Crystal Sound OLED's volume - LG G8 Questions & Answers

My G8's volume is lower in the upper speaker than in the lower speaker.
Is your G8 the same too?

LG G8 doesn't have upper speaker. It has only lower speaker and sound from the screen. If you mean that so yes it really sounds not as loud as lower speaker.

It seems there are 2 "speakers" in the screen. You can actually see them if you have no protector on and angle the screen in certain ways or put some liquid on the glass.

I thought there's something like a strip of speaker inside a screen.

Thank you for answering. Its meaning is correct.
I was able to improve the volume difference by using DTS.

If you adjust the equaliser and put everything on high it makes it even louder.
Try it.

taping on back of n7

Hi.
do you hear a little sound when you give little taps on the back near the mic jack?
down I have no sound but when I tap on top, I hear something like something was not fixed.
what could be it?

Hehehe, you and I seem to have done the same thing when we bought it. If I had to take a wild guess at what that is, I would say it is a loose fit of the volume rocker, or the power button. The thing is rock solid though, I had the 2012 and that thing creaked and flexed all over the place. I'll take a rattle from knocking on the back.
I think my volume rocker does the same thing just a small rattle and you dont really notice it unless your looking out for it
Yes u are right.
come from volume rocker.
seem holes have too much play.
Im pretty sure its the camera autofocus mechanism you are hearing. Same on all devices with autofocusing cameras.

[Q] m8 speakers

I feel that my bottom speaker has a louder or deeper bass than the top.
And my top speaker has more treble than the bottom.
Is that normal.

Nope, I had the exact same feeling with the m7, where there was more treble on top and more bass down, but the m8 is pretty much perfect for me.. Go get yours repaired if it bothers you
Couldn't just be the way the song is mixed that you are listening to? Not all mixing is done 50/50 for stereo left and right. Some have more vocals on left or right channels as well as bass/guitiars/keyboards. I know it's old school, but pull out any old Van Halen recording.....guitar on left channel only and bass on right. Drums are center.

Tap tap sound when touch screen

I havea question, when I touch screen I hear "tap, tap" sound. In center of screen it's biggest, in top and bottom it's lowest. I came from samsung phones and none one has this sound. Maybe, that's should be.
I on latest software relese and this isn't famous Google bug.

Are you talking about an actually sound coming from speakers, or are you talking about physical hollow sound coming from tapping the display. If it's the latter then every pixel 2 xl has this. Theory is that Google left a reverb chamber underneath the screen for the speakers. You'll notice that the screen vibrates a lot when playing sound over the speakers. The probably left that space there to counteract that. In return, the display sound hollow in the middle compared to. The top and bottom when you tap it. It's especially noticeable when tapping it with your finger nail.

That's normal and there's nothing you can do about that. Like I said. It's either a design feature or a flaw. Either way, every pixel 2 xl has it.
I don't have any typing sounds when touching screen, only ones I had was the normal sounds you can turn off in settings

He's not talking about a typing sound. He's talking about the hollow sound you hear when you tap the middle of the display. Just use your nail to tap the center of your screen. Now do the same on the screen where your navigation keys and status bar are. You'll notice that it sounds hollow in the center and solid near the other two areas.
Not like this issue hasn't been discussed before

Top speaker has more bass?

My top speaker has more bass than the bottom one
This is normal?
Bottom speaker has thiner sound too
I noticed the top is louder in general. Noticed when I was holding it in landscape. If you cover the top one and listen, versus the bottom one and listen, the top speaker is definitely louder. So no, it's not just your phone.

My mobile phone does not have this phenomenon, what is your mobile phone version now? Have you had this problem since the purchase? How much louder do you think the top speaker is than the bottom speaker?

May I ask what is the version of your mobile phone system? I'd like to test each version to see if they change.

190 is coming oon with A.I portrait shots from videos
I gave also noticed that the top speaker is louder with more bass than the bottom
Like most have said putting the set up in mono sounds alot louder and fuller which I prefer to the stereo set up
If I stick my ear right against the speakers. Then the top one is slightly louder.

Question Bottom speaker louder than top speaker?

Hi everyone,
I tried a stereo speaker test (youtube) and I hear that the speaker on the bottom is always a bit louder than the one on the top, no matter what volume percentage I am on. It is not really noticeable in everyday use, but I am a bit paranoid if this is normal with the phone.
Could you tell me if this is also the case with your phones as well?
Thank you in advance.
Yes, it is normal on phones with stereo speakers.
That's cos the top one is an earpiece, not actually a speaker while the bottom one is a speaker, it has those little balls in the speaker housing too to boost audio. Checkout one of JerryRigEverything's teardowns if you've never seen that before.
Normal from my OnePlus experience.
