Alright, so how do I move the clock back to the right where it belongs? - Google Pixel 3a XL Questions & Answers

I'm rooted with Magisk. I'm not seeing any magisk mods that fix the clock, specifically -- I imagine there are some that allow for a lot of system UI control... anybody wanna help me out?

I haven't used it lately because I'm on a custom ROM, but try Gravity Box. You need to install xposed for pie through magisk first though. Follow this guide to do so... https://magiskroot.net/download-xposed-for-android-pie/
After xposed is installed download gravity box for pie and activate it & you should be good to go.

It's proprietary? That doesn't sound right... I'm not giving any proprietary software root access.

For Pie you can try this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/themes/mod-center-statusbar-clock-p-t3818726

Or you can run my Substratum theme Translucent Substratum

Yes, you can.
For the lollipop version:

Thank you! Hey, I.never got lollipop. Anyway I just read "gravity box" isn't compatible with sense. Isn't that what this phone uses stock?

Unless you have a GPE version, than yes the stock M8 has Sense.
xposed has its own forum section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed
And thread for Gravity Box is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v3-1-4-tweak-box-android-t2316070
Thanks. Are those the best best available options for tweeking this phone while remaining stock?

There are a variety of different xposed modules, and also some mods available separate from xposed (see Themes and Apps forum section for M8). What is "best" is a matter of opinion, and depends also exactly what tweaks you are looking for.
Gotcha. Yeah I've downloaded a lot of them so far. Did a backup beforehand and an just trying each one 1x1. Pretty cool.

Lloyds app works even though rooted

Hi All,
I've just installed the Lloyds Banking app which I believed was blocked due to being rooted but it's absolutely fine and is working as i'd have expected it to be, haven't tried barclays yet, I'm running viper rom at the moment, was seriously surprised to see it actually function.
Just thought i'd share in case anybody was about to try themselves.
Am trying to run my own back app but it doesn't want due to root !
Tried all the apps to hide my root but no success
Any other tips or workarounds to get it to work on root ?

Haven't bothered with Xposed as of yet as i've found that it murders the battery life on devices it's installed on, I might give it a whirl over the weekend.
Have you got xposed installed yourself? Was the installation quite simple?
I've used xposed before but it's changed since lollipoop came out, have used root cloak before too but it didn't help with certain apps, virgin anywhere and barclays.

Hi:
The Installation is simple just follow the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
First install with the recovery, and then the apk. The battery consumption did not see. Also use Amplify.

Try this. I use it on ROMS that don't have a lot of font choices and it works great. No root needed.

You mean they just uninstall by themselves? I've never run into that issue and I've used alot of the fonts on there. Hmmmm, well that is the only one I use. If you were rooted you could flash a font mod but since you're not I guess the playstore is your only option. Maybe there are some other apps in there that will work better for you. Sorry couldn't help more.

I wish I was rooted too... The thing is this phone is too complicated to root... I don't understand it at all. People have tried and tried and there's no root that states its for marshmallow... I wanna root it to install many things but can't.

I see you have an AOSP based rom tho. Xposed always had little trouble working on those. I wonder if anyone with stock or stock-ish ROM got it working. I tried, but as of right now, just like xposed dev said, it bootloops. I guess I will wait for something stable.

Really? Well, I guess that xposed installer just shows a general status then. Well anyway, I found a rom that has xposed preinstalled for S9+ so I went with that. A lot of things crashing tho, can't even search for anything in play store :/ Guess I will wait for a stable version.

Dude, that was a while ago and there are plenty of guides on XDA you can use rather than me making a be one...

security unlock code random number

Seen a app somewhere on here, not sure if it was a custom room, or if it was a app, that every unlock it changes the position on the numbers so if somebody checks your screen they won't know what exact numbers you hit based on location of typical keypad. If so please name the app or room. Fully rooted so can flash whatever

This can be done with renovate ice rom which I personally use, I think I also saw the option in gravity box if you want to take the plunge and install Xposed.

Okay thanks, might install renovate rom. Wish it was a app tho. And not sure what you mean about taking the plunge. Must be hard or difficult. So think I'll pass. Really only trust roms from xda. Thanks for the reply

I wouldn't say it's difficult by any means just a lot of people don't trust it on pie because it's closed source. Renovate rom is a magisk module that modifies oxygen os so you keep the fp scanner and don't even have to wipe your data. Much simpler and safer than Xposed if that's all your looking to do.

But if you are looking for other mods, there is EdXposed and GravityBox that gives the number shuffling on the PIN screen and more.

I have EdXposed installed and working.
I enabled the option in GravityBox to scramble numbers for PIN.
I don't have any issues. I'm also running a custom kernel.
SafetyNet still passed and Pay along with banking app work.
Followed this thread.

I remember using a similar app called TimePIN, but I'm pretty sure it has been pulled from the Play Store
Wait, doesn't android have this built in? Or is the random number pin option only for when you put in the code for the first time?
Edit: Nah, it seems to be a feature of my current ROM (Havoc and AOSiP have it under their special menu -> Lock Screen)
