If the speaker starts crackling at high volume, immediately lower the volume and report on the thread.
I've increased the gain by 5dB on all the versions which should be within safe threshold.

Should i wait for new version of mod with these or the current will be just fine?
Is there a way to decrease the volume.? because it's very loud, especially at the lowest volume.
Another thing pls, can i separate the notification volume from the ring volume, like Samsung phones.?

This module just edits the mixer paths, it would not be possible to separate them with just mixer paths xml

Couldn't seem to mount vendor/etc in root explorer (Any help in general would be grateful)
Replaced via winrar and flashed modified zip

I have tried the options listed with editing the mixer system file and before that, tried the increase volume app from the Play Store but nothing seems to work.. WHat is the best way to increase the volume for the speaker, headphones and bluetooth??? Please advise. Thanks!

Yup, that works nicely, but:
1. Dont forget to change permissions on file file, or youll go into bootloop (happened to me before)
2. Im still waiting for a BT volume tweak because i dont think the mixerpath tweak works with bluetooth.

Your headphones must be having a problem man coz Nokia X has excellent audio quality(in my view).Try with different headphones.
Else if they are alright then try flashing a sound mod(It is totally your choice but my recommendations-PureAudio Engine-it works great with this phone).

Ok.. I will upload the saved setting of V4A for you. You need to restore it to apply the effect.
I have edit mixer path to have more volume out from speakers and headhpones
Backup original file from
/etc (file) mixer_paths.xml
And copy this one to there... then chance permission to rw-r--r--
The file will overwrite itself whit the one located also on
/System/etc
If you dont do it this way for some reason you may have some sort of problems where some app doesn't hear and video lags
Reboot then your set... enjoy and please hit the thaks bottom

Yes it will work as there is little to no difference between 376 and 378 firmware

Hey mate,
I've just finish to replace my file with yours. After a reboot, it worked very well, I've notice a very good enhance volume on my headphone. (I was testing this at work so I couldn't test the speakers.

I've noticed this morning, when the sound is very low, there are some Sizzling sounds when I play some music, I've tried with two pair of earphones so maybe it's because something isn't properly adjusted ?

Well that is pretty normal when it comes to sound amplification, everything is amplified from the music to the background noises and hissing

I am also interested in this mod, for Nougat.
No sound on youtube app. With original files works.

Check it out, but every build is changing the structure mixer_paths.xml.
You can edit the file yourself mixer_paths.xml in its sole discretion.

in the old days there was an file that you can modify, but at oreo 8.1 i dont find the line that i must change to boost the headphones. any idea? it is rooted, viper4android is installed but viper4android doesnt work that good for this.

If you haven't tried the latest V4A, download the latest version from this thread. I think you'll find it does what your looking for. However, you do have to be rooted. :good:

Nor sure what, setting you're using with viper but playback gain provides at least a doubling of max volume. Use v4a_2.5.zip for a fully functioning viper in 8.1.

I just copied the settings from the earpiece. So it's obviously not going to be loud. I have to wait for my phone to be repaired and flash a custom rom again. So I can do more testings. It was confirmed working by a friend of mine, I didn't conduct any testings in person, so I don't know how it sounds.

Too loud because the rom's default earpiece volume is 91. I had to manually decrease it to 85 in mixer_paths

it is no way going to effect output audio
if u really want to increase earpiece volume
edit rx1 digital volume value upto 91(safe limit)
2)installing okk dosent mean its working

How is it wrong information? DEC1 is related to earpiece volume and like i said, this is on Evolution X rom so i don't know if it differs from other roms, even the developer himself that I work with in testing is confirming this. Do some research before accusing people

Like I've said I didn't test it on my phone, so I don't want to blow anyone's earpiece. Now that I've installed PE CAF on mine, I could test it. However, I'm trying to get my module onto magisk-repo (aka the download page), but the moderators are so strict and rude. It'll take a while before I could update it. Thanks for understanding.

Just added the earpeice to play simultaneously, but it does sound somewhat stereo.
Doesn't work if AML is enabled.
