Well first of all welcome to the forums, I'm so pleased to see 3 apparently brand new members trying out their posting skills on my little thread
Now if posting links and info to every single SGS FW to this date is a bad source then I'm not sure what a good one is.

I think a new firmware is surely coming up , but all the spammers are obviously been created by one person and just keep replying "bad source" etc.
really strange naming they use now, anyway i don't care about it, keep them coming already 2 days without a flash i am getting tired

I think you need to read that again. The firmware identification says i9000, and then he says he ALSO has some i8000 roms. That is, in addition to JP2.

Ok so our forums are comming (yea i know i do my moves lol) and i havent buy mine but trynna sell my sensation and my SGSII will cost a lil less since i got 18 moths without upgrades so itll cost like 415.

they're prolly just skeptical that we really need our own forum. seeing as that there are already 3 other Galaxy S II forums. but... WE REALLY DO FOLKS! lol. we're not bluffing or wanting special attention. it really is different hardware.

Some sort of forum admin, I'm not sure who the main people are that take care of this thing. With it releasing tomorrow at stores, and packages already in the mail.. there is no reason for it not to be up now though.
T-Mobile GSII forum will be up tomorrow!
The issue of separate forums for all GSII variants came up. We decided to split them all, like we did with original GS, because the devices are different, and it'd get confusing having, for example, a massive ROM thread with ROMs for four different devices. So, yes, tomorrow we'll add the forum.

I have noticed that every defect or bug being discussed by a new thread is being deleted. You will not notice any thread that have a title against Samsung being available. Even though I was aware of many in the first. Is this true or is it speculations? Were those threads deleted by authors themselves? I really don't have an answer. So, what do you guys think?

I been running thunderrom800 for a while now with no problems but unistalled all bloatware and used nova launcher as i cant stand touchwiz! My delivery driver messed it up i had to go to the depot and pick it up myself after waiting like a week!

that's cool. how do I know what variant i will have? i have seen posts regarding 705s, 800s 805s etc. Mines from o2 its the 4g one with 16gb and 10.5 inch screen.
I take it that using a different launcher is sufficient to reduce a lot of this lag?

Hey buddy to answer your question and not be a smart a%# as some of the memebers have chosen to be marshmallow isnt out yet for our note 5, just for future reference you might want to use the search function so you dont get some many sarcastic replys. I am sorry these forums use to be so helpful and kind but seems there is a ton of sarcastic non helpful trolls on the boards. The best guess it probably feb of next year for the at&t note5. I understand it isnt out yet. At the time of my post I read an article that stated the update would be any day now and I also read another saying quarter 1 of 2016. I was just throwing the topic out there for simple discussion. I didnt expect to get blasted like that. Ive posted a couple times on here before and everone was respectful and helpful. So I have stumbled upon a problem with rooting/unlocking the boot loader for the Verizon variant of the mot z play. I've seen posts and other tutorials asking for a solution. But I see a similar reply to those questions: that it isn't going to happen due to the lack of dev support. So I am creating this thread to ask the developers what we (the ones who want root for moto z play Verizon) can do to get their full attention on, not just the moto z play, but all Verizon variants. So Devs What do you want? and Owners, What can you give?

From what I understand, Verizon bootloaders are not unlockable. They have only seen to gotten more strict with this over time. I would recommend getting a non-verizon or att variant of every phone in the future.
"Not Unlock-able" is not in the vocabulary of the hacking world. I know someone some where can crack the boot-loader its only a matter of time and effort. Anything can be cracked.

In a theoretical sense that's likely true. But it may require more time, money and resources than are available to the Devs on XDA. I think the point is, if you buy a locked Verizon or AT&T device, don't count on an unlock ever being available, especially if you aren't paying the salary of the guy working on it.
