How to Watch Movies using Attached Folder [Use Old Version]
- Extract Folder
- Drag & Drop Folder into Storage Card
- Open Folder
- Select Movie or TV Show - Movie or TV Show will start playing
Note: .elks is the file extension for the Movie file
How to Watch Movies Online - Latest Releases [Use Latest Version]
- Click Movies Icon
- You will see the following screen (Translated in English):
10Live.Com
Movie Name: X
Y
Z & So On.
- Click on a link to view its contents
- If you decide that this is the movie you want to watch, then you will see the following screen:
10Live.Com (Clicking this will take you back to the Movie Links)
????
Movie Title: @!?$
DVD Cover (Image)
???????
???????
View Movie (□□□) - Clicking this link will play the movie
-----------------
Note:
Sometimes, you will find that there are two links with three boxes in them, this means - the movie is split into two, hence two links. Clicking the first link obviously will play Part 1 and clicking the second link will play Part 2.
In addition to this, most movies have two versions. The first two links are the high resolution version (first half and second half). The later two links are "low resolution" version. The number under the links is required credit to watch the movie. Looks like you either needs to participate in the community or pay to get these credits.
P.S: I did some research and there are payment options as well but I'm unsure as to what you get if you do make a payment.
-------------------
GOOD NEWS:
I have been able to get a folder with all the links to 100's of movies and TV shows which will save you the time to manually hit every link but there might be cases where new movies come out, in which case I will update the folder on a regular basis (if I'm able to get the links). I will attach it in this thread.
BAD NEWS:
Unsolved Problems:
- Change language in PIE to view in English
- Remove Chinese subtitles
------------------------
Special Instructions:
I notice, for me - some movies don't play in new version and some don't play in old version. Because of this, I will be attaching both players i.e new and old so you have no problems whatsoever in watching the movies.
Solution:
Use "Old Version" for movies in the attached folder
Use "New Version" for watching movies online
Setup Instructions for Solution:
Drag & Drop both .cabs in your storage cardBased on what you want to watch, install one over the other. For now, this is the only solution I'm aware of. ------------------------
Missing .Elks (Movies):
You played a movie and you stopped or paused it and wanted to play it again but you notice the files are missing ,that's because they are located (depending on where you installed 10Live) in the following folder:
Go to Program Files on "main memory" or "storage card", open 10Live and then open the folder called "elks" - in there you will find your missing files.
------------------------
Credits:
- Special Thanks to River Moon & Raj from DotSIS Forums for the translation, hard work and support.
- Special Thanks to dung1291985 for creating the Movie folder making it easy on all of us to access these movies without the headache of manually clicking every link.
- Special Thanks to qaplus for the translation of the streaming player menu, settings and main menu.

Personal Review:
It's a beautiful piece of software with no lagging whatsoever even on Edge except I dislike the fact that there's no user flexbility in changing the "Chinese" language to "English" language as well as the Chinese subtitles that show up without an option to turn them off. The quality is amazing, however - even on EDGE
------------------------
End Notes:
I hope everyone will be able to use this guide & be able to enjoy FREE DVD-Quality streaming movies without the hassle of translating chinese webpages.
Enjoy!
Best Regards,
lukybandit

