Adds a configurable Energy Ring around the camera lens indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone's camera lens.
Got a full charge? The Ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Ring's direction can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/anti-clockwise
✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility service requirement:
Energy Ring does not read any phone content whatsoever, it merely relies on it to be able to display over all screens including lockscreen. Be assured that the App does NOT access anything.

Thanks will give it a try
Edit: works flawlessly on note 10+ stock rom non rooted.
This is a very simple and straightforward app does exactly what is needed.
Thank you for this needed app.
Ps you need to fix the play store links as I cannot open the links in play store. I just get an error.
Clicking the donate button inapp also generates an error.
Also when exiting app the rainbow like colours change to standard one colour :crying:
Does this app work as overlay ?

Holy moly this is amazing, thank you so much!!
I really love to celebrate the camera notch because to me it's just the bees knees. This adds a useful flair to it, and it's awesome! My one question would be are you able to do something so this can be added to the charging text AOD thing? That would be so wicked. Otherwise, thank you so much!

working great on galaxy Note 10+, Great job...

You're welcome! I am glad that it works great on your device.
Also, I had released the App early on XDA, if you installed via the attached .apk, it should now be in sync with Play Store version. Cheers!

You're welcome! Love the excitement around the App.
Energy Ring purposefully will not be enabled for AOD, as I am not sure what would be the long term effect of displaying it all the time on the screen.

Works amazing. Thanks for the app

Works great.... I like it subtle

Just installed it. Nice job. The only thing I'd change is to make it go Red > Yellow > Green > Blue by default, as that's how the color spectrum works. Keep it up!

Excellent alignment!
I took a screenshot and then cropped it a little so it would show up just below the cutout. Looks like the alignment is pixel perfect! Great work! This is on a Note 10+ btw.
I have a minor feature request though. Instead of just the black background where the cutout is, could you give the option to display a custom png/gif instead? I switched to this app from a very similar one and the only feature I'm missing from that one is the ability to replace that cutout with an image of a camera lens. This basically makes screenshots look like it captured the camera lens as well.

Awesome App. Works well on my Note 10plus. We need more like this.

Just downloaded the app from the Play store and got the full version. I'm using it on a brand new Note 10+ and somehow the ring is displaying on top of full screen apps even though the option is checked. Does anyone else have this issue?

Any chance you can use the ring as notification led?

Update!
Hey Guys! Just issued the much needed update for Energy Ring on Play Store, version ER_NOTE10_1.3 addresses the issue of Energy Ring sometimes disappearing (or changing positions) and the only way to bring back is rotating the screen or re-enabling. Also, designed a new Icon for the App, hope you like it!

Hey @jagan2
Thanks a lot for your app,
Really like it!
Could you please long look on the bug?
Device: note 10, rooted
Bug: with 1440 resolution - the ring turns smaller than camera:
on 1080 resolution all works fine:

Enjoy the light
Hi Nik3r, going to try it and report back...
Hi,
Can you explain what are the advantages to use your soft compared to the original ?
looks i did everything correctly, including calibration (770 units for maximum light, 0 for dark), Lumos is automatically started after soft reboot but - opening it explicitly from the program directory - it says that Lumos is temporarily disabled and no backlight control happening indeed....should i switch ON automatic light control in
settings-->Power?
any other explicit instruction to be given?
Read the FAQ more carefully next time
Lumos is DISABLED as long as the LumosWizard (configuration) is active. Click Save+Apply on the bottom to exit LumosWizard and start the invisible service.
and Auto backlight in Power settings of your device must be DISABLED
can't wait to give it a go.... (once i get my device!)
Thanks for the update.
I tested for about 20 minutes, and it seems to work good, except that, if I open the wizard and then select 'exit' and 'start service', it seems to forget to return to the minimal backlight, after it is exposed to strong light (almost max. backlight).
When I repeat above steps, but first selecting button 'Save+Apply', everything works good.
The HD light sensor seems too "insenstive" for my expectations. It needs a fair amount of direct light to rise above 0.
In a dimly lit livingroom, my screen needs to be brighter than in bed with my wife sleeping next to me.
This difference is impossible to achieve, and then I might as well stick to the standard.
That is weird I can't seem to reproduce, can you write a step by step what to do to see this bug? Including current light levels.
I have lowest backlight (it's dark)
open LumosWizard - it sets backlight 6 during configuration
I expose device to maximum light tap Exit - Yes (to start Lumos service)
I move away from the light to shade and backlight dims back to minimum I had before teh test in ~2s
Can you write such step by step to reproduce it? I can't fix it if I can't see it
ugumba:
try to play with the Force BL=0 option, one guy from the Raphael forum is using value 1 (so it dims when sensor reports steady 0 in bed for example) and otherwise it's automatically between min and max backlight

