i think we dont need this APK, Because we have all of that options on Stock Camera...

You have it on stock rom.
But I thought on CM based Roms. Maybe there is a need for stock Miui Camera.

Redmi Note 3 don't have Dualcam so maybe this Port also don't have DC Support. But I don't know for sure.

Does Redmi Note 5 Pro(India) support Level 3 Camera 2 API? Maybe in one of the custom ROMs?
I'm asking so as to know if this mod is supported by our phone.

I have tested if our device support Level 3 by an app name Camera2 probe the result is no. It doesn't support Level 3 Camera 2 API.
* Using MIUI 10 Redmi Note 5 AI (China)

Check ROM s, kernels....etc...section....
But I'm getting back to RR 'cause aex felt same like RR in battery and performance with a major bug "bt audio isn't working"..and I have bt headphones only....

Working in miui 9.5.11.0 global
I have successfully installed the ported Nokia camera and it's working successfully , way more than Gcam for me anyway .
Also unlike Gcam it detects the front cam as 20 mp instead of the usual 5mp by third party apps.
My room is miui 9.5.11.0 global with camera2api enabled manually.

There are a few steps you need to enable it in MIUI

You have to be on oreo to support level 3 api

Hi,the portrait mode works in front camera but it breaks the flash of front cam(no option of flash is coming even in photo mode).do you have any workaround for that?really appreciate your efforts.

Yeah because MI5 doesn't have the front LED flash, and this mod is extracted and ported from MI5!

I flashed global beta 8.7.26., after rebooting I flashed UpdateBR .zip, so to have portrait mode. After rebooting the device is on 8.7.12 global beta again, as a downgrade. Thanks for your attention

Due to old build.prop, and here I have a good news that 8.7.26 is comes with official AI portrait mode (depth effect) for front camera so just flash the 8.7.26 and and forget to flash UpdateBR.zip. Portrait mode is just available for front camera, cheers!

This mod is for MIUI10 V 8.7.12>8.7.19 (7.1 and 8.1 both)

I cannot unlock bootloader .. when I unlock i see after 240 hours

is there a working gcam port for redmi 5a MIUI 10

I was using "GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.apk" In MIUI 9 and it worked fine after enabling camera2api causing the stock camera app to crash. But in MIUI 10 even after enabling camera2api stock camera is working and gcam is not. I have tried BSG, Arnova8G2 and scrubber gcam ports none of them seem to work.

From what I have heard GCam is useless on MIUI 10 stable as it does not have Camera2 application programming interface implemented in it, which means adding the line HAL3....... Or using camera2api module by magisk wont enable it. So to use gcam u either have to use Cusrom or go back to miui 9 or just wait till xiaomi implements this API in their further updates.

Very sad feeling. I don't think Xiaomi will add it back. If they will add it in the future then why did they remove it in the first place. That's it I'm moving to a custom rom.

They may add it. At least it was supposed in beta 8.11.8 but i can't say for sure since beta updates for riva have been suspended since the 8.11.1 update for testing oreo. U can check out this article.

Thank you for the reply I already downloaded a custom rom but haven't flashed yet. There isn't any custom rom feature packed lile MIUI for redmi 5a. I can wait until the next update.

As a matter of fact there is. Have u tried Xiaomi.eu roms? They arey based on MIUI china version but heavily debloated and with a lot of perks.

STABLE GCAM 6.1 - No patch and no root

Hello guys!
I finally found a stable 6.1 gcam for our beloved whyred. My model is Chinese AI red. I am currently using Havoc OS 2.4 (Android 9) without any patch, root or modified kernel. All standard of rom itself.
The apk's author is marlin-ku (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-marlin-ku/)
Notice: You need camera2api enabled!
Recommendations:
Disable 4k video (use full hd)
HDR on the front camera DOES NOT WORK (but if you disable it, everything works)

I do not have the MIUI to test, just Havoc OS, but a person who has tested it and said it did not work.

You're right, Xiaomi should enable camera2api by default, on MIUI Pie it's just a value on build.prop, nothing more nothing less, it's awfull marketing

I have camera2api enabled but get only forced close.

I'm using MASIK 4.1 Miui pie. Front camera work fine for photos and videos. One bug is superzoom in front camera video with 60fps.
But finally we can use one GCAM TRUE Stable.

What is your ROM? Kernel? Firmware? Do you have root?

Im on LineageOS 16 with Magisk 19.1 and 9.4.18 firmware installed.

Very interesting. I have the latest version of Havoc OS 2.4, on my Chinese note 5 with stable firmware 10.3.4, with absolutely nothing else (root, patch camera, kernel) and this was the most stable version I've ever installed on my whyred. Everything works, minus HDR on the front camera and the 4k video. Everything else works perfectly here.
