I have the pixel 3a XL and ever since I have used it, it seems to lag when typing in my pin code or when using the calculator or similar apps. Its very frustrating at times as the rest of the phone is brilliant.
I have looked through the forums and Google searched but can't seem to find anything about this.
Does anyone have a similar issue or know how to fix it?

What build are you running? Pie, Q, custom? Any other mods or changes done?
Thanks for the quick reply. It's completely stock. Latest version 9 and 1st August 19 security patch. It has been like this since I got it.
I would try either reflashing the stock image or updating to the Q beta. Thats almost certainly a software issue. Ive definitely never seen that on mine.

This is most likely being caused by using a password manager or similar app using the Android accessibility services.
Thanks! I just looked through the settings and triple tap to magnify was switched on. I have turned it off and no more lag! ?? Thanks for your help

I have had my Z1C for a couple of days now, but I have found one missing feature in chrome I am struggling to live without that my xperia t on 4.3 had working perfectly.
Its the magnifier box that pops up when you hit a link close the another one and it just wants you to confirm exactly hat you were pressing, it doesn't do it at all on my Z1C running 4.4.2?
I have looked through the settings, what few there are but I cant find anything to enable it?
Any help anyone has would really be appreciated.

When I first got my z1c I was running 4.4.4 and chrome did have this feature. I haven't noticed it lately, though. Perhaps google removed it in an update.
Sorry just realised yes I'm running 4.4.4, but can't find a way to get the feature working, it makes navigating desktop style sites very difficult, I'm forget zooming in and out.

Can anyone else please try chrome on their 4.4.4 Z1C and see if they get the magnifier on links where it is not 100% on which link you pressed.
Its a feature I am really missing, both my T and Z1C are running the same version of chrome but the T does it and the z1c doesn't.

Yeah I loved having that feature on my old HTC One X. My Z1c running Cyanogenmod 11 M9 (4.4.4) does not get the pop up magnifier thing... As far as I remember even when I was on stock I never got it.

Hmmmm so seems its something the affects all of us. Anyone out there want to find a way to fix it through xposed framework and make my Z1C perfect hehe

Just did an absolutely fresh and clean install (and I mean CLEAN) of the latest stable FreedomOS on my OP3.
I know for a fact I've installed it correctly, and have even tried cleaning/re-installing it a few times to fix this issue. Nothing I do seems to work.
NOTE: If I DO NOT switch to Fahrenheit there is no problem. It correctly displays degrees in C.
The default/stock SwipeLeft menu (which I love, and would very much like to continue using it) decided to continually show me that the weather/temperature is -99°C ONLY AFTER I switch the display from °C to °F.
After switching to °F, it shows only -99°C.
Is there a fix for this? I've googled for about 2 hours now, and have not found anything useful.

This is the ROM. It's fixed on the 1.7ce community build of freedom. The stable still has that problem though.

i have to be excessively unnatural about my swipes for these things to work but not for anything else.
swipe up in nova for app drawer works very well/easy. swiping through pics is no problem. scrolling text or web is fine. it's just the couple specific afore mentioned actions that don't work well at all.
any ideas? thanks!

Are you on the stock kernel? Switched back to Pixel launcher? Have you tried turning off window animation or changing scale under Dev ops? I'm using EX and don't have any issues atm, plus using swipe-to-sleep. :good:

have scale set to .5, but its not the speed of transition, its the swipe sensitivity.
YES. I'M HAVING THE SAME ISSUE and it's driving me nuts!
Swiping up/down while browsing or going over social media feeds is just PAINFUL. I get tons of stutters (not performance stutters, touch registration stutters) and unnatural swipe feel.
Sometimes my scrolling would randomly register as a swipe right/left, sometimes it wouldn't register at all for a few tries and sometimes it would just feel very sluggish.
I'm running all stock 8.1 stable, phone naked, no screen protector. It's a Panda Pixel 2 XL with November 28th build date.
Did anyone report this to Google? Starting to look like a widespread issue here..

I had trouble with a swipe to unlock, as in it took me two or three tries to bring up the pin pad. I just tried the suggestion in the post that Badger50 linked and it worked beautifully. I just pulled up the pin pad about 15 times in a row with absolutely no issues. You should definitely give it a shot.

I think it's 8.1, because it didn't use to be an issue, and now both P2XL and Pixel C take multiple attempts to unlock

My issue is one with edge browser on oneplus 9 pro. There is this massive delay between when I click a text box and when the keyboard actually pops up. I don't experience this with chrome. Only within Edge browser. Does anyone have edge installed that can try it?
Trying to figure out if this is a 9 pro issue or more widely based.

Seems to be a problem that occurs when using 120fps. When switching to 60fps, the problem doesn't occur.

Interesting, you are correct. I was able to reproduce it. That is very odd.
Just wanted to communicate that gboard was updated today and I no longer have the delay with the keyboard on edge. So thata good. I will test other apps but that was the only one I was personally having issues with.

Spoke too soon. Closed edge and opened back up. Same issue. So not fixed.
I am having the same issue. I could not figure it out so I'm back on Chrome for now.

You could try an app called AutoHz for now, it allows you to enforce a refresh rate for specific apps, you could enforce 60Hz for Edge.
The upper refresh rate is shown as 90Hz, hopefully the app will be updated to allow multiple refresh rates up to 120Hz
Might also be worth trying Edge Canary to see if it has a fix already, apparently there's been a few features added to bring parity with the Windows version too.
Thanks for the info. I started switching over to edge in the last few months including syncing pwords etc with the android version. Wanted to try and stick with it but might have to go back to chrome if nothing else works. Thanks again.

This has been going on with 2 x 9Pro phones now. The left and right side edge gestures hardly ever register.
I've tried talking to OP support but they literally told me the have never heard of this issue and can't help me .
I shot a Video showing the issue. If anybody has any ideas please let me know.
Hmmm strange, I've got two 9 Pros and neither have shown this issue, I did wonder if it was related to Brave but that seems to be functioning fine. Out of interest, have you tried factory settings and seeing if they work straight out the box as such?
Could it maybe be an app you've installed interfering with gestures maybe? What launcher are you using?

That's what I was thinking, some other app that's trying to take over gesture management, I know there's one popularized by XDA themselves
