PSA: Android Auto "no sound" issues may be caused by Samsung Good Lock's Multi Star - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

PSA: Android Auto "no sound" issues may be caused by Samsung Good Lock's Multi Star
tl;dr: disable the Multi Sound feature in Samsung Good Lock's Multi Star app.
I tried every workaround suggested with my Note10+ - new cables, re-pairing, resetting Android Auto, resetting my head unit. All my other devices worked fine with Android Auto.
I stumbled stumbled upon the solution elsewhere - the problem is caused by the Multi Sound feature in the Multi Star app, which is launched from inside the Good Lock app. This app is used to extend Samsung's built-in multi-window functionality. You don't need to disable it, only to disable the Multi Sound feature (the first toggle).
It might not work for everybody but it's definitely the cause of my AA sound issues.

Heartbleed an issue for our GS3?

;So ... at the behest of some of the "security experts" I downloaded the Bluebox Heartbleed Scanner from the Play Store and got the following interesting results.
I'm running a TW ROM based on Samsung's Android 4.3 release. I was under the impression that only Android 4.1 was affected. So should we be worried?

I emailed the developers of the scanner app and here is their response concerning our GS3 on Android 4.3:

The version of OpenSSL is within the affected range but the heartbeats feature has been disabled, leaving you safe. *It turned out the version number isn't enough to confirm vulnerability.
We are working on a scanner update that will test whether the OpenSSL library has the heartbeat feature enabled/disabled rather than relying on the version number alone. That should fix the confusion you are seeing. *Stay tuned.
Thanks for the feedback!

It would have said "this version ... is vulnerable, but heartbeats are disabled so you're safe" if things were OK.
It says so on my phone.
Maybe you should giveit another try with the curren version, I have 1.2.1 from playstore.

Flip for Speaker feature missing

I recently upgraded to M8 from old One S and missing "Flip for Speaker" feature a lot. If somebody doesn't know that was a feature in many HTC phones earlier that would turn on speakerphone during call if you flip your phone screen down on the table. Helps a lot during those wait times etc. There is no such thing on M8 and I'm missing it a lot. I thought first that may be they removed it due to the front speakers, but I tested speaker and microphone face down and see absolutely no issue. I tried a separate "UpSoundDown" app, but it doesn't work very well.
Can somebody tell me is there a ROM that has the feature that I'm looking for? Is there a Kernel that can enable it? Where to look for this and where to request it if feature wasn't implemented?

No any input on this?
If anyone interested the best solution I found so far is Auto Speaker app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hanan.android.ramkol&hl=en
It works pretty good , but still I would much prefer "Flip for Speaker" option, because of lower power consumption during those waiting times and due to the way Auto Speaker switch works.
Does anyone know xposed module with such functionality? Where would be a good place to put a rom/xposed request like this?

[Tip] Solve the problem of the cut text

Hello !
Sorry for my level English :good:
After extensive research and collaboration with Jonathan L - developer of the Boss for Wear Application Music - I found a way to fix the bug on our Moto 360 (which must also be present on other round watches) which cuts text in numerous applications.
Indeed, if the language of the watch is not US English, round watches are like square watches detect when an app that checks the form and therefore cut the text.
To resolve this concern pending a fix from Google, nothing more simple:
* - Reinstall the watch
* - Choose English (US)
* - Synchronized with the watch phone
But what is good about this trick is that one way or another (I do not know the reason for it), the phone will force the clock to use the language used on the same phone.
So you Google Now and menus (settings, etc.) in the language of your phone, in my case French. It is not pretty?
An example for the Boss Wear Music app:

Since we all know google have blocked cast screen(Miracast/Screen Mirroring) option in Our device, also most of the device,Even Pixel's as to promote their use of Chrome cast instead.. Moreover they has depreciated it due to security issue.. And it may be completely removed in further Android release!
Currently we still have it as a option in the stock rom, Called Cast , but it is of no use.. As there is no option to enable it.
But on some custom roms such as rr it is fully functional!
After many pnc of various apps,i have found a app which can make the miracast work even without root! Yeah! The only thing is you can't Stream your whole Screen To Your Tv/other device... But you can stream local media files, etc.
BubbleUPnP - UPnP/DLNA/Chromecast Control Point and Renderer
You guys can discover other features of the app by ourselves.. i tested casting movies and photos to my tv .
By default the app has some triall features.. you will have to purchase premium version of it to make all features work.
So that it! Though you can't mirror whole of you screen,bt something is better than nothing :+1:

Any device supports AOD but most likely it is only included in devices with amoled displays due to battery consumption.
In one of my Xiaomi devices; Mi 8 Lite used a ROM ported from other Xiaomi device with amoled and it worked fine too.
I'm not sure, in AOSP ROMs, it looks like actually due to some policy was retired from Android 10 so I didn't see it in any custom ROM like was present in Pie.
I'm actually using an app that works even better that native AOD created by Samsung so it has the feature (retired since years by Samsung), it can show only the notification in a black environment without light up all the screen, no battery drain at all, you need to disable on-screen notification from settings if you have enabled and prefer this (like me) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achep.acdisplay&hl=en
