times to turn off the screen, and then disable bluetooth on my phone (wifi is always off on the watch).
Every day I wake up to 100%.