Atleast, post some feedback. Took me a while to write the guide. Let me know how it works for you.
I'm sticking this but before I do that, I need to see some positive response.
I was going to post Nice Work last night but didn't want to clog up the thread. It's so well organized. Anyway I figured 10live out doing the trial and error for the movies. I think the guide is great. I was amazed at the streaming quality on edge.
Anyway the only question I do have is: Where is this folder you speak of or is it the zip file?
GOOD NEWS:
I have been able to get a folder with all the links to 100's of movies and TV shows which will save you the time to manually hit every link but there might be cases where new movies come out, in which case I will update the folder on a regular basis (if I'm able to get the links). Hey, Thanks & I appreciate the way you think as most users just clog up threads with unnecessary questions & comments already answered in the guide. The folder is the zip file called 10live Streams. Did you try it yet? It has 100's of movies & TV shows that play just by clicking on them.
The streaming quality is amazing. I didn't expect to see movie quality like this over edge connection. I only got 2 bars in my area!
The software itself could use some stability and usability improvement. I hope they will cache the channel information instead of having to go back to server for each page. During testing, I spend more time just to navigate through the list than watching movies!
BTW, the middle icon in the home screen means "Community".
Thanks for that. I will update my post accordingly. Are you Asian? If so, do you understand everything? If you do, is there anything else you can tell us so we can maximize the functionality?
Also, Do you know how to play around with the settings?
Finally, It doesn't work for me sometime. I don't know why - It just keeps loading, and If i revert back to the old player, it works and some of the stuff doesn't work in the old player.
I want to watch videos constantly just using the New Version if possible. I'm guessing something to do with settings, Any help will be appreciated.
Just check the home screen again. The middle icon means "Member". The one below means "Community".
The version I got from 10live.com is 1.6.1538. Where did you get 1.62363? Is it more stable?
In my version the Setting screen has these default values:
Network Type: Auto
Buffer Time: 60 seconds
Volume: 5
Network Timeout: 60 seconds
Retry: 5 times
CMWAP limit: 200K
Continue From Stop( not sure what's this) : On
Reverse Video: Right hand
In setting screen, the left soft key is "Reset To Default", right key is "Return"
Hope this helps.
==
PS: Most movies have two version. The first two links are high resolution version (first half and second half). The later two links are "smooth" version (low res I think). The number under the links is required "credit" to watch the movie. Looks like you either needs to participate in the community or pay to get these credits.

Thanks for the quick reply and I appreciate you laying out the settings in English.
Can you post your version so I can install it and see if it's much better or not because some of the "movies" in the folder don't play and it just keeps loading.
Meanwhile, let me check my settings. Oh Also, Can you check the guide and see where you can fill in the blanks i.e. the Question Marks so I can have a fully functional guide. I really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot once again.
EDIT: Oh Also, When you play the Movie, what is the left & right softkey (I'm guessing this is return) and What are the options on the Menu in the left soft key?
Been Waiting For Something Like This....
I Have A Question... can i have the old version and the new version both installed on my phone or will it try to over-write the new one with the old one when i try installing it?

From what I've experienced the old player version plays the movies in the folder we have from lukybandit-"10live streams" the new player version plays the movies on the website....and yes if you install one the other will be replaced....I have both copies of the players and I install whatever player I need depending on the movie I want to watch...

I downloaded the 1.6.1538 directly from 10live.com website. They probably have different versions for different phones. But 1.6.1538 is the one set for S620.
In player window, the right softkey is "Return" as you guessed. The left one means "Option" with following navigation choices:
1. Progress (forward, backward control)
2. Zoom -> Regular, Wide Screen, Ultra-Wide screen
3. Full Screen
4. Reverse video
5. Play in background
6. Back to previous page
7. Exit

Exactly, you're right. I was experiencing the same problem but I guess that's how we'll have to play the movies.
"OLD VERSION" for files in the folder
"NEW VERSION" for movies from the website
In regards to having both softwares installed, I have both .cabs on my phone and depending on what I want to watch, I just install either/or and yes, it does overwrite the previous version.
Ok, the player looks nice and all, but is there actually a place to watch live tv on your cell phone? zoovision seems to be quite limited in what is available (who the **** watches **** VanDyke and the Andy Griffith show anymore???). I saw you have Fox News on your screen shots, where do we go for things like that?
amazing
the quality is very good, its amazing
Something i noticed......
ok i went into the folder of movies provided to us in a zip and i started watching barewolf part 1 i closed the program out in the middle of the movie (thats another thing i cant figure out how to close the program out) anyways i closed the program out and when i went back into the folder to try and finish watching the movie the file wasnt there anymore.. it seems that the file some how got deleted when i closed the program out in the task menu... has anyone else had this problem? all the movies keep deleting themselves when i close the program out... where do the files go?
Check the first post, guys. I have updated it accordingly with fixes/solutions and new translations.
Thanks to qaplus once again.

sounds great, but what is really needed for wm is an url snooper. An app that can fetch an url from streams and then open in a player, or better download it...that would be awesome.
Do you now any example you can provide me
thanks
I dream of an app that that could one of two - or both.
A) Be able to download a multimedia streams (like GetASFStream) where any multimedia URL will be downloaded. I could really use that to be able to download TV programs.
B) Be able to see/copy the URL of any multimedia streams (like URL SNOOPER 2), so I can bypass any FLASH VIEWER and just watch the stream in a player.
I am quite sure that none of this exists on WM.
This would be THE Multimedia App over them all - and I would pay for this.
Does it make sense?
Look at myplayer, I love it.

