So the Galaxy Note 8.0 is currently stuck on Android v4.2.x, which sucks if you want to keep the TouchWiz features.
The Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 Edition have both been released with more updated software, and an updated TouchWiz - I'm really curious as to why we haven't seen any ports of those ROMs over to the Note 8.0. I tried searching, and came up empty. Anyone?

Using the rom porter app from here on xda, I ported the note 10.1 2014, but have been afraid to try it as I have only had my note 8 a month, and had a hard time with gaining root.

Hi I would test this for you but my note is the n5100 not the /5110 what you have got could you port it to mine then I could test mate

Hi, Devs it would be nice to have such a heavy rom on oneplus 3 as it's got 6GB Ram. It any developer can do that it would be really appreciated by the OP community :good:

MI5 PRO has 4 GB and MIUI8 is currently in beta in China only.

No need to be rude. MIUI is a good system. I remember using it back in the day when it was supported more. Apart from the bloated software, its actually really nice V8. I hope someone can get this working as well but if not then I'm good with what it brings lol

I guess you have a fake phone then, cause they only have 2 variants:
128 GB, 4 GB RAM - Pro edition
32/64 GB, 3 GB RAM - other editions
As the question says has anyone tried to flash a rom that was supposed to run in Redmi note 5 pro and does it works?
As far as i know the specs of these two devices are the same except the camera.
Yea should work as long as its for codename whyred which is the codename for both pro/china.

Should still work, most people use gcam anyway.
Depth effect in gcam not so dramatic like using MIUI...