OK you are right. Anyway, the modulation of the backlighting was extremely small - probably i misunderstood the "maximum light" description and i put it under a very strong source, which essentially calibrated the system to always stay dim...
I would like to thanks you man because this app works really great!!!
you're the boss.
Thanks dude
Someone complained about extra scrollbar sometimes visible on the settings tab, does anyone experience the same problem? Should I decrease the usable height for the tab panels by a few pixels? (it's possible because I don't know anyone with HD)
Can someone experiencing this glitch post an unscaled screenshot, co I can measure the available pixels and change accordingly?
I haven't problem with scrollbars, and I have an attach my screen picture.
As for the problem with lower limit, today I start looking my device in a dark place and my backlight was in the lowest value.
After that gradually I went to a brighter place - my backlight became lighter - and after in a brighter ... at the point my backlight was at the brightest point (10).
After that I returned to the darkest place - my backlight became 4 - after in a a brighter point - my backlight went to 6 - and at the end I went in a totally dark place, but the backlight sticked at 2 and never went at the lowest point.
p.s. sorry for my english
Thanks for the screenshot, seems all right but still I will decrease the height by 2pixels just in case
and at the end I went in a totally dark place, but the backlight sticked at 2 and never went at the lowest point.

This is exactly what tolerance is supposed to do.
Let's say you are at 10, backlight goes gradually down as you go away from teh light slowly. But if you have tolerance set to '1', it won't change until the backlight is supposed to change by 2.
If you move really carefully away so it fades one by one it will go like this:
10-9-8(change)-7-6(change)-5-4(change)-3-2(change)-1
= your backlight is stuck at last value 2, because you tolerate imprecission of 1.
let's say you move away fast so it's not linear
10-3(change)-2-1(change) = all is fine
and now even a bit faster
10-2(change)-1 = stuck
this is good outside because you save battery but I recommend using the Force BL=0 below option along with tolerance or it won'T sometimes go down to 1.
So, try
tolerance = 0
or leave
tolerance: 1
Force BL=0 below: 5 (or 1 or something small )

This is because of hardware problem of HTC light sensor (too cheap sensor?).
To correct it, one should use nonlinear scale for low light intensity.
This is possible with G-light, which looks to me more relevant and advanced for HD.
Just to illustrate what I said, I publish my nonlinear scale in G-light (works fine in the twilight):
level min max
1 0 2
2 3 20
3 21 100
4 101 200
.....
9 601 700
10 701 1000
Has LUMOS linear scale only?
It uses automatic linear scale, I yet have to implement quadratic and logaritmic function.
If you want different behaviour, try to override your sensor calibration (set it a bit lower like 500) and use Force BL=0 and Force BL=1 in settings.
try something like:
MAX_BL_LUMENS = 700
MIN_BL_LUMENS = 0
MAX_BACKLIGHT = 8
MIN_BACKLIGHT = 3
DIM_TO_MINIMUM_BELOW = 1
DIM_TO_MINIMUM_PLUS_ONE_BELOW = 120
Yes, you are so right, I understood what is happening.
Thanks