Lots of good recommendations here...
I've never used MochaVNC, but I would absolutely suggest TeamViewer for ease of use. Literally, anyone could use it.
I don't see SetCPU or CPU Tuner on there, but those are also great.
WhitePages also has a nice caller id feature for numbers not in your phone book. It will deliver in real-time if your phone does data/voice at the same time (sorry verizon).
thanks for the list, but root explorer needs root on my rooted x10 mini. how do i make it not requiring root? thanks.

It requires root to get root access for files, but not to actually use the program. I have a Nexus S that is not rooted right now, and I use it as a regular file manager.
trillian isent working on CM7? its keeps on signing in but doesnt ectually sign in....
I use titanium backup to backup all my apps. Never used mybackpro before.

I purchased both apps. I use MyBackupPro in situations where I haven't rooted the phone. I like Titanium better if the phone is rooted. They are both very good apps though.

Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
THANK YOU!!! Antennas is going to help me SOOO much with the network problems that I'm having at work with T-Mobile!
Updated list . . .
Nice list, thanks for taking the time to put it together. Quite a few new ones for me in here.
I've used Astro, but I prefer ES File Explorer for browsing over the network. I could never get Astro to work over the network. ES can scan for Windows/SMB shares and add them. It's been a while, but at the time Astro couldn't scan, you had to add manually by IP, etc., and I could never get it to work. ES made it easy, so I switched. But for normal file management I use Root Explorer. It's simple, fast, and just works.
For network snooping check out Network Discovery.
For a notes app check out ColorNote.
Live dmesg in market. Pretty cool boot animation. Its uber geek
Love the Overclocked "nonsense" CM7
You definitely need to add Springpad! Amazing note taking and task tracking app.

