Anyone know of the ThinQ G7 T-MOBILE variant can use GCAM camera apps work ? As I understand no root is available for this variant. But wanted to make sure I can use GCAM with this variant. Planning on acquiring as a backup. Is RAW or full camera2api supported or just partial?

Officialy not, however, there's already a TWRP with treble support for the Moto G5.

To put it simply no. we still need 64 bit architecture. there's older gcam mods that are 32bit but idk if they would work anymore

Did you find something? I'm looking for the same, a gcam mod for the g6 play (XT1922-3) running Android 9.
I'd take any running gcam port, because it'll be better then the original camera app, I'd guess...

I've been reading some webs that install lineageos on a LG G8 trough TWRP it this possible?
I have a LG G8 At&t ??* stuck on Android 9
You'll need to root your phone and get TWRP to work (there's a guide for it somewhere in the guide section of this forum). After that you should be able to flash a GSI (https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble).
As far as I know the G8 is an AB device, you should still check with an app though.
Just be aware that not everything works 100% of the time, it's hit or miss with GSIs. Sometimes Bluetooth doesn't work, sometimes sound doesn't, sometimes calls aren't available etc.
Make sure you really want to commit to that.