malfunction upon wakeup AND Unlock
nik3r,
hopefully this is not because of my setting.
reproduce:
lock the phone, wait till the phone sleeps, leave it for a while (now the screen should be off)
press power button to wake up the phone, now the phone is dim but still locked
unlock the phone, screen still dim, unless i start lumos (the wizard) then exit
sometimes after a long while after unlocking, lumos will kick in and screen changes brightness.
i have also reproduced this problem with HDTweak, which that program there is an auto-lock setting, which kicks in when the screen brightness dims, which in turn is set in the settings->systems->power->advanced tab.
all tests were done on battery power.
Lumos v09
Lumos v09 has been released
This version introduces a few new minor features but focuses mainly on fixing most (if not all) known bugs and improving reliability and ease of use for new users. CPU usage and battery life should be the same or little better than v08 but the difference is nominal.
My battery can last 4-5 days now with low usage
Main new features:
- exceptions can be set to detect only active window (both modes have similar CPU usage)
- installation will automatically disable the built-in HTC auto backlight
- uninstallation will return auto backlight to its former state
- LumosWizard can return backlight to former levels upon exit
- setting tolerance won't prevent backlight from going to lowest and highest settings
- added LumosStarter.exe that (re)starts Lumos service without any feedback
Main bug fixes:
- fixed bug when Lumos got stuck on device softreset due to a bug in HTC sensor libraries
- fixed bug that would set AC power brightness on switch from cable to battery even if disabled in settings
- fixed glitches while deleting and saving multiple exceptions
- fixed erratic backlight control during operation of LumosWizard
.. and many more I forgot to track
If you like and use Lumos, you are welcome to donate.
Enjoy the new version!

A program for modifying the illumination patterns on the Sony Ericsson X1.
Screenshots: No screenshots are available at this time...
Features:
» Has a list of available events pulled directly from the registry, which you simply tap on.
» Has a pattern editor which you can use to view existing patterns as well as make your own*
» Can unlock hidden/disabled events.
» Can restore default settings.
* This is still experimental, but should be hard to break your device with, just restore defaults if you mess up
More information and downloads: http://illumineria.brins0.net/
Additional:
» I would like some constructive criticism to help me improve Illumineria where possible.
» It would be nice if people could upload their custom patterns for others to see. If it's popular, i'll make a page on the site to store people's custom patterns.
If you really like this program, and want to buy me a coffee, you can do so here
Thanks to:
» Redferne for his work on the binary dechiphering, the pattern editor wouldn't have been possible without his suggestions!
Just a quick update,
I've started delving deeper into the registry, and i've discovered alot of "hidden" events which for some reason have been disabled. These include illumination when the keyboard is opened and closed, as well as when you bring the device out of standby. It also seems you can make the lights illuminate for communications (WLAM/DATA activity).
I have also tried directly changing the values in the registry, ie, copying the values from the "Panel Selected" event into the "Keyboard Open" event, and it works perfectly, although it does seem to require a reboot for the changes to take effect, so I don't know how my idea for the event preview will work.
oh, im da first to post? i would like to have ur own custom pattern that u feel da best..
personally when incoming call, i juz want to make it blue led blinking...
n normal status oso i wan it to blink all da times.. i got lots of battery..haha..
besides, able to export settings or save settings, caz we flash rom time to time..
n oso, finger friendly interface of ur software..thx ya.. wish u good luck..
have a look at Xperiatweak, might give you some ideas. you can change the illumination settings with that. but its not completely customisable, you can only swap the illuminations around. if you can make it so that we can make up our own patterns and colours then i think that would be great.
Just a little update before I go out for the evening...
I've been searching through the entries in the registry to try and dechipher what the different sections of the binary represent. I've made a little progress and i've got a friend helping me whilst i'm gone.
If anyone is any good at dechiphering patterns in hex, then i'd really appreciate your help in working out what each little section means. If I can crack this, then my program (Which i've decided to call Illumineria ) can be made to allow you to design your own patterns, and assign them to any event.
If I can't crack the code, then i'll only be able to make an application that lets you assign presets to events.
In the attatchment, i've listed all of the events that are stored in the registry (after removing the duplicates), and listed what each event seems to do in very simple terms.
I look forwards to seeing if anyone can assist me, thanks in advance
I wish to have an Illumination that includes all different colors ( just like the Illumination for turning on the phone and changing panels ) when I get incoming call. That will be very cool for me.
By the way, that will be also cool if the Illumination lights keep turning on and changing color when we play music. Appreciate for your contribution and I wish u good luck
You should make a program that flashes the lights with the same BPS as the music you are listening to
Ideas...
Well where to begin....
Here are a few suggestions on how the app could be very simple and user friendly,
1. There should be a list of every colour available for the led's.
2. A list of led locations, (Top Left &/or Right, Bottom Left &/or Right,All, etc).
3. A list of events to choose from.
4. Then a list of styles, (Flash Fast/ Slow, Fade, Rainbow Fade (all colours fading into each other like a rainbow)).
Then all you would simply do is select a colour (#1), then a location (#2), then an event (#3) and finally a style (#4)
1,2,3,4, ab-ra-ca-da-bra and your done
Examples/ Combonations:
Standby Mode/ Sleep Mode: Slow Pulse, One Colour, One Location
Bluetooth On: Blue of course,Top two corners, Fast Flash.
Wi-fi on/ Connected: Pattern e.g. top left, bottom left, bottom right, top right, Fading in and out one by one.
Wait/ Loading: Top left = Fade in/ out blue, bottom left = Fade in/ out red, bottom right = Fade in/ out green, Top right= Fade in/ out yellow. (windows colours )