Best android applications (apps) for Samsung Galaxy SII T989

I have put together a list of good applications. There are (30) to begin with and almost all of them are free. I cannot say that they are "must-have" but they are "the best". Please feel free to add yours but only after you tried it, you checked your phone resources while have it installed (e.g. memory usage, battery drain, etc) and, of course, if your level of satisfaction was high. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO PROMOTE FIRST,SECOND OR THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS. PLEASE!
LIST OF BEST ANDROID APPS FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY SII T989
1. Advanced Task Killer Free 1.7.9
2. Astrid Task/To Do List
No other app gives as much detail to to do lists as Astrid. Its "advanced" options lets you set priority levels, integrate with Google Calendar, sync with Google tasks, and set up tags, alerts and periodic reminders. Astrid keeps it easy, for the most part, but also offers deeper settings if you're the obsessive, customize-everything exactly-how-you-want-it type.
3. Astro File Manager 2.4.2
Metago, www.metago.net/astro
We love apps. You love apps. Thing is, they can take up valuable space on your phone. To avoid running out of space, download Astro. The app lets you back up apps on your SD card; you can't run them from there, but you can swap out apps you aren't using.
4. Bonsai Blast 1.5
Glu Mobile, www.glu.com
Great games for Android aren't as rare as they used to be, but that didn't keep us from including Bonsai Blast once again.
5. doubleTwist Player 1.0.1
doubleTwist, http://twist.to/android
doubleTwist Player for Android is a slick media player app that helps make up for the lack of iTunes on your phone. Combine it with the desktop version of doubleTwist, and you'll turn your Android device into a portable multimedia powerhouse that syncs music, (un-DRMed) iTunes playlists, and videos as well as any Apple hardware does. It's a must-have for all music lovers.
6. Facebook for Android 1.2
Facebook, www.facebook.com/apps
This is the "official" Facebook app on Android, and it serves its purpose well enough. You can post status updates, take/upload photos, and check your news stream. It's a lot faster than using the Facebook Web app, so it's the best option on Android to stay connected to all your Facebook friends.
7. Google Voice 0.3.4
Google,www.google.com/voice
Google Voice for Android remains the best way to use Google Voice on a mobile phone. If you have a virtual Google Voice number, you'll be able to make outgoing calls and SMS messages easily, including international calls that run about 2 cents per minute. This app also lets you integrate your phone's built-in address book and call log for voice calls. There are other third-party apps out there that tap into Google Voice, but stick with Google's native app; it works almost seamlessly.
8. Photoshop.com Mobile 1.2.0
Adobe, mobile.photoshop.com
Still the best free photo editing app out there, Adobe's Photoshop.com Mobile gives you an arsenal of tools to use on your Android phone. You can crop, rotate, color-correct, or change images to black-and-white with a beautifully intuitive interface. The app integrates with free Photoshop.com online accounts, but unfortunately, not other popular services such as Flickr.
9. Replica Island 1.3
Team Replica, http://replicaisland.net
Replica Island is perhaps the most sophisticated free game app on the Android platform. As a platformer, where you collect coins and avoid enemies, it's similar to older video games like Mega Man and Super Mario Brothers. But it's a must-have game that provides 40 levels of fun, and it uses phone features, such as the accelerometer quite well.
10. Ringdroid 2.3
Ringdroid, code.google.com/p/ringdroid
Ringdroid is more than a ringtone app; it's really an audio editor for your Android phone. You can use it to clip audio files to make ringtones, but also for any other purpose—for example, sending audio recordings to friends. Just take almost any unprotected audio file that your Android phone can play, slide two sliders to the beginning and end of your clip, and in an instant your new sound is done.
11. Talk To Me Classic 1.7.8
Flaviu Negrean, www.flaviuapps.com
This nifty app has been updated since it first made our list in 2009. Originally, Talk To Me translated only English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian, with its speech-to-speech functionality. Now it has many other languages from which to choose. On top of adding languages like Chinese to its speech-to-speech arsenal, you can now translate many other languages by typing what you want translated into the program. This app is a must-have aid for any traveler.
12. The Weather Channel 2.3.22
The Weather Channel, www.weather.com
If you're in the market for a free comprehensive weather app, The Weather Channel app is as good as any. It gives you everything you'll need to know before you head out for the day—hourly, 36-hour, and 10-day forecasts, multiple locations, and live video from the TV channel. The app automatically updates your location using GPS, and its home screen widgets will keep you informed if it's time to get your umbrella out.
13. Wheres My Droid
Free
If you're anything like me, you've "lost" your phone many times only to find it tucked away in a jacket pocket or some other obvious—or not so obvious—locations. Now you can save yourself plenty of worry with Wheres My Droid [sic], which forces your phone to ring at maximum volume or vibrate when the phone receives a text message containing a specified phrase, such as "Where's my Droid?" The app can also tell you the phone's location, as long as its GPS is enabled.
14. ooVoo Video Calls

The Android video chat app supports group video, voice calls, and instant messaging—across iOS, OSX, Android, and Windows. Not only do you get solid Android video calling, but you can practically video chat with anyone.
15. Google Translate
The latest Google Translate update takes the app to the next level: Speak the words you want translated, and you'll get the result instantly, either spoken or on screen. It can be useful when you are abroad, if you have data roaming enabled.

