Unable to get IMEI - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Please i need advice, my imei is missing after i flash my phone to china rom because after i upgrade it to oreo it become stuck in recovery mode. I've tried many ways to restore QCN but it need a rooted phone. Any advice please..

Since you don't have a unlocked bootloader you can't do anything, I think it's best to send it to warranty.

Need help with which firmware to flash

hello, I have the sprint ls990 model, basically I was messing around and I soft bricked the device, now its stuck on the LG logo. i tried factory reset from boot into recovery which didnt help. Now I am trying to reflash but I am confused with which firmware to pick since I want to be able to have root access and sim unlock.
I was already rooted and sim unlocked on ls990zv6 kitkat firmware (not sure about bootloader) before the brick. So my question is now if I flash the same firmware or the new ZV8(lollipop) using lgflashtool , will this remove the root and sim unlock?
If it removes it, then what option I have? Because Ive read you have to downgrade to ZV4 to root and sim unlock, so if my bootloader is not unlocked, then I will brick the phone???? And if I remain on ZV6 or update to ZV8, And then if root, sim unlock is not possible, then Im stuck with that because I cant downgrade with locked bootloader????????
Please answer this for me. thanks

Hello everyone. I need help from anyone that can offer. I have a duk-al20 and tried to rebrand it to duk-al09 c900. Now initially manage to unlock bootloader and flash twrp recovery. Then i flashed oem info through twrp and there it all started. It supposed that my phone would reboot after that but it got stuck at erecovery saying that i should update to the latest version and restore. Anyway after a lot of attempts i used dc unlocker and finaly flashed through update the firmware for duk-al09 c900. Now the problem is that my device has no imei (000000000000) and i can not use it. I can not flash twrp either cause it gives an error "Failed: remote image verification error". Please please help me out cause i am despert.
Use HCU CLIENT to change serial and IMEIs. It will cost you 15$.
That's all I can think of

Note 8 Pro stuck on recovery menu with locked bootloader - Please Help!!

Hi,
I got a Chinese Redmi Note 8 Pro which I tried to convert to Global ROM but while flashing I accidently selected the "Flash & Lock" option. The phone is now stuck in recovery menu and shows "This MIUI cannot be installed on this device". The bootloader is also locked again and I am unable to reflash it using the official tool. I am able to get into Fastboot mode.
Please someone advice how can I recover the phone (even on stock Chinese ROM). The official service centres in my country are of no help as the device was not purchased locally. It seems you can get it done online by paying someone with an authorized MI account but I am a bit hesitant to go that way.
I have found lots of guides and youtube videos using SP Flash tool, MTK tools etc but it is not clear if those method will work in my case as my bootloader is locked. Also most of those methods seems to be for a hard bricked phone but I am atleast able to get into fast boot mode. Can someone please guide me exactly which method will work in my case? I dont mind if the phone recovers to the stock chinese rom.
Thanks

Question Carrier ROM not updating since miui 12.5.5. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi, my carrier purchased 'Lisa' came with its ROM showing as version RKOEUBY.
My carrier isn't keeping up with updates so was wondering if I can just flash the ROM RKOEUXM without unlocking the bootloader?
I have my banking apps etc on this phone so am reluctant to unlock the bootloader unless absolutely necessary.
If anyone else has found an easy way to solve this would be grateful for your feedback.
Many thanks

Hi !
The best way is to download the zip of your European ROM from the Xiaomi site and try to install it from the update utility in your phone's settings. If that doesn't work, you'll have to unlock your bootloader, install the ROM you want with the flash utility, and choose the relock option before the install starts. Then you will be on an official Xiaomi ROM, with your bootloader locked and you will have updates from Xiaomi and no longer from your operator.

Hi,
I confirm that manually flashing the European ROM does not work (in my case at least), so I am stuck on MIUI 12.5.6 with RKOEUSF ROM.
If anyone finds a way to upgrade to the official version without unlocking the bootloader, and therefore not breaking the warranty, I would be grateful if you could share it.
Thanks
Hi !
From the moment you want to install a new ROM, you have no choice but to unlock your bootloader. You can then reblock it. Afterwards, I don't know if the warranty is impacted because you go through the official unlocking from Xiaomi.
Bill
Thanks Bill,
I've just tried flashing the zip of my ROM and the phone just quits the update after a long pause, saying that it cannot verify update.
Guess I'll have to unlock the bootloader. There's plenty of info about how to do this, but I've noticed a number of people complaining about the flash process.
When they apply the update, at the end they get an error message. The only way they get round this is with an edit of the settings of miflash.
Is this something I need to worry about?
Just been reading about these errors and it appears that they are caused by the path to the ROM file having too many characters.
Placing the ROM file in your C: folder solves this.

Question Brick relock bootloader

Let's see if someone can help me, I locked the bootloader again after putting the last stock rom of my moto g10 and it does not start. I only have access to fastboot with flash locked. i can't unlock it again or flash stock rom. with lmsa it gives me an error and stops at 26%. I have tried to flash the blankflash but it does not take the qualcomm drivers but the android device. I don't know what to do to revive it.
sorry for my bad english, google translate
I managed to put it in edl mode and flash a blankflash, but I get the same result bootloader locked. I can't flash anything or unlock the bootloader, it's definitely dead. It only remains to find a motherboard to replace it...
Ok, what I have is to find a compatible blankflash and stock firmware so that it will let me flash stock rom. someone could help me? I have already tried 3 different ones with no result.
whit themagictoolinstaller.exe i managed to change the flashinglocked mode to oemlocked. After this with rescue & smart assistant I was able to flash his stock rom. Solved
