[Q] Good charging cable for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2012.

Hey all.
I need a good quality charing/sync cable for my Note 10.1 2012, have looked around for some hours now and can only find dirt cheap chinese made cables.
I want qualty and i want to charge it as fast as possible, around 6ft or 2m is good, not shorter but can be longer. Is this possible. im willing to forfeit sync for charging if needed to.
Have you guys fond anything worth buying?
the anker 6ft / 1.8m Nylon Braided Micro USB Cable looks sweet, but only for micro usb. (i cant post links yet)
I use these adaptors - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009ZQKMDA - and then you can use whatever micro-USB cable you want. Charges fast enough for me.
Aah thanks, ill will try one of those. they give you full charge speed?
Im still interested in a good charging cable if anyone should find one.
Yes, speed of charging is as close as I can tell to the original Samsung cable.

Better use micro USB cable combine with micro USB to Samsung 30 pin adapter.
I'm using micro USB cable from my Note 4 & it took ~5 hrs to charge from 0% to 100%
EDIT: avoid long cable. The longer the cable the more resistance it creates therefore longer charging time.
A little update, i think i found a realy good cheap cable.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331036667675?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It says www.sparTechnik.de on the cable. but made in china.
The cable itself is about 4mm thick and is very flexible. build quality seems very good, no slack in the connector.
It charges while note is beeing used at full brightness and bluetooth-wifi-gps on. also supports sync and data transfer, i have tested.
bought another 3 of it and now starts the durability test. ill report inn if/when it breaks (if i remember) o)
Just incase anyone is looking for a quick emergency purchase. They do carry some at Best Buy. (at least some stores have them in stock.). I had to get one after my original cable lost a battle with our Vacuum cleaner. But I can say this one has a good quality feel to it and I haven't had any issues with it. It charges and sinks no prob.
If it was a little longer I would have bought 2 of them. Of course now they go on sale.... Story of my life. :silly:
I can't do links yet so just search on their website for it. It was only $14.99

I bought my original LeMax 2 in the US and got a USB-C charger and cable (both sides), so I had to find and deal with a wall plug replacement at home.
It's worked fine and is still working, even if the US->EU adapter is somewhat large, at least *after* I found out that I wasn't reversible (despite USB-c) at the charger side (but reversible at the phone side).
Le next (sorry but 'le' is 'the' in French and it's soundy very silly to say 'the Le') Max2 I bought for my son and that came with a US charger, a flimsy US->EU adapter and a USB-A to USB-c cable: That charger and the phone no longer seem able to negotiate proper voltage levels, but the problem seems to be more with the cable, as it works with another USB-A to USB-c cable. This original cable is a bit odd anyway, as it is actually reversible at the USB-A (non-c) side.
Since I wanted to cut down on the risk of electrocution and my son borrowing my charger I bought him an Anker QuickCharge 3 compatible charger from Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/Anker-PowerPo...79601842&sr=8-1&keywords=anker+quick+charge+3). Works perfectly and very quickly.
And then I went full steam ahead and bought another Anker charger to consolidate my sockets, since I have quite a few Androids and was running out of outlets (or rather daisy-chaining extension chords and sockets to nightmare levels):
https://www.amazon.de/PowerPort-Hoc...79601842&sr=8-5&keywords=anker+quick+charge+3
This one is a bit pricy but allows for quite a bit of consolidation, while it also offers at least one QuickCharge port.
And once you've tested QuickCharge, it's difficult to go back
It's full metal and feels very solid. Hopefully it also doesn't waste power unless it is actually charging.
Ask me again in a year or two if they fulfilled their quality promises without killing any phone or tablet

Dash Chargers and Cables

hello, guys!
I am planning to keep my op 3t for its usable life (2 years?) so these days I am looking for correct car dash charger and cable for cheap. I have already have a quick charge 3 car charger and a bunch of Samsung quick charge 3 compatible cables from my wife's galaxy s7 edge.
I have following Questions:
At what pace my qc3 car charger charge the op3t if I use a genuine cable?
do we have some cheap alternate options for Dash charger type c cable and/or car charger?
if I use a USB type c converter for my other Samsung cables, will they perform as good as op genuine cables?
I think the only way to really charge as fast as dash charge does is to use a official charger from their website, other than that charging times will be longer
I recently found a bunch of articles on non-compliance for chargers/cables/adapters, and was curious if these issues were fixed or not. I just bought a pack of 3 micro USB to USB-C adapters, and the amazon page says they include the Ohm resistors built in but I'm not sure they are safe--and won't risk damage to my house or phone over cheap adapters. Aside from the official ones, anyone have insight on good chargers with cables on Amazon or in stores? Don't mean to hijack the thread, but it seems applicable here.
I bought the cable on Amazon and it seems nearly identical, I have not compared them side by side tho, first day left oem wire (that came with phone) at work and have my dash charger at home, about 60 min charge for the day is great.
So the wire I bought from Amazon seems to work perfectly fine and on point with official 1+ outlet dash charger... It was like 13.50 or something.
Well you can check that dash charge works on different cable, when you charge by it you should have Blue led + dash charge info at the bottom of the lock screen

First I thought that it is, but isn't. Since the OEM Dash cable was a bit too expensive for me, I tried this one https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B074H6MGZH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
To be honest, I was only looking for a cable that looks like the OEM one because I was 99% sure that I wouln't get the Dash charge capability for the 10 € that I paid.
Turns out better than I thought and got a bonus. Looks and feels like the OEM and supports Dash charge.
Best Regards, Talpes

european speedy chargers

Is there any brand of fast European chargers that people can recommend. The only one I have heard of is Olixar.