Oh Thanks, Perfect...I didnt even know about half of those apps and I have been searching from a week...I hope others will get benefited from it and will shares theirs too..
I use 7 Pass for passwords because I can use the Desktop KeePass to make up and change the file and transfer to the phone. I get the dropbox integration but I have a REAL problem putting my secret, sensitive info out on storage that could be anywhere in the world including countries with less strict privacy and copyright policies. People have already been blackmailed with their secret info that was stored on cloud storage.
Apps I use:
7 - Pass
Weather channel app with live tile support. What I like most about the live tile integration they use is that it flips to a radar image and the current conditions and its free.
Built in Music Player
Camera App from Nokia: Creative Studio. The Build in panoramic feature is REALLY NICE and seemless.
eBay app
GasBuddy
Netflix
ShopSavy
Tango (The one from marketplace NOT labeled Nokia as it uses LTE not just WiFi)
Board Express
Newegg app (New I just started using it)
I use Windows Phone News about 5 times a day. Doing so I have followed tips to new apps and games that I got for free in their opening trial runs. Many are a couple bucks to buy now, but I got them for free.
Send to WP7 (I use this everyday, allows you to send the webpage/file to you phone from your desktop, Chrome to Phone was its old name or name on android.)
SkyDrive (Connects you to your Skydrive account and the 26GB of storage it gives you)
ScoreMobile (All sports scores live and past)
YouTube Pro (Download/Upload/Store on/from phone HD videos from Youtube)
Lyrics (Great lyrics app)
8Tracks & Mixtapes (Community created music mixes, streaming, select)
TuneIn Radio(If a radio station streams, they probably have it.
WpFandora (Pandora Client, Beautiful design)
Translator (Bing, new update makes for a fun app Voice/Vision/Text input/output methods)
Thumba Photo Editor Best photo editing app I have used for windows phone)
Concerts (Find where your favorite band is playing next)
FastXDA (Read only app for XDA forums, but it is fast, real fast)
Image Map Plus (Shows where your pics were taken on a map.)
ARMED! (Fun game, probably best non Xbox live game, and really it should be.)
SpellShipTactics (Interactive game of chess'ish, don't just move pieces, but controll and upgrade them in space battles.)
Wordament (Boggle type word game, you vs the internet, you could be playing ~1,000 other people in a game that starts every 2.5 minutes, last 2 minutes)
I have gone from an HD7 to the HTC Radar, and now the Lumia 900. Here is what has earned their keep in my Windows Phones:
Communication & Security
Freetalk - is a Google voice client. I couldn't indulge in my multi-phone, multi-carrier, multi-phone number lifestyle without Gogle Voice.
Rowi - a very full-featured Twitter client.
Skype - it's official! Version 1.0 was released on Friday. The Lumia 900 is great for Skype with the front camera.
Skydrive- this should be on every Windows Phone by default. 16 gb memory limit got you down? No problem! Set all your photos to automatically upload to Skydrive. Move downloaded files on to Skydrive.
LastPass - Password manager, (like 7 Pass). THe program is free to use on your Windows and Mac desktop, but you have to subscribe ($25/year) to use the mobile clients (WP7, iPhone, Android). I like it because it will fill out all passwords for me, generate secure new passwords, and store other secure information (credit cards, software licences).
Photo & Entertainment
Creative Studio - another great Nokia freebie that handles basic picture editing tasks (crop, exposure, color, contrast) as well as some artistic filters you can apply.
Picasa Metro - a client for Google Picasa Photos web service. I can upload pics from the phone to my Picasa folders, and use my Picasa pictures for things like backgrounds on the phone.
Fandango - see what's playing in movie theaters near you and buy tickets.
Netflix - a must have if you are a subscriber.
Vevo - primary site for music videos.
BBC Radio Player - listen to live BBC broadcasts. I am a big fan of programs in BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC London, and BBC Scotland. This plugs me in to those progams and all the goings on in the UK.
Reading
Weave - a deluxe RSS newsreader. Even if you don't have feeds that you follow, Weave lets you just point to subjects in which you are interested and it pulls in the top feeds for that topic. For example if you check the topic "Windows Phone" you will get Engadget, WMPoweruser, WPCentral, and others. You can uncheck any specific feeds in which you are not interested. This eliminates the need for individual reader apps (CNN, USA Today, Engadget, etc.) and gives me a single place to read everything. At the other end of the scale, you can import your entire Google Reader subscription list.
XDA-Developers - duh!
XMarks - all my bookmarks from my desktop are here on the phone.
Amazon Kindle - all my books available here.
CNN, ESPN, USA Today, Engadget, WPCentral - these are all well designed news apps with live tile support.
Shopping
eBay - A must-have for e-bay buyers and sellers.
Amazon Mobile - great for impulse buying new gadgets you read about in Weave!
Misc
Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive - Hey fellow Windows Phone owners, we have great turn-by-turn directions for FREE from Nokia, so neener, neener, neener!
Evernote - I couldn't work without this multi-platform note taking / web clipping application. Whenever I find something on the web that I might need later I paste it into Evernote and add subject tags. That way I can pull it up any time in the future. There are versions for WP7, iPhone, Android, Nokia Symbian, Windows desktop and Mac. All information is kept in sync between all your devices.
Timer - it's just a timer, like you have on your stove or microwave. But I use it all the time for cooking and knowing when to take the clothes out of the wash.