Cool!! There are a very good ideas!!!
Yeah very cool,
is there anyway of altering the brightness of the LED? it just seems quite dim and would like them to be brighter.
I also think indy.89 idea sounds easy to use,
also those registry settings u found like lights when keyboard opens/closes did you say they work or u will get them to work in your program?
And one last thing this is off the subject but can I have a sound play when I press the pannel key? could you look at this while knee deep in registry jargon?
thank you for your time and effort on this
I may suggest moving patterns (leds running up and down), and a RANDOM pattern (sort of "DISCO" pattern) to follow music or else
Just another update before I hit the sack...
I've written a basic program with a list of known patterns. The program gets a list of available events from the registry. I've found that even when enabled, some of these events never seem to fire. For the ones which activate normally, changes work as expected.
I think by tomorrow evening I should have it ready for a beta release. I hanv't made much headway on decyphering what the binary data means, so we're stuck with the known events for now.
ToDo:
- Tidy up interface a little
- Enable disabled events
- Minor menu alterations

I don't think this can be changed globally. The lights seem to be designed for night time and indoor use only, and is most likely a hardware limitation.

The keyboard open/close events fire correctly and you can customise the patterns with the current beta version of Illimineria.

You can make this button run any application you like by changing the value of "HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\PanelManager\ApplicationName" key in the registry. I'm not sure if this has been menioned anywhere else, I think I may have been the first one to spot it, but i've currently got it assigned to run "QuickMenu" which is a very nice cascading start menu replacement. You can also do the same for the camera button by changing the value of "HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\Camera\ApplicationName" key in the registry.

I don't think this would be the best way of doing it looking at what I have already learnt about how the patterns work. From what I can tell, there are 3 distinct "frames" to each pattern, so it would most likely have to be designed differently than how you ahve suggested.

Currently there is no known way to programmatically control the lights in this way, so this isn't possible. Not to mention the load on the processor trying to calculate the bpm of a song. Very few songs have an ID3 tag with the bpm, so it would ahve to be calculated on the fly.