What about the Dash Charger for the OnePlus 3(T)? I mean, it is one of the best available at the moment.
I think they wanted about 30 quid for it which i thought was a bit too steep, but that might have been a bundle.
As far as I know, the only other brand of "Dash compatible" charger are Oppo Vooc charger. You may have to use your original Oneplus 3 dash cable or some people reported using a USB micro to C adapter worked too.
Sadly OP only installed a USB 2 (type C) with NO "standard" fast charging capabilities, so you're stuck with Dash or Vooc (which are both he same btw)

SuperVOOC car charger

Ordered and received a couple of days ago.
So far so good.
OPPO SuperVOOC Car Charger.
Maximum 10V 5A 50W stable output to charge your phones and support 5V2A Quick Charge.
Multiple over-current, over-voltage protection.
The only strange issue is there was no cable included so I had to order one also.

Yes I know. Tried my last oneplus charger displays "superVOOC", but that's not SuperVOOC 2.0! It has a huge difference in charging speed.

Hey mate, i'm looking at getting this too. Did you have to buy the official USB C cable for it to work? I can't work out what the requirements are for the cable in order to get SuperVOOC 2.0 speeds. Just curious as i bought a standard USB C cable (one in the box is too short IMO) and although I had it plugged into the SV2.0 charger I couldn't get it to charge at SV2.0 speeds
The cable has to be the official one, because it's the only one that has [email protected] Most other cables have 5A. I also looked in China but couldn't find any that has these specs, yet.
I have also bought this charger and it is Super Vooc charger, meaning it is not 2.0 version, I use it with original cable, but the speed difference is not huge, it still charges fast enough.

hello
have a nice day
I have some advice for UK residents.
The SuperVOOX car charger its only 7.99 pounds in the OPPO official website, but it seems to be permanently out of stock.
Now, accidentally I found they are selling a bundle of the supervooc car charger + supervooc cable for 18 pounds, I think it´s a great deal so I bought it last weekend and it should arrive soon, heres the link:
https://oppomobiles.co.uk/car-kit.html
The funny thing with this is that the bundle is not listed in the web in the accessories or in any other part, you can only find it if you search for something related like "car" or "supervooc"
I also chatted with them asking about the car charger being out of stock and they didnt tell me about this bundle...

Great find. I’ve just bought a OnePlus 8 Pro wich supports WarpCharge 30T. This is the same as VOOC 4.0 I believe and they are both 5v @ 6A = 30W. Would this charger and cable charge my 8 Pro at 30W? Many thanks in advance.

not sure if it will be any good but the reviews of the product seem to indicate that it is in fact the real deal, i personally need the super fast charging as i drive since it takes me 30 minutes to get to work super fast charging would be ideal.
anyway i have decided to buy an inverter for the car to use the one that came with the phone for now, but it would be nice to have a proper car charger without all the extra mess them wires are going to be making.
USB type-C cables don't have to be OEM but they do have to be the right standard (& the standards get added to frequently so get an up-to-date cable), Qualcom PD/QC is much more common than Mediatek VOOC & they work in completely different ways.
VOOC pulses the power wires to communicate between charger/cable/phone (all 3 have chips) whereas PD/QC communicates via the data wires.
The result of this communication is different too, VOOC leaves the line at 5V & just changes the current [Edit]it seems SuperVOOC can also select 10V[/Edit] but PD/QC selects between various Voltage/current combinations & can get up to 20V.
If communication fails completely the charger defaults to 5V & max 2.1A with the phone deciding how much current to draw.
The previous micro-USB fast-charge standard is different again, it uses a plain cable & just communicates between phone & charger to select 2.4A, 3.1A or 4.2A vs the default max 2.1A

So, any feedback or review?
yes apologies i completely forgot to let people know, so basically the item works well and the phone tells me it is charging at super vooc 2.0 speeds, however I've used the app ampere and its definitely not as fast as the wall plug version but is certainly fast enough, also I'm not using the stock cable that came with the phone as that didn't seem to work very well with the charger so instead I'm using another one of my cables which is a volutz cable, i wasn't actually aware it would work since i bought it for another phone but seems to work really well, so all in all i would highly recommend the charger as it seems to be the best option for on the go and is certainly cheap enough.