Newegg app (New I just started using it)

have you used the scan app in Bing search? How does that compare for you? I tried both and use the Bing one now.
Great people......its helping me sure...i think I got at least 10 apps since morning. I will add all the unique apps in the op, if someone really wants me too.
Sent from my Lumia 900 using Board Express

Here's mine and my Tile arrangement. I'll also add UC browser.

I have used both scan apps. The thing I worry about with Bing is someone being shown to me because they paid bing to be at the top of the list (like google does).
I have used both and found that bing might be more complete on barcodes.

Not sure how to take that. Super Bowl ads that we see and sometimes love, go to the companies that pay for them. Nothing gets on the airwaves anymore with $$$.
Run Keeper - Been using this for over a year and still feel this is the best Run Tracker on the market. Track run, calories burn, miles ran, weight loss and seamless integration to the website for charts, graphs and facebook sharing
Interval Timer - Create workout, interval / crossfit training, etc.
or
XTREME Tabata - Simple timer to track your tabata workout. Slick interface
WpFandora - 3rd Party Pandora app. Great 3rd party app.
or
Slacker Radio
Wiztiles - although limited due to restrictions, you can create custom tiles and have certian links. You can put a backside pic and text of the type of link
Wikitude - augmented browser
White Noise - Great sound machine for sleep or relaxation. Not as good as Android version, but still nice. Needs some polishing though.
PhotoFunia - Fun app to alter pics, put a face on a hockey player, become an astronaut, billboard, etc. Always a cool app for altering pics.
Pageonce - track all your bills, credit card payments and due dates in one site. Great tool for the money spender and procrastinators
Latitude Auto Update - Background service app that updates your latitude location for people who have accounts and like for friends and family to keep in touch with their location
gMaps - a decent alternative to get google maps. I really just use it for the Latitude function to track my friends and family since everyone still is on Android.
Flixster - Movie app like Fandango
ConnectivityShortcut - simple shortcuts to your Wifi, Bluetooth, Cell Data, and Airplane Mode. Creates tiles for them.
AnTuTu Benchmark - Benchmark testing
Creative Studio by Nokia - simple app for pics. Some filters, crops etc. I just use it for the panoramic feature. Works pretty good.
Flashlight 7 - flashlight
Vimeo - Vimeo video app. How there's not one for YouTube is beyond me I'd like a dedicated app, not an app that links to the mobile site
Everything else has been pretty much mention

Once upon a time search engines showed you results based on relevance to your query. Now anyone with enough money can be put up higher on the list than what is relevant.
Thanks to all those who figured out how to make a buck off of my searches =/
A couple that haven't been mentioned yet:
Adobe Reader
Though not essential, if you receive PDF files on your email and want to open them, you will need it.
Baconit
Mentioned before, but deserves way more recognition. Incredible and smooth experience to browse reddit. Highly recommend it.
Diagnostics
Not an app from the Marketplace, but very handy to have. Dial ##634# on your phone keypad and it will automatically download it. This app allows you to run a plethora of diagnostic tools on your phone, including screen color tests, vibration tests, camera flash test (eliminates the use of apps like Flashlight-X), battery status tests, and so on.
Flixster
A good alternative to the IMDB app. Has issues with using GPS though.
Whatsapp
Everyone knows this one. Cross-platform IM app. Uses data. Push notifications work fine, but alerts are not app specific, so if you have vibrate and/or ring enabled, you will receive an alert EVERY time someone messages you (can be a problem when having group chats). Push can be turned off within the app, but it sort of defeats the purpose if you won't know who messaged you until you open the app.
Wikipanda
Best Wikipedia app I've tried. Clean and stable.
InstantReddit
FailBlog
Flashlight XT (no ads)
UC (web browser)
WolframAlpha
Youtube Pro
Thats it? no more apps?
Any free app for google talk(voice and video) ?? I did not find any...
Anybody know if there are any HDR camera apps on the marketplace? I haven't been able to find one
Edit: Sorry for getting off topic