This is possible with the current version which I will most likely release tomorrow, and it does look fairly impressive in action...
Nice to see the progress, good job!
First of all I'd like to clear up one misunderstanding, we are and have been aware of being able to change the panel and camera buttons functions for a long time.. We haven't been sitting still here!
Now, on the hex part, I've taken a look and have no clue as to how SE formatted the code. Can't find a pattern (pun intended) yet.
I'll see if there's anything I can find, but don't count on it, as I'm not very experienced with hex (yet). In the meantime I'll think of some lean features you might add.
thank you for your replys,
I do know you can change the pannel key to open another program but i dont want this i just want it to open pannels and play a sound of my choice.
press pannel key and the pannels show on screen but also a little tune plays or i could edit some MP3 to say "pannel mode active" or "select a pannel" a nice sexy woman voice?
I know its off topic but i would rather ask this to someone who has the brain power to know what they are doing and you guys fit the bill

Sorry, but I have to say this doesn't belong here, regardless of your motives.
What you need is a mortscript. It's fairly easy, create a mortscript that plays a sound and launches the panels application, then assign the panel key to the mortscript and you're good. Do some searching on how mortscript works and you'll have this created by yourself in no time!
I would like to change the colors for the diffrent sitations like sms, missed call and so one. It is not possible in the orignal rom.
The other things which are posted here, like the blue color for bluotooth connections and so one are great too.
thank you and apologies for goin off topic
to be honest i dont think we can give anymore input until we have tried the program and then add comments as it seem you are fully on top of this.
How much drain would the battery have do you think if the LEDs glow blue constantly if the bluetooth is always enabled? or other modes.
would it be possible to add a timer function i.e. on connecting to wifi the LEDs will act for a certain amount of time before being disabled.
The LEDs used aren't very powerful ones, thus shouldn't use too much power. Theoretically it's possible to "call" the LED patterns, if we can find the LED controller. I guess that's what we're looking for at the moment.
Already have it installed and im trying it right now.
So far, I have one big suggestion. Change the highlight color in the menu. Its nearly impossible for me to tell what i currently have selected. Gray on darker gray isnt very visible lol.
Also, can you add an option to test the patterns?
EDIT: It definitely does work though.. Just made my phone display the rainbow pattern when I open the keyboard. Awesome.
EDIT2: It seems like it can only change one thing at a time. If I change multiple things, nothing happens...
Just tested this with the QWERTY Close and On functions. changed both and then restarted, nothing got changed. Changed only close and restarted, that worked.
EDIT3: Standby and QWERTY_ON doesnt seem to do anything.
Error
Usine itjes 6.5 latest build I cannot set an illumination. I get nullexception and a message to send an email with the log created in the Program Directory.

[APP] Arc Lighting - Notification Light for Oneplus Nord

Arc Lighting adds a highly customizable ring of light around the camera cutout of your phone. You can use this light with various indicators such as audio visualization, notification lighting, critical or low battery warnings, as well as a charge indicator. The ring can also appear on your Always-On display. (to make aod work you need to make sure you have downloaded always on amoled and activated it, you also need to make sure samsung stock aod and samsung edge lighting is disabled under samsung display settings you also need to make sure that aod is enabled under arclighting with override set to off)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FibMTD5Mdx8
Features:
- Highly customizable lighting for the Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and Note 10. Select a variety of colors, animations, and styles. (nord is not officially supported but the app now comes with a custom alignment adjuster so it should now be supported by just adjusting this under cutout settings make sure realtime adjustment is set to off when you're finished any help on official support will be granted a tier 5 code)
- Always show ring with various gradient effects (add multiple colors and make them spin for a visual experience)
- An adjustable glow effect that can be turned on or off (sometimes this can cause the light to freeze to a white glow this will be fixed)
- Notification lighting both when the display is on or off (update planned for only the lockscreen or only inapp)
- Music lighting that syncs the light to your music (does not work together with other indicators so other indicators will stop working if you enable music lighting this will be fixed)
- Battery indicator lighting for charging, low and critical battery states. (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appearm, not configuring zones can freeze the light entirely this will be fixed)
- Device overheating indicator for gamers and power users (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appear, not configuring zones can freeze the light entirely this will be fixed)
- Arc Lighting can be configured to match the color of your wallpaper, the app you're currently in, or both! (this only works for the only show ring and only when you set it to a solid color the option is not available for gradient colors which will be added later)
This app requires certain permissions to function correctly.
Accessibility: This permission is used for the ring to appear over your lock screen, always-on display, and for accessing the color of the current app you're in. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Draw Over Other Apps: This permission allows the ring to show on top of other apps. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Microphone Access: This permission is used to analyze the internal device audio for the music lighting. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to enable the Audio Visualizer indicator for the ring.
Storage Access: This permission is used to get the color of your wallpaper. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to use the color of your wallpaper for the ring.
Notification access: This permission is used to change the color of the ring after notifications
Burn-in concerns: Some Android displays may suffer from mild burn-in if a single item is displayed on the screen for an extremely significant amount of time. If you are concerned about this, feel free to enable the rotation animation in ring settings. That will ensure the display is constantly changing. Alternately, you can disable the default effect to only show the ring while an indicator is being triggered. Note: Samsung Galaxy devices come with burn-in protection that moves the pixels a little each time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
how do i disable individual notifications: currently this is a planned update, you can go into custom colors and set each app you don't want notifying to 100% transparent
light is constantly flashing even if i cleared all notifications: sometimes theres forced notifications such as when you're charging it will force a notification that says you're fast charging, the light will pick up on these you need to hold on these notifications and turn them off to stop the light there should be nothing at all in the notificationpanel, if you still have a flashing light with nothing in the panel contact me.
frozen light: music lighting will disable all other indicators same with battery indicator or battery temp indicator, you need to set custom zones otherwise the light will be frozen, glow also tends to freeze the light so turn that off if it's frozen (this will be fixed in a coming update)
I will test the app as soon as I have the phone tomorrow

