Because the firmware and the vendor require a update to android 10 Q.
And when ?
Currently there is no date scheduled for the update.

Do you really know what is Treble? Treble honestly doesn't touch your bootloader (vendor interface) at all which you're upgrading your ROM (end user interface),
so if your bootloader has been at least 8.1, due to Treble you just directly flash your Treble ROM, this comes faster for your further upgrade process.?
What about flashing a treble rom based on miui android 10? Like from Erfan's telegram group?
Phh-gsi 200x boots on mi max3. Even beta gapps are able to sync.. Still does not seem very usable as daily driver, but that's a matter of time.

MIUI10 for Redmi 5 Plus released with android up-gradation to 8.1 from 7.1. When some users got bricked their phones upon downgrading the android version then Xiaomi realized and informed it on their forum that the recent updates have anti roll back protection implemented by Google for enhanced device security.
Well its enough for intro of anti roll back protection, this guide is for users whom have addiction to change roms.
I go through XDA Forum and MIUI Forum I found that users downgrade their phones but the results are nothing except the boot-loop.
Lets move to the guide to safely downgrade your redmi 5 plus!
Requirements:
Definitely Unlocked Bootloader
Custom Recovery
MIUI10 Dev 8.7.3 zip
MIUI9 Dev 8.4.19 or later fastboot rom
Process:
Download the 1st global MIUI10 closed beta 8.7.3 update and flash it using TWRP.
After flashing boot into system and check if your MIUI version is now 8.7.3 then boot the device into fastboot mode.
Load the MIUI9 Dev 8.4.19 or later in Xiaomi/MI Flaash Tool connect you device and select the "clean all" and click on flash.

So provided , my device has MIUI 10.0.4.0, as of now so it wont be a problem to downgrade via "Choose Update Package" in System Updater in About Phone right?

I know it's Global in the name but the title is QJEUXM
It is the EU version Global don't have EU In the name, that's what it says on Reddit. I wasn't sure myself.

I found it strange already because my previous rom was EU version. What's the difference between global and EU?

Fastboot roms can be flashed from the Mi flash apps
Recovery roms are flashed from device settings page, but if it's a beta rom you will need a mi account that is in the china beta program
There's a magisk module that will allow you to skip that account check, you need to be rooted

Try these, they are meant to do the same thing but I cannot remember which one worked for me
I think the first one is for a12, the second is for a11
