[KERNEL] AngsaKernel [Synapse][20150121]

Hello guys, this is my first contribution to Redmi 1S and here I presented AngsaKernel. I think this kernel only works with CM11 R15 (or later) for Redmi 1S.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void. Lol, not really. This is Xiaomi.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Features:
- Compiled with Linaro 4.7.4 for better performance
- Modified ion reserve to allow user using more RAM (861MB -> 877MB)
- Added Intellidemand, Conservative, wheatley, ondemandplus and intelliactive governors (more to come soon)
- Double-tap to wake and Sweep to wake implementation
- Offcourse, smoother user interface
- Using AnyKernel v2.0 makes it possible to install this kernel to several ROMs
- Linux 3.4.11 upstream patch
- using Synapse app to control kernel
- New hotplug solution to replace mpdecision
- Gamma control to set LCD colors
- add bfq, sio, fiops, vr, zen ioscheduler
- add FauxSound to control gain (via Synapse app)
- change vibrator intensity
- USB FastCharge
- Many others that I forgot.

I replaced hwcomposer from new cm11 rom, I think that should work
Very Nice share............Hoping for more features.....
Please
Will it work with Mokee Nightly ROM'S
Tried on cm11 R15,
No lags yet, but only issues I noticed are dt2w & s2w works only for 5-6 seconds after locking screen, and reboots every time I change governor

Nice! Some more development for our device.
Bro, can I request something! Can you make a kernel for 5.1 chinese CM for I9500. It's a perfect ROM but only lacks a kernel with CPU Voltage control to reduce the heating and make the IR blaster work.
If you can just make a kernel that supports voltage control, many many users can benefit from it. Please try.
Here is the link to the ROM. :-

Maybe that is problem with the rom you are using . Try using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/i9500-resurrection-remix-5-6-4-t3345407 . It was a fixed version of RR (MM) . Stock and third party camera all working fine with me even after flashed the kernel.

Under clock your cpu to 800mhz and reduce cpu voltage to 50-70

Yes is it under control when using sabermod kernel or virus kernel and set cpu max 500 and min 250 ( depend to you if you want to set it on 800 it also ok) but heat issue depending on your usage too , if you are playing games like COC then , it heat up . With normal usage mostly i get 55°C to 60°C on my S4 .

v1.0 :
initial release
a bout EAS :
EAS stands for Energy Aware Scheduling , where the whole governor settings + HMP Settings are replaced by one system relying on "scheduler hints" from specifically modded low-level files including specially modded libs and framework patches.EAS aims to achieve better battery through lowering the product of V * I by altering the voltage along with the frequency dynamically based on loads calculation and the frequency used and many other variables.
EAS will set the core > Frequency > voltage per task. If the scheduler decided that a task needs a higher freq then it supplies that before the task is placed on a core.
Also the great thing about EAS (When tuned and setup properly) is that it is setup to not overshoot and overpower task workload.
Unlike our standard governor like interactive that does sampling and cpu-boost. These both can overshoot the performance needs pf the current workload thus leading to energy loss.
in short : EAS is all about setting the stune groups and the cpusets and using a sched -or schedutil- governor. There has to be an energy model for the SoC so that there is proper energy costs calculation made
*Energy models are the voltage/frequency*
Nice to see this kernel for mi5.
It Should work with Aosp (extended)? It uses schedutil governor by default.
And.does.it have oc.for 32gb version?

yes , it works on AEX. ( on EAS build , schedutil is the default Gov )
OC is available for all variants.

The hmp version also got EAS? Sorry if it's a low question.
Eas works good with Pure Fusion, spectrum balanced mode so far so good.

As per your wish. Everything is toggleable. You can mess with as per requirement. Ask other users for their settings for specific goals like for faster performance or battery backup etc.
Anyone pls suggest any link for best configuration...... I don't know anything about this
Hi guys, someone can help us with the configuration in kernel audiutor? It's the first time I flash a kernel so I don't know anything about this

Me too a newbie wanna know
Is this QC 2.0?
Great. Finally some kernel development started on z00l device. Thanks. Will soon try and post kernel settings that i'll find optimal for me.

Great Work ... Keep it up .. By the way do u have any telegram channel or any other community group?
Overall a good kernel. There is definitely performance improvement and most of the part is already optimized. Still if you like to try,
On searching a bit, what i found is-
Power suspend is the state where various hardware like RAM, GPU etc are cut off from power to save battery. It is very much like the hibernate in Windows OR suspend in Ubuntu.
Hybrid --> Generally suspend is slower than hibernation, hybrid combines both of them to achieve a mixed state.
Userspace --> The system intelligently suspends according to need of the device.
LCD panel --> Powersuspend is dependent on lcd hooks, which means that only lcd panel can wake the device once it achieves a suspended state.
Autosleep --> As the name implies, it autosleeps when needed.
Lastly, enable ksm and usb fast charge. That's all.
You may set minimum cpu freq to 200MHz. Rest, all cpu governor settings will go in vain since touch boost isn't disabled. A single touch boost up all cores to their max and none of them goes offline even on standby which i consider is significantly draining battery. A request to developer, if possible for you, please disable touch boost feature.
Thanks

Touch boost will disabled in next build. A lot of more settings will be available.

Development Tertis Kernel [Alioth] v 3.0

Features:
- Based on optimus drunk kernel / quantic kernel
- Built with Proton clang
- Using AnyKernel 3
- Adreno boost V2.2 / Gpu touch boost (use any one at a time )
Usage of Gpu touch boost:
echo [freq] > /sys/module/governor_msm_adreno_tz/parameters/boost_freq
echo [duration] > /sys/module/governor_msm_adreno_tz/parameters/boost_duration
Example:
echo 305000000 > /sys/module/governor_msm_adreno_tz/parameters/boost_freq
echo 750 > /sys/module/governor_msm_adreno_tz/parameters/boost_duration
- Disable logging and debugging as much as possible bcoz base kernel is almost stable ( you won't get any log from this kernel )
- Using Better cpu frequency tables (from my testing ) with better idling and deep sleep
- Using zen as default scheduler
- Some optimizations from other kernels
- Disabled crc check and I/o stats completely
- Disabled Gentle Fair Sleeper for better UI performance
Installation:
Flash the zip in TWRP and hit reboot