I've tried the free version, for now. Can't seem to get the ring elipse-shaped to go around the front camera, also the app keeps crashing on my Nord
Hello,
application works but notification ring appears at the top middle. Could you send me activation code.
App installed but I can't see battery indicator. We need something different from a circle to surround two cameras.. It's possible?
Activation code please.
i like the idea a lot and love the feature where i can preview position etc. But, can it support shapes other than circle? Node does not have circle camera on front. i was hoping that i can overlay on the outer edge of front camera.
Trial time expires, hasn't been able to move ring to the cameras, got notification ring but on the center

Looks to work but I can only get it to display a circle ring, which didn't help on a twin camera!
i bought the premium version but can't really use it cause of the shape of the ring. How can i change the shape that it fits the OneplusNord Cam?

the note 20 ultra is not officially supported yet but the app comes with a custom alignment adjuster under cutout settings so you can align the ring yourself, if you enjoy the app please do rate it i have received a lot of bad ratings lately which has pushed it down to nearly 2 stars so rating it would be very appreciated.
Hi! This looks awesome! Is there a 'Halo' option or a slow beating effect? Could the color be changed? I really want to try this notification light. How can I get a code, please? Thank you!

Just a suggestion, but it would be nice to be able to manually enter the offset number rather than solely relying on a slider.
Fine-tuning the adjustments would be MUCH easier by being able to input a number.
TIA
I'd like to try this out as well. A code would be great, thanks!

Themes / Apps / Mods aodNotify - Notification Light / LED for Pixel 6 Pro!

This app was initially developed for Samsung Galaxy devices with Always on Display. As Pixel devices also have an Always on Display i decided to port the Samsung version to Pixel devices.
You need a notification light / LED for your Pixel 6!
With aodNotify you can easily add a notification light / LED to your Pixel 6!
You can select different notification light styles and show the notification light around the camera cutout, screen edges or even simulate an notification LED dot in the statusbar of your Pixel 6 or Pixel 5!
As the notification light is integrated in Google's Always On Display it has minimal battery consumption and doesn't drain your battery like other apps which keep your phone awake!
MAIN FEATURES
• Notification light / LED for Pixel 6, Pixel 5 or Pixel 4a!
• Low energy notification preview
• Activate Always On Display (AOD) only on notifications
• Charging / Low battery light / LED
MORE FEATURES
• Notification light styles (around camera, screen, LED dot)
• Custom app / contact colors
• ECO animations to save battery
• Interval mode (on/off) to save battery
• Night times to save battery
BATTERY USAGE PER HOUR ~:
• LED - 3.0%
• LED & INTERVAL - 2.0%
• LED & ECO ANIMATION - 1.8%
• LED & ECO ANIMATION & INTERVAL - 1.5%
• NOTIFICATION PREVIEW - 1.0%
• ALWAYS ON DISPLAY - 1.0%
Without notification light the app consumes almost 0% battery!
The Pixel 6's Tensor chip has a context hub, which is a ultra low power context engine especially made for the AOD and other background tasks, wich should reduce power consumption a lot. The values above are approximate values from old Pixel devices.

NOTES
• The app is still in beta stage, errors may occur!!

• Please check if the app is compatible before updating phone software!
• Altough we never experienced any screen burn in issues on our test devices, we recommend to not keep the notification light / LED active for a long time! Use at you own responsibility!

The position of the light around the camera cutout may not be accurate in this beta.
Position can be adjusted in Notification light > Size & position > fine tuning section in the app.
Thank you! Bought. Will definitely be testing and using this!
Update: The Enable AOD in the initial setup takes me to Display settings but I had trouble finding where to re-enable AOD and set to always on. It was in the Display/Lock Screen sub-menu and I had to enable "Always show time and info".
It's also frustrating while writing this that aodNotify disappears from Recently when I'm trying to switch back and forth between the XDA App and it before I've finished completely setting up aodNotify. Actually still disappears from Recents even once it's setup too.
(All the following are fixed)
The attached screenshot shows the appropriate centered offsets for the camera ring on the Pixel 6 Pro. The Zoom, Zoom Ring, Galaxy Spin, and Florescent Tube effects don't appear to respect those settings.
General (Power Saving) / Custom Nighttime repeatedly wants to install or update the Manager app and I can't enable it.
I wouldn't mind the DnD option except if only want it to follow specific scheduled DnD, not DnD that I manually enable.
I prefer to be able to set custom battery low and full percentages, such as 25 and 75, respectively.
Does the app use Google's ability to back up app data to the cloud? Otherwise will there be an option to backup and restore manually?
Thanks, I think that's all regarding testing for now.
No longer applies, for the original testing version:

Thanks for the feedback. Theres an update on the way fixing position and some other issues.
You can set position offset to 0 on next release then.
The app is not in recents, because its getting killed then if you clear apps. Users complained about this.
Thanks for the initial setup hint. Optimised descriptions now.
Trying to optimize as soon as i get my Pixel.
You are awesome mate! Been using your app since S10 days and I'm so glad you're doing this for the pixel 6. Your app is perfect for samsung and I hope it will be the same for pixels.

Thanks will try this when my device arrives
question, have you not considered have X-Y sliders to adjust the position of the notification circle/led and its scaling
This means you should theoretically have 1 app that supports all your current devices and futures devices other than minor compatibility fixes

There are position sliders in the app for sure. But theres much more going on in behind.
I highly optimize the app for specific manufacturers. For this there are a Samsung, Google, OnePlus and a Global version for now.
I couldnt manage to merge them all into one unfortunately, bacause they all have different always on display implementations.

It's awesome. It includes the kitchen sink, too! Check the Colors menu. I prefer the "Auto Colors" option for apps, I changed the Battery notification colors, and I might set specific colors for special contacts like my wife. It would be extra nice to be able to have the camera ring notification for my wife be extra noticeable.

Does that mean that when I have an unread WhatsApp message that creates a green ring around the camera cutout it costs me about 24% battery during 8 hours of sleep?

You can define how frequently and for how long the app generates the notifications, and even define sporadic notifications off x pattern for y amount of time if that's what you want.
nevermind I saw the post.
I don't think this app is for me. I did like the notification light on my nexus 4 but I have gotten used to not having one.

Let's say that a flashing light only requires 2/3 of that, it's still a lot.

I've always liked this app made for the other devices I've used. I doubt if it'll use even 2/3 of what you mentioned. Personally, I set mine to only notify for up to 5 minutes. Anything beyond 5 minutes, I know to just turn on my screen and see if I've had any new activity because I was most likely going to the bathroom or purposefully taking a nap away from my phone.
You can adjust as you see fit.
